Look forward to seeing you make some more lace, i'm confused just watching you make lace if the bobbins are different match that would total be confused to me...good luck Tanya :) Even tho i'm a minimalist I still cant help myself buying sewing items it feels good hehe! Love your stash Xx Maureen
I just got my bobbin lace stuff from snowgoose lace and either they heard your complaint or got their act together because my bobbins actually all match down to the bead colors in the correct locations. can't wait to learn this cool looking lace stuff
Yeah I heard the frustration in your voice on this video. Someone suggested Beginners guide to bobbin lace that has more as far as helping a beginner than the book that came with the kit. Do you agree or is there another beginner book you recommend?
Timothy Musick I never really had a beginner book. I was fortunate enough to have my lace teacher and she taught me the basics. If you watch my video #123 I believe I show a book that my pattern came from and the one my teacher recommended. I hope to do some more videos this year sometime.
Oh what a fun and unique haul! I can't believe what you have to pay in duty fees! Highway robbery I'll tell ya'! If you are to have "PAIRS" I would be bothered by not only the beads not matching but the bobbing not matching either....but I am very Type-A so that may be just me. I am very much looking forward to seeing more of your gorgeous creations! ;) Valerie
I would call the company about them not matching just like crossstitchbutton said that would be very confusing and a pain to have to keep looking for the one big bead all the time. I am looking forward to see you making your lace. Thanks for sharing
Hi I realize this video is 10 years old, do you remember where you bought your kit? Do you still do bobbin lace? If there are space available in the guild of my town, I might join
Tatting is one of the least expensive of the laces to learn. You can learn online for free and the supplies can be gotten at a discount on several online stores and Amazon.com I knit, crochet, and tat. Tatting and crochet have taken first and second place. I am wondering if bobbin lace is a little too visual for me. Ah well, neat haul in any case.
The kit which I just ordered is now $77 and a kit of just the bobbins is $22 and it says on the website they'll be varied I guess that means beads too. Oh well its still a good deal, I shopped around but Snowgoose was the best deal.
I'd say this way cool omg oh oh oh oh another hobby I'm going to go check out my craft store this afternoon lol pick up girlfriend and shop shop way too many wins happening in this house hehehe hehehe
I saw on a video that the beads would be different on the sets of pairs. It’s like one set of beads are a different color or order. This was implied that it was done purposely. Sorry I don’t remember which company it was for.
Holy cow...another expensive hobby! I've often thought about learning how to tat. But that's just too expensive for me. I have enough hobbies anyway. lol TFS Jess
First lesson in bobbin lacemaking - forget about matching pairs! You need to look where the threads are crossing, NOT at the beads. As well, if you insist on keeping pairs together, how are you going to manage half stitch?
Nelson Murillo Like Ellen? Lol that’s a new one. Some people think I sound like Amy from Big Bang. Lol you’re right! I’m Canadian, born and raised in Nova Scotia. Thanks for watching.
@@RedCardinalCrafts The Big Bang Theory. Never seen it but I heard it was hilarious! Ha. Nice! And yea I want to learn to do lacing(sorry if that's the correct term). I'm very interested in anything that's Art. I would consider this to be that.
Very cool haul! You make me so interested in bobbin lace!
Nice! Where did you buy these?

Gostei muito dessa aula como faço para comprar esses acessórios me ajude tenho muita vontade de aprender obrigada
I think Snowgoose has gotten better about matching their bobbin beads. I have gotten several sets, and they all match spot-on.

Timothy Musick That's awesome! That drove me crazy that they didn't match. Yay! Congrats on your new supplies! Have fun!

are the pins that came with it ok or should I get some with a little bit bigger head or does it matter? They are tiny heads on them

I have watched your bobbin lace videos and really like them. I do hope you make more bobbin lace videos.

I would love to see you make the butterfly lace things
Nice supplies. Where you get the bobbins

Well, if they matched 100% you would miss out on being able to see which is which in the pair. I would prefer it like this

Do you show how to wind the bobbins to get started? Perhaps in slow motion? I'm just learning. Thank You.

che bellissimi fuselli, li voglio anch'io!!!!!
Where’d you get the supplies from?

It 👀 like the main largest bead on your bobbin’s are what you should be looking at when doing your lacework!
I think the bobbins don't totally match so you can see left and right of the same set of bobbins.
The kit which I just ordered is now $77 and a kit of just the bobbins is $22 and it says on the website they'll be varied I guess that means beads too. Oh well its still a good deal, I shopped around but Snowgoose was the best deal.
Add some nail polish to the beads that don't match, and do it on both, then they will match.

Do you have a store name and address where you bought this pillow, etc?
I bought my supplies from www.snowgoose.com

Might be more helpful if you painted them in pair’s!!
