I just bought that Aveeno calm & restore serum. It's the first facial skincare I've bought from the brand, my skin is loving it. I'm 41 almost 42 with dry skin and I like it more than most of the higher-end, luxury skincare I've tried. It's definitely worth trying.

I’m so glad y’all got this ❤ Dollar Tree has a rip off dupe that’s just awful! They don’t contain the same ingredients as the real stuff! The ingredients that are nourishing your skin aren’t in the dupes. I’m saying this in case someone posts they got it at Dollar Tree lol cause NO….they didn’t. (I’m a Licensed Esthetician (retired) colloidal Oatmeal is so good for your skin!

I was using a HA serum and was still getting dry, I just thought my skin isn’t dealing well with the cold weather. When I tell you all my products had HA all the way to my sunscreen. I saw her video and cut my HA products out and I noticed such a huge difference.

I’m sticking to my CeraVe. I also use BeautyBay’s calming serum when I wear makeup and Korres probiotic Greek yoghurt serum when I don’t. The glycerine and water from part 1 is something I’ll definitely implement though!

My skin flared up recently, was super dry and would react angrily to my moisturiser (think the cold weather plus applying too much of it had caused it). I spotted the Aveeno calm and restore products, bought the cleanser, serum, and moisturiser. They have helped immensely in just a few days. I also spray my face occasionally with a hypochlorous acid cleanser, and use an aloe vera sunscreen. My skin’s almost back to normal!

Could you please do videos on peptides and ceramides in skincare. Explaining what they are and how they work etc. Also are there other brands of the ones in this video you can name, they aren't available in my country xxx couldyou also do like, Australian skincare, then French skin care, Korean skincare videos. Im just really interested in all of the different approaches to skincare. What would you recommend for fine lines because of moisture loss under eye area on sensitive skin.? I know it's moisture loss bc i accidentally dried it out over a period of weeks too often in the shower bc thats where the water falls for a prolonged amount of time, directly onto the top of my cheeks, under eyes. I'm trying to restore it to avoid irritation and strengthen the skin barrier there, so it's robust against rashes and irritants. Most products don't recommend being put in the delicate eye area. Xxxx

Thanks. Needed these recommendations. Living in Cali, NorCal. Its arid AF. Im dry dry dry!!!!! Hyaluronic feels good for one second but bc its so arid here & your skin is more moist than the air around, it will literally suck the moisture OUT of your skin. So, its essential to go over top of it with some actual moisture.

It's not complicated water based before oil based. treatments before moisturizer. As far as bad interactions there really isn't much to note aside from niacinamide and low ph products which cause it to degrade to niacin and cause a flush and very few products that cause uv sensitivity. Otherwise at most it's just a minor reduction in effectiveness.

@@mariindigo3110Hyaluronic Acid has a wide variety of molecular weight, ranging from low to high, which affects the depth of the skin that the Hyaluronic Acid will be absorb. At the same time, it can also increase the sensitivity, but a lot of people are unaware how much the weight the difference ultimately makes.
Hyaluronic Acid pulls the moisture out of the air and into the skin, but some people can't tolerate it. This is especially the case for those who live in a drier climate with very low humidity, but it could also possibly be something as simple as using the wrong molecular weight of Hyaluronic Acid.
*Keep in mind throughout this comment that Hyaluronic Acid pulls the moisture out of the air, but if the air is dry, it's not going to give a moisturizing effect. It's going to do the exact opposite, it's going to pull the dry air into the skin, especially when a Hyaluronic Acid serum is being used on its own, without a moisturizer to "seal" everything in. This is also where a lot of dryness, increased sensitivity and irritation can come from. I learned this after moving to the desert and from my own trial and error. For reference, my skin type is normal.
What I have personally found to be the most beneficial is that after applying my serum, I dampen my skin by spraying a very light toner mist over the serum, which is made with a base of any one or all of the following. Aloe Vera, Vegetable Glycerin, Ceramide, Hydrosol (herbal water, such as Rose, Orange, Witch Hazel, lemongrass, etc) mineral water, or even the good old plain filtered water.
While the skin is still slightly damp, I apply a heavier moisturizer to my skin, but I don't allow it to absorb just yet. After the moisturizer is applied (before it's dry) I lightly spray over the moisturizer again, (with one of the toners mentioned above) then press and tap until absorbed.
When using a thicker moisturizer over the Hyaluronic Acid serum, it will pull the moisturizing goodness out of the moisturizer and pushes it into the skin, which gives my skin the ultimate hydration, it's smooth as silk!
To reduce the cost, I make my own toner, which is mainly a simple organic Aloe Vera juice, Hydrosol and a couple drops of Vegetable Glycerin, then shake well. There's really no need to measure, I just add about a quarter amount of the Aloe Vera juice to the Hydrosol water, a couple drops of Vegetable Glycerin and shake. If you give this a try, start with a small travel size bottle, until it's just right for your personal preference. I often leave the Vegetable Glycerin out though, depending on how my skin is doing.
There's also times that I'll only use Aloe Vera juice in a travel spray bottle, or just plain filtered water by itself. There's no scientific explanation behind it, it just depends on my skin is needing. By simply spraying my skin with a light mist in the steps mentioned, and with whatever concoction from above, it has made a world of difference in my skin! The light spray will also help to "push" all ingredients a little further into the skin, ultimately helping with the absorption. It's one very minimal step that has made a world of difference for me personally, I won't go without it.
Even though this is a long winded reply and you may not have been looking for a novel length explanation, I hope it helps! This is also very relaxing, it's a great way to unwind before bed ❤

a year later but one very nice choice is dermalogicas resurfacing cleanser. It's nice and creamy and smells like rose water and has pretty strong acids in it. The longer you massage on skin the more the effect so it basically solves exfoliation using it everyday and customizable to what you need based on time cleansing. 30 seconds is the recommended to start.

So how are we suppose to use your fading system, plus retinol & Trentinoin plus ceramides, the stuff that makes your muscles not move in spots, diaper rash triple ointment, on & on & on? Can i even layer some retinol in there somehow?
Please make a video (not a 5 second short) explaining how to use all so many products on our skin. Pleeeeease!!!

muscle freeze stuff>fading> trentinoin(could mix both and apply together which is what I'd do)>ceramide>moisturizer>diaper ointment last optional. If the muscle freeze stuff you are talking about is not a peptide but a temp lifting product you don't want to put much of anything on top of it aside from maybe moisturizer but test first.

Hi! I love your videos. I just started using a tretinoin product around 6 months ago but I still get really dry skin at times & am still purging a bit, but not as bad as the beginning. What product/ingredients can I use to soothe my (oily) skin when it's affected by the tretinoin but also won't clog my pores? Recommendations appreciated, thank you!
