Came back after 3 years and happy to have contributed yesterday in Procyon killing one of the big ones at the Coriolis station Two hydras were camping the mailslot too
o7 Commanders!! I'm glad I made it back to the Bubble in time to help. It cost me two 'Conda rebuys, but I did my part to ferry refugees from Davy Dock to the Cornwallis. Great work everyone; now on to Sirius for me!
My hubby was out there fighting the good fight ! Until the 3 hydras came at once 😅 at that point he did an escape in his unengeneered, not super fast ship. He is going to precure material to upgrade then continue the war efforts. No wife could be prouder!! ❤ Idk if anyone else noticed, but watching passenger, i saw he was able to go into the station, collect missions and repair his ship. He didnt realise until quite a bit in, his cockpit blew out and in desperation tried (successfully) to dock and repair. Just in case anyone else needed this information! 😊
Outstanding! To have such a major victory so soon really encouraging. I love how the galaxy is coming together for this. Let's make a Christmas miracle!
Fellas, bring collector limpets when fighting near settlements so you can farm materials for azimuth multicannons. The drops are not seen in the contact screen but can be picked by collectors
I've been splitting my time between evacuating the wounded & combat. I don't usually play in open but the help learning the combat mechanics from other commanders has been incredible. Home by Christmas eh? Hmm...
i believe in the AX crowd, when they blow up the titan, what happens to sol? whats happened to every other solar system with an exploding titan? what planets it right next to?
If I remember the Thargoid war mechanics correctly, we lose one settlement per week that a system remains in an invasion state. So even in a worst case scenario, we shouldn't lose all the systems under invasion immediately.
I was there when we liberated the system. Everyone fought hard and fought well together. Got my first hydra kill while I was at it. Well fought cmdr's o7
how does this work exactly? you just go to the invasion systems and randomly kill thargoids or like you need to do missions or specific interceptor variants or something
I wish that there's more news of it from each power leaders, like a speech from arissa, aisling, archer, etc. for the thargoid invasion. It'll make it more immersive.
Finally got in on AX combat. Killed some scouts and got some licks in on some Hydra while others took it down. Even got in one repair on another commander. All of that and managed to repair at the ground port and stay alive through the instance. 🤣 Also got more comfortable maneuvering a Chieftain but I have GOT to get a HOTAS now.
I finally got myself a fully engineered shieldless ax meta krait 2 tonight. Tomorrow I'm joining the fight. Hopefully I'll do some good, haven't fought many bugs before.
@@ironbear3026 I spent Thursday grinding guardian mats and Friday engineering mats. I went for the build AXI posted with 3 guardian gauss cannons. But thank you, and the same! o7
@@SkadadeLjud Hmm I think thats a solo fight build, in combat zones, especially around stations or outposts you dont really need the Flak, or atleast i never needed it
I just joined elite yesterday as a completely new player. I did as much as I could in my imperial eagle (I died multiple times and got carried by my friends lol)
Amazing Cmdr! Very impressive joining the battle at such an early stage in your AX career! Get yourself into a Krait mk2 as soon as you can and show those Goids what for!
I absolutely recommend going for a Diamondback Scout, if you don't want to save as long for a Krait. I'm using one as a stealth scout ship (shieldless, but heavily armoured), and I don't plan to change this during the ongoing weeks. The DBS is great as a stealth ship due to its generally low heat signature. True, I engineered it a little bit in order to make it as cool as possible. Clean Drive Tuning (grade 3), Low Emission Power Plants (grade 1), Thermal Spread, where possible, all from Felicity Farseer. Engine Focused Power Distributor (grade 5) from The Dweller, so I can boost virtually all the time. Ah, and I also use long range sensors, which is however considered luxury by me. But I didn't have time (nor unlocked engineers that would help) for other things, so that's what I do. Resting heat is 18 % (I didn't switch any modules off, maybe it could be less...), and I can shake interceptors easily by going into silent running. I equipped my scout ship with two Class 2 Enhanced AX Multi-Cannons (gimballed) and two Class 1 Advanced Missile Racks (dumbfire) - for the latter you can synthesize AX munitions (but you need some guardian materials). Both weapons can be bought from Rescue Megaships. I use Heat Sink, Caustic Sink, Enhanced AX Scanner and a Shutdown Field Neutralizer in my utility slots. Obviously, the stealth scout is a perfect scout hunter. Aside from that, it is very effective in killing Interceptors in a combined effort. As soon as a heart is exposed, I dive in, and shred it with my AX multicannons. Of course, how good that works in one or two passes depends on my position in relation to the Interceptor, but it worked many times during the past weeks. I only tried to take on a single Cyclops once, but couldn't get a single heart exposed with my limited firepower. Problem might be: the Advanced Missile Racks need guardian materials for their AX ("standard") munitions, but I don't intend to fetch materials anytime soon. Therefore, they probably don't even scratch the Thargoid's hull, I still fire them though, for practice. No, problem though, as I seem to be able to escape any Interceptor by using stealth tactics. The Enhanced Xeno Scanners allows me to target hearts, the Shutdown Field Neutralizer keeps me (mostly) from getting disabled, Caustic Sink Launcher helps me remove even the effect from the big Interceptor missiles. "Kestrel 1" got destroyed a few weeks ago, when I got a little bit too cocky. "Kestrel 2" got down to 10 or 20 % hull for dozens of times since then, but could always escape. I love this build, and don't plan to change it during the war. No time for that! :v Also proud to have been part of the Battle of Procyon in this ship. P.S.: However, if someone has any advice how to get Guardian Power Cells, Guardian Power Conduits and Guardian Technology Components very quickly, ideas are welcome! Don't want to get away from the battle for long, though..
