Attach your needlepoint to stretcher bars to keep it from warping. Years ago I did Creative Circle that sold different type hand crafts & decor items. They sold various sized stretcher bars and when you finished your project you could just pop it into frames they also sold. We had needlepoint, cross stitch, embroidery, felt and candle wicking kits. It's great to see all the variety of crafts you work on. TFS.
Nice bookmark Tanya, your so good at crochet...great to see your cross stitch finished ;)would love to see more of your art as well your soooo talented Xx maureen
Ooo can't wait to see your Micky ..... WOW WOW WOW I LOVE YOUR BOOKMARK ..... it's flipping gorgeous .... Oh and I still want to be in your family ... You make the best gifts :) xxx thanks for sharing xxx
I thought I was into almost every craft there is until I saw your lacemaking! So very intricate and lovely. You really should frame it and hang it in a place of honor! The cards are so fun! I like the traveler. You're taking me back in time with the sole-less sandals!
WHEW...I am so super glad that I am not that only one who has multiple crafts going on at one time and many of them unfinished! We are like the ADHD of crafting! ;) You bookmark is stunning and I totally would frame it and put a spotlight on it! I LOVE Holly Hobby! I grew up in the 70's and my room was decorated in Holly Hobby! Can I come live with you? :)
I love seeing all your crafty things!! I thought I was the only person who still enjoys cross stitching, although I haven't picked it up in about a year or so. I'm trying to get caught up on scrap booking now!
YAY .... Hello cousin :) Xxxxx I love watching your videos ... I just watched the one where you are on tv about your book .... Great interview xxx love from cousin Tina :) (LLC )
Hi Karen Sue! Thanks for your lovely comments. Thanks for watching my interview too. I was so-o nervous doing that. Amigurumi is actually Japanese. It's the art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed animals and creatures. I love trying new crafts but then I get myself overwhelmed and take on too many projects. ;-)
Hello again! How are you! You can be my long lost cousin! LOL. My Mickey might take awhile because I have to order more doll eyes in a larger size. I'm going to work on his other body parts until those arrive and I can finish his head. Thanks for watching!
Ari-ga-who-me? What in the world language is that? Is that like oragami but with yarn? LOL WoW Tanya you do so many different crafts. Is there a craft that you DON'T do? I find it hard to believe that there is anything out there that you have not conquered or at least tried. Love your book - so cute! Saw your interview video too. Nice to see ya! I'm going to check out your other channels too. ~hugs~ Karen Sue / ScrappyKsue
I've been crocheting for years and yep you go through the front :) since you like new crafts you should try spinning your own yarn! I've also been doing that for years and love it! And now time for shameless promotion I'm Spinerosity on etsy if you ever want to try spinning!
I enjoyed seeing all of your projects! Wow! You really stay busy! I am especially interested in the bobbin lace bookmark. Beautiful! Where did you find the ham & bobbins? I would love to get into that! I saw it on an old movie once & fell in love with it! I don't remember the name of the movie. I just dream of all the beautiful lace to be made by hand instead of buying pre-made lace. All of your crafts turn out beautiful! You truly are multi-talented & blessed by God!
HI! Regarding your needlepoint is warped because you did it RIGHT. all the stitches should go the same way. You probably know by now it is easily corrected when you wash and block it. While it's still damp you pin it out in the correct shape on something flat and allow it to dry. It will be fine. In putting all the stitches on direction it pull the fabric a bit in that direction. I watched this one because I wanted to see how that book mark came out, it's beautiful!
Would you recommend "the bobbin lace manual" or "the technique of bobbin lace" as a good book for bookmarks for number of bookmarks vs. price (also how nice the bookmarks are too lol) Or do you know a better book for bookmarks?
Oh wait! Did you meant the artist trading cards that I bought the individual sleeves for? Yes, I did those drawings. I show more about those on my video #73, artist trading cards. Sorry I thought you meant the greeting card.
Hi, Yes I did. I will do another video of the accordion card when I finish it to show you the other drawings I'm going to add to it. Thanks for watching!
