Thank you for making thisvideo , i have been watching beginner videos for two days....... yours is most definitely the clearest with excellent instructions . Roz from Oz x
Ahhh Roz, thank you so much. If you have any questions then please email me at info@thecraftcorner.co.uk I know how daunting lacemaking is and am always happy to answer questions. Do let me know how you get on.
As a pre-beginner I would like to see a video with the same pattern through out and really focus on the bobbin and that action over and over. Maybe using colored bobbins so I can absorb the basic motor skills. Thank you.
You are welcome, just wish I had more time to make more videos. If you have any questions then please email me at info@thecraftcorner.co.uk I am always happy to help all lace makers.
This makes me think I can actually do bobbin lace. I have tried knitting lace but it makes my brain hurt and takes about an hour for every inch of lace. Thank you.
Hello Diana Thank you for your comments, it is so good to know that the video is a help for others. I will certainly look at doing some ground video's as you are so right, they are difficult to get to grips with. Thank you.
Brilliant , I have never done this before and I've just bought a kit and books but I prefer watching . Would love a talking video, although I guess you watch more if by our not listening .
Hello, this is a very difficult question, a bit like asking how much should I wind on a bobbin! There are many factors to take into account, the size (width/length) of the lace, how many pairs of bobbins you have to use, the type of lace and many more on top of that. Bobbin lace is not a fast hobby unless you have a deadline for a wedding garter but it is a very rewarding one.
very good but can you do that and talk so we can see how you were doing that from the beginning I have not ran across too many people that do bobbin lace and speak English in Show show like the beginning of how you do that
I have seen what feels like THOUSANDS of beginner videos 😂and this is the only video that has helped me… THANK YOU!!❤
Ahhh thank you. I hope you can start making lace now. If you have any questions then please just ask.
Have you ever done this with sewing thread? I'm curious about what will happen. This video is awesome. Thank you for the tutorial. 😊

Lace bobbins are usually handmade wood turners. If you can't find any then you can use pencils.
