2021 Yamaha Raptor 700 vs. 2006 & 2020. Update: 2021 is a California Green Sticker

Line up is 2006, 2020 and 2021 Raptor 700. All these Raptors are fuel injected. Never had any issues with the 2006 which i have had since new. Best bike all around i have ridden and thats why i keep buying them. I have ridden just about every different type of adult quad out there. In California 2006 is green sticker but on the 2020 i received a red sticker because 8th digit is a 3. Well 2021 comes with emissions and 8th digit is not a 3 or a C so hope it will be a green sticker.

Thats awesome you have a collection of Raptor 700Rs .They look very low hr as well. My '21 Raptor 700R-SE is also low hr (4hrs) an low mods. I only do case saver /alba gas cap/iridium spak plug & moflo airbox cover. #Yamaha

And where do u feel the power the most in the new one? Low end? Mid?

2006 is a green sticker and during covid the prices increased to a higher value than pre-covid which makes the choice of buying used or new harder. They are all stock and power difference in my opinion is more on the mid-range toward top-end on the 2020 and 2021. The ride is about the same on all three. I usually buy new after searching for a reasonable OTD price and finance options unless I can find a clean used one at a reasonable price. With used one just have to hope they are not selling to get rid of a problem bike.

They tune computer to be CARB compliant and add canister. Canister does not mess with power, and tuning computer gets rid of stock tune for better performance.

How are the engines so clean?? What do you use

I usually wash them after every ride. When I service them I use engine degreaser on the engine area, skid plate and linkages. But I only leave it on for about 30 seconds before I rinse it off. I do not use a pressure washer which can cause damage to components or graphics.

Gray models is the basic 2021 model. In southern California they sell for msrp plus dealer markup. The OTD price ranges from high 10k to 13k

@@cromexadventures8867 yah thats why im saying modern day motors ATVS in general all need back up kick start or rope start if your like me in such a remote spot like Alaska an your Electric start quit working say your battery is dead/dying battery or your starter soleniod is going out or the starter motor your fucked esp if you have to walk back 10 15 20 miles to your village or warm home
