An interesting preparation of peas. I'll try it out. If I prepare peas, then something simpler. I steam the peas in some broth. Then I season with salt, pepper and a good knob of butter. Freshly ground fennel seeds are added as a special taste kick. This goes perfectly with the basic taste of peas. 👍👍
I have been making a version of this for many years…….sautéed shallots or onion, garlic, green onion, salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, vegetable or chicken broth, fresh dill and for me something I love, finely sliced fennel. I love the combination of fennel & peas. I’ll try with lettuce next time. I also sprinkle well done crispy bacon on it. I love peas!
Спасибо, отлично приготовлено и не сложно! а главное Вкусно! Берегите себя! 👍👍Thank you, well prepared and not difficult! and most importantly delicious! Take care of yourself!👍👍
The little French woman that I am is monitoring your French recipes! LOL!!! Stunning !! Taste ! And not bland, tasteless peas. The slower the cooking, the softer the peas! I valid !! I love peas. Thumbs up !! LyDia ♫♪♫
@@recipe30 Yes yes, I was born in France, I live in France. The name of my channel is Greek because I often go to a small island in Greece (not very well known) and I made a lot of friends there. This Greek name allows me to sing incognito on TH-cam! 😉
I’m definitely adding this to my baby peas repertoire. My go to dish is this: peel a cucumber, slice lengthwise, scoop out the seeds, cut into 1/4-1/2” slices, sauté in butter. When soft, I add one box or bag of baby le sueur peas, and fresh dill.
You are very creative. You cook perfectly. Your video editing is perfect. Your recipes inspire. We are loyal fans of your TH-cam channel. Thank you and greetings from Poland.👌
Merci.
I don’t now why I missed this recipe. Of course this is go one, not today bc today is herbs chicken☺️ Yes he deserves super thanks. I have to create the safe way to that .
Looks really nice&i wouldn't have thought to cook Lettice( i've cooked some slightly wilted Lettice & added it to soup before!) Buf this was different! And i've always enjoyed Peas( along with some Carrots,Corn,Greenbeans and Esparagus)
You mean frozen peas? If you buy good ones, they are snapped frozen on the farm and can be better than fresh ones sitting around in supermarket for days.
@2:22 More butter, it's French! That might explain why I eat so much butter, even by the spoonfuls. LOL My grocery store's lettuce around here never looks that fresh. And we have at least 4 different named grocery chains around us. It looks good. I would totally top that off with some shaved parmesan reggiano. Not a lot, just a touch.
8 minutes? That much stock? All you need is 2 minutes after the frozen peas go in. Tons of french butter always makes everything better. There's no mystery to french cooking. Just add tons of butter. This video makes it seem mysterious, but its really very straightforward
Try French peas with onion, some chopped dill, a carrot and a potato in small cubes and tomato sauce, salt and pepper... it tastes perfect with a piece/or slice of feta cheese aside!

I swear you are using a filter for your dog...she's looking younger every video. ;). And I wonder what cabbage would taste like as a sub for the lettuce.

@@recipe30 Will do..The food u cook is very appetizing and I'm right in thinking u use particular French Butter? But keep up the good work&stays well!
Good idea, some baked potato, and ready the dish in a short time. Thank you so much. The bone is so big.
Growing up my favorite peas were Leseurre (?) canned baby peas. Mix them up with butter and mashed potatoes. Yum.
Thank you.
