A fun show I loved growing up. But watching this clip here and now...it struck a different chord. Thirteen years ago...March 31st 2008... my father a vet...died after fighting lung cancer for 18 months. This scene brought back memories of his service. Police escorts....they drive ahead so no lights to stop us. All cars pulled over with their lights out and some got out and lowered their faces. I recalled a pedestrian dropped his face and covered his hat with his heart. When we got to the veterans cemetery... the two officers drove ahead so they could dismount their motorcycles and saluted as we passed. The part that broke me the most was when they handed me his flag. M6 mother and wife each used their handkerchiefs to wipe my face as the tears flowed as the gravity hit me. It's an intense time. Great show and can hit you in different ways as time passes.
