I’m totally on board with the chunky sandal. Before the pandemic hit, I purchased a pair of white Tevas. I thought, “What an ugly shoe.” But I didn’t want to pack hiking shoes & sandals in my carryon. So these were the compromise. They have become my favorite sandal! The ugly is part of their charm. They are like dainty Dad sneakers. They have incredible tread and go with everything (dresses, shorts, pants). I wish I had known earlier. What a wretched life I lived before my chunky sandals came along. 😂
I used injinji socks to protect my toes while hiking the Appalachian trail a few years ago. They're expensive because they're durable and save the tootsies from blisters! I've definitely had similar experiences purchasing secondhand shoes too. I have felt your pain.
I actually just bought a lil pointelle set from blush lingerie that's almost exactly like the coucou ones! a cami, shorts, bra and panties all matching and so dainty and cute (AND 100% cotton). I can't wait for it to arrive so I can live out my best soft feminine fairy coquette fantasy
Pretty late to the party, but you have to be careful with buying vintage/second hand hiking shoes etc. in general, because especially when they haven't been worn for a while the plasticizer diffuses from the soles and they fall off or crumble. Therefore you should wear your hiking shoes on a regular basis (which slows down the process a bit and makes them last longer) and be careful with buying second hand ones. Usually you can already see and feel the cracks on the sole before the, fall apart, because the material becomes brittle without plasticizer.
I have the peachy den Lillie bag (second hand vinted find woo) and it ticks all of my boxes for a picnic blanket-esque/checked crossbody bag! would recommend :) xx
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend cou cou, I've bought a couple of pieces and found the quality to not really be it. I would recommend thrifting pointelle pieces or making a purchase from pretties venice (which the owner has pointed out has been completely knocked off by cou cou).
@@meerazhao I have the dress in black and personally adore it and wear it so much cause it is so breezy and comfy! - But I also have the cami top and that just ain't it -the fabric is really light and with the dress it seems totally fine cause there is more fabric and thus weight but the cami suffers from it as it is just a flimsy a top that just never wants to stay in place.

The pin strip trousers are all i need!!!! They give a casual to formal vibe which i loveeeee. I honesty was gonna buy them from h&m and i added them to my wishlist but unfortunely until i contemplated over other things those pants went out of stockkk :( Although i did end up buying corduroy pants cause they are my second fav but i really wanted them soo badly and now that you have mentioned them i miss themm :'(

I got the striped ones and I wear them every day and just adore them. One thing to consider if you are hiking, if it is sandy/dusty, your socks will get dirty (the back is not enclosed). I mean I don't mind that and recommend them so much!!
Ah I really must must get some they are the sweetest lil things :’) socks being dirty is the leeeeeaast of my worries up in the mountains ahahahhaha , I’m going to have to get them
