I dont mean to be mean but Vehicle inspection is the most important part of driving a company vehicle. It should NEVER be passed up! I was driving a van delivery one time and during my vehicle inspection, I found 4 lug nuts on the front right tire were all loose! If I had made it on the freeway or canyon road and that tire came off...I'd be in trouble. Another time, I found a nasty bolt lodged in the rear tire...The inspection is for your safety but to each his own.
Exactly! Most importantly vehicle check
The problem is they don't give enough time for us to do the Inspections. The least amount of time is 90seconds to go around the van and check. We get like 2 minutes then is the meeting then load out.
🤣 its not that fkn serious
@@user-ft4hx6kk5wit's not serious until it happens to you. You assume the risk of longer days by not just taking a few minutes to do a quick run through.
@@infini.tesimo i been driving over a year, ive had issues...ITS NOT THAT FKN SERIOUS. unless a wheel is loose or the steering wheel is missing, they arent gonna groubd it anyway...
Quick pointer. Amazon keeps track of "how long it takes" for you to do that vehicle inspection. If you just zoom through it like that and click submit right away, they will eventually catch up with you and know you're not really inspecting the van. (Then you go an post online that you're not doing it either lol). Best way I learned is skip all the way till the end where you click "I agree" then submit, and wait at LEAST 90 seconds before clicking submit.
Lol 😂 Heavy Bags In the background is absolutely atrocious..and she's all happy about it
I start training to deliver in a week and I honestly think I’m going to love it, it’s way better than my last job, being on call 24/7 365 and having difficult customers installing windshields and other auto glass sometimes being in the cold for 3 hours and still being told the job I did was trash, I was driving on average with a company truck 70 to 80 miles just to do a job, no pay raises at all. I’m familiar with delivery jobs as I drove an 18 wheeler all over the country and was barely home, working for an Amazon DSP seems great because I’ll be able to at least see my family now and make decent money at the same time. Thanks for making and sharing this video.
How was it bro ? I start soon I think gotta go take a drug test now and read about ups they make bank 100k I wanna stay with Amazon for a year or 2 get exp and maybe try for ups
@@delapaloma6934 it's not that bad out on the blue mile , the routing sucks but there are ways of fixing that , I've heard that UPS is good but hard to get in as a driver to make it easier to get in I'd recommend once you're use to the sprinter Vans to get in a step van and get your D.O.T. certification once you have that on record through the Department of motor vehicle it's easier to get in as a driver with UPS , FedEx plays a lot of games with the pay so I definitely don't recommend them also FedEx is somewhat like Amazon they are Dsp run , Amazon is not bad though . Keep in mind though that whichever Dsp your with could have their Contract from Amazon Cut at anytime , thankfully I was hired on by a Newer Dsp who is cool and takes care of the team , some Dsp's are straight up horrible . Good luck and many good vibes your way .
@@SonnyWolfSmiles thanks man what about thc test if you fail will they still hire you ? I have it today lol finna go buy fake pee lol
@@SonnyWolfSmilesit’s not hard to get in at UPS just right now their is hiring freeze due to contract times. UPS really care about safety and their is a 30 day trial period before you officially make it. Our packages are a lot heavier in average and we do pickups but not every route does that.
@@delapaloma6934what do u think
I’m a ups driver for 5 years and I know how good and bad days can be keep up the good work 👍🏼
You really like it that much tho?
I don’t like the job but I like the $130k a make a year
What a great video! Always interesting and fascinating! Also love your energy, the Spanglish is also funny😂
the part about the porta potty, thats true, i had to use it when i was doing nursery routes the first time and thank god i was delivering in an area where houses are being built
Hi, Nice to see you enjoying yourself at work. I'm hoping to start this job in the UK soon. Thanks for the video. 👍
Dam y’all get your carts handed to you? We have to get them ourselves lol
This is dope to see.. I'm moving to San Rafael, CA soon and was considering driving for Amazon since I already do it for Doordash. This was dope to see
It’s very different especially since DoorDash is just what you want to do.
When i used to work for amazon driver we actually had to get the cart and start to pick up packages and load the bags to the van by ourselves plus the oversized boxes. Back then was $13/hr.
Still do 19hr
Atleast she’s happy
Starting to deliver part-time very soon. Saturdays and Sundays 9am-7:30pm. Curious how it'll go.
Be ready for people to pop out the doors for their packages. Weekends are the worst in my opinion. But im also an hardcore introvert, so if you like people interaction you will be just fine. Watch fpr the dogs though!
how much do they make as part time ?
@@briandarwin7297 the rate is the same as full-time; $20.75/h.
@Alexander Rapp NJ
Yeah i just started and they gave me 112 stops first day but it was in the white van with no shelves so the totes kept tipping over and i had no space to organize til like half way through. Finished at 6:00 on the dot, also wasted 40 mins at a gas station in the morning and had to use my own money cause they never assigned me a customer id and the person before me didnt fuel up at night 😅. i think tomorrow ima stack 3 high and use the bungie cord that i found under the passenger seat to keep them from tipping over.
Damn you got done super late
I lpve the rental vans! No camera is the best way to focus on what you need to do!
Stack your bags 3x3 from the back overflow on small shelf makes more room
you are such a beautiful soul... stay safe out there my friend!!
Hard working young lady. I love your spirit and that you keep yourself going with the music.
Very neat when you turned in your truck. Exactly how it should be. Great video. You were eating a Moon Pie. They make them in banana too. really good when you are hungry.
I Used to Work for Peloton and I was a service tech Same thing as in having my own route but I had to go inside peoples homes and engage while I fixed their fitness stationary bike and ill start working from 6:00am - 3:30pm - 7pm depending if the people could take us in earlier since they would have a specific time in which they'll be available. Btw awesome job in el jale id be tired if I were to have many stops
I love your good mood🤩 enjoy sweety and good luck😉
Tomorrow is my first day of real work , I’m going to be on my own , so you’re video was really helpful 👌🏾

it looks fun but exhausting to work at amazon great video and really informative keep up the great work 😀
Cams are just being rolled out in the blue vans. Never take a lunch 30 minutes worth of break I do but I'm in the van I am getting paid.
exhausting? they get no heavy big packages. everything is small😂 try doing fed ex where your doing 200+ stops and all big heavy shit. I doing wanna hear exhausting 😂🤡
@@jonathangriffin6828 you could just leave FedEx and go drive for Amazon....
@@jonboatmorava9115 why would I want 18$ hr lol
@@jonathangriffin6828 see there's the thing. You can either do more work and make more money or you can go make less money and less work. Up to you.
Looking at those 200 stops. I feel dizzy…
I deliver for a DSP in the Bronx NY and its bad af, sometimes we be having mores the 100 stops with 300+ packages, we also have building that doesn’t have elevators and you have to deliver to the 5th floors, we not allowed to leave the packages in the lobby because they get stolen. Ppl say amazon is better but to be honest is bad as hell, specially in my borough. I’m a StepVan driver.
I agree with you it’s cool at first but then they take advantage of you and give you more and more each day, and expect a lot from us

Lol you got the Bad Bunny bangin? That's what's up.
I don't get the bags in front of the side door would be easier to leave that open so you can exit with packages that way
Everyone does it differently I get rid of those Toats first, and I don’t have much overflow at the beginning so I don’t struggle on that.
@@lizethmedina1215 I get it just wondering I'm not lucky with the BS overflow and damn you have people bring your carts to you I'm jelly lol
Aye hustling 💪🏾💰💪🏾
Never realized drivers need to load their trucks. Thats too much to ask especially the amount of packages. I believe they should hire several individuals to load trucks make it easier and i believe the result woukd bd less turnover. Yr a hard workjng young woman. I admire that.
I agree with you!!! Puts a lot of pressure on the Amazon drivers, and you basically overwork yourself, and thank you, I appreciate it!!
Solid day’s work! Keep it up! 📦
Have you ever tried sitting on your seat? I do it all time and I’m hella fast. I be done with 190 stops within 4-5 ish hours. I hate apartments tho. Apartments =longer days
All i get is apartments lol I’m tired
@@eddyc3181 me too, these past 3 weeks been mostly apartments. I be getting done late :/ lmao
@@hiwebula I just finished up my first full week of work, them apartments are a pain,😂. It's most definitely has its challenges, but it's a decent job though.
@@tatheblkpaladin ya I agree
I know it's been a year, but how do you take your lunch break? Does the app tells you when to go lunch?
to answer your question yes you would get a pop up sometime throughout the day asking if you want to take a break
@@tubeee87 it’s usually 30 minutes. The app will tell you to go on lunch. If you’re ahead you can take a longer break. It all depends on how fast you deliver, and what’s convenient for you.
I drive for ups and we aren’t allowed to use phones or record in the cab. Why do all Amazon drivers park on the wrong side of the road that shit pisses me off.
Not all drivers do that, but I believe ups and FedEx have less stops then us we are timed and don’t have time to waste.
I go out with over 200 stops and pick ups
I like it super real
Tomorrow is my 4th day any tips ,i had 3 days training 3rd was driving test now is orientation, any pri tips ??
Hi I start my next nursery route as a Driver tomorrow I have a questions that I forgot on day 1.
So if your delivering to a buisness ik you have to call 2 times I think and message 1 time but if they don't answer what do you press in the app again😢?
so u take lunch right away before you start delivering? respect! but hoow is it deliveringbafter your lunch with out taking lunch durig you rshhhhift and not takung any breaks??? sprrry im drunkkkk
Where did u get those pants ? Link. They look comfortable
They provide them to you when you work for them :)
I have had my driver's license since around 1994 and in 2018 my wallet got stolen along with my DL and i got a new one a month or so again in 2024. Will that be a problem for me to get a driving job with Amazon.
They usually don't check drivers license, but they might ask for it when getting hired.
My nursery route was 180 stops messed up lol all apartments
What kind of pants are you wearing? Did Amazon give you them as well for the uniform?
Yeah they provide uniforms for us
Cool video! I have my interview on Monday. How long for you to start working after interview? Thanks.
I’d say a week after your training. Training is about 3 days
Thank you. Hopefully you make a video about tips for working there. ✌️
"Un pinche cumbion bien loco, in pinche cumbion bien loco"....aeeeyyyyyy lol
I use to be a heavy equipment delivery driver and I had my restroom spots just like every other driver I'm sure.
Why do ao many drivers jog to or from the house? Are they really THAT strict on timing?
Depends on what time you want to be off. If you take your time or slow down you get off late..
Finished day 2 of training.
Hi, can you please update me with some information
Did you got the job ??
And how much they pay per hour ?
@AylaMohamed999 same....the one I signed up is 17 to 20 hour
Why do some DSPs start out at $17.75 per hour, while others nearby start out at $18.75 per hour? I work at a DSP on the outskirts of Dallas at $17.75 per hour, while a DSP in Dallas starts at $18.75 per hour.
All depends on the size of the warehouse and how much product flows through it. The one I’m at starts about the $22 and hour mark, but I have to drive an hour to get there, then there is one only half hour away from me and they start out at about 18-19 per hour.
Every company is different, it all depends on your manager.
@@lizethmedina1215 Actually, I think I'm catching on to how Amazon pays their drivers. I think rural (country) routes get paid less than urban (city) routes.
Beautiful and a hard worker
does the van have backup/reverse cameras? also do you have to have to follow the routes exactly or can you go a longer way? like instead of making a left turn on a 2 way street you go down the road to the street light.
Yes, all of 2021 have reverse cameras and you can go how ever you want but remember the route is made in almost mose efficient way so going different way, probably won't help you.
@@fabienzacaFor the most part all vans have a back up camera. If you’re new and you’re barely starting I recommend you to go how it’s routed. You will eventually get the hang of it, and you can do what’s convenient for you..
We only get 10 minutes to load, we have to go inside the warehouse to get our own carts and then load. I can’t stand our Yard Marshals all they do is scream, scream and scream. Like let me see you load 4 carts and 50 overflow in 10 minutes 😩 😩 😩
So they don’t make you take lunch? Also, your allowed to drive vans without cameras? Over here in Sacramento California, they make us take lunch, breaks, and drive vans with cameras all the time.
Technically you have to take your 30 minute lunch, but I take mine while heading to my first stop. I rather finish earlier. And yes all vans have cameras except the rental vans it all depends on the vans we get.
@@lizethmedina1215lol don’t get in an accident on lunch 😅
You ain't lying within a four hour period our work phone will go automatically to lunch break
liz.....you make working for AZ so much fun! compared to Chris :)
How you doing with the winter 🥶 I slipped and fell twice today and yesterday my van got stuck in the snow

Same here sister. I just started delivering also for dsd5
Is that Vista? I just started at dsd1
How long have you been on the job for?
I want to say 4 months
Is the camera like a dash cam? Or is it also watching you drive inside the van?
It records both outside and inside only if you get a violation, like speeding , hard stops, following distance, and distraction.
Hey sis thanks for your lovely vlog i realy liked it, i wanna apply this position seems like no boss and coworkers for the entire shift seems like fun i am an introvert who like working a lone can you tell us if this job worth working thnnks

Amazon worst decision ever. there out there all day long and get no more then 20hr 😂 and so many rules and restrictions.

Lol you must be special-needs. UPS drivers are working 12 to 14 hour days on 6 straight days. Amazon drivers have it so easy delivering envelopes and boxes of cat litter
@@tonyjr3373 UPS drivers get paid for that also.. more than Amazon drivers. So you do what you get paid for.. very simple. Our DSP offers 6 days a week also for Amazon.. And u CANT drive more than 12 hrs in a day in California.. ITS THE LAW like many other states.. 🙄 Only a fool would be proud of working harder.. and not easier for someone else
@@LifesLessons100 DOT drivers can drive up to 14 hrs in a single day. I was just stating Amazon drivers have it incredibly easy. UPS is very by the book and super strict. You don’t even have to wear a uniform with Amazon, you have a vest you’re good. UPS drivers HAVE to stop, lock, and turn off their truck for EVERY stop. FedEx and Amazon be idling all day rolling over stop signs
What time do you clock in ? I clock in @9:30 then get to my first stop @11 . Can’t even take my 30 minute break bc my company is strict about finishing 1st . Should I switch to another company?
bruh what, I'm about to start working soon and if they try to pull that stunt on me, I'm quitting. No job is worth skipping a 30min break.
If you're in a state that cares about labor laws you can report them for pressuring you skip breaks. In CA that wouldn't fly.

Your driving with undue care and attention with one hand on the wheel, dancing, drinking and using your cell phone. It takes a slit second for a hazard to be on the road, faster than what the brain can process under normal circumstance. Your mind is focused elsewhere, you would not stand a chance during an emergency stop.

So they organize the packages already for before you get there all you do is load them onto your van?
The majority of the time the bags are in order but sometimes they move them around, so you have to double check just in case, but yes you just load them up in the van.
Do you get days off or do they make you work everyday? I know it’s a dumb question but I get drug tested tomorrow for my DSP.
Of course they give you days off you normally get 3 days off and just work 4 days.

What’s the secret to getting hired at Amazon as a delivery driver? Was it hard? Any big requirements you need?
I applied through indeed. There’s no secret, they’re always hiring especially right now during the holidays. They’re giving out a lot of benefits and bonuses!!!
@@lizethmedina1215 what do the numbers mean on all the bags? That’s what I’m confused about
@@lizethmedina1215 cuatos años tienes q tener para empezar ??
@@claraherbert7589 if you mean the colored stickers. They're the driver aid numbers.
Basically when you get to a stop, the app will tell you the package is a envelope ( or a box or a bag etc.) And the aid number is something like 241
So it'll look like 📦 241 in the app. Then you just look for the package with the sticker that has that number and that's your package.
Edit: @15:40 that green sticker is what has the driver aid number and you can see that it's 11. So in the app it'd say something like:
Envelope ✉️ 011.
Makes it easier to organize
All the other numbers on the actual label don't really matter. It's just the name of the warehouse the package came from, the customers address, and a TBA number which is just another way to make sure you have the right package
