This is a really useful video. It actually didn't fix my problem though - turned out I had inadvertently turned the kill switch off (or on). So if you're still not getting anywhere, check the kill switch.
@@fegamike7477 It probably depends on your machine. There may not be a kill switch. Mine's a tiny little switch on the right hand edge of my keyboard (i.e. on the side).

I have the same error, on a Lenovo T520. This Regedit fix did nothing, Camera it is still not found. It worked 2 days ago, then i reisnstalled W10. I already tried most of what i found on this issue. It is not hardware failure... Every time someone is saying it is simple to solve, it is not :)
It didn't work for me but I found out what was wrong with it. if you have a stream deck something in the installment is making the camera not work, I pulled out the USB from the computer and the camera came on. So I think I'm going to uninstall the stream deck device and start over I think I did something wrong when I installed the device.
People, I tried it and no video could solve my problem, so my laptop had a problem that was automatically resolved. Try to see if you have a problem on your laptop, not your camera. Thank you! The local computer guy here charged me 1300rs for fixing my webcam. Said the adapter was burnt, and the wired needed to be replaced. One month later the same problem happened again. This time I decided to fix it myself and found your video. Now I'm taking some of my friends there and getting my money back.
