The Verdigris never fails me now that I have the hang of it. I lay it on thickly over metallic paint, go back over with water to get the pale green streaks I want, then touch back up the underlying bronze/copper with more paint to show where it's "rubbed off" (rather than removing the verdigris effect). Did take a lot of trial and error to get the feel of it, though.

Loving the test! For MUCH brighter patina try mixing 50/50 with alcohol or water

Been having trouble with the verdigris - yours is one of the best videos on it. I love Dirty Down, but yeah it costs about $25 a bottle through most places in the US.

The verdigris and moss effects have given me real problems. The only thing I've found that works for me is to get a mix the product 1:1 with water before adding it to the model. If I use it straight out the bottle it just dries completely dark. I have to put a satin varnish down first too. Over matte paints it doesn't seem to work. Tricky product to use unfortunately. The rust one is the best of the bunch

Yes I would agree that the moss and vedigris definitely needs more TLC than the rust. I found that temperature is a big factor but I am liking your suggestions. I might have to go back and do some more tests... thanks!

Verdigris is a waste of money, other brands patinas are just as good, esp Nik Oxide.
