Thanks for watching :) Here’s the link to the shirts: emberdrops.co/products/dont-give-up-skeleton-tee I worked super hard on these and the quality is amazing! They fit a little longer too which I personally prefer and they don’t shrink in the wash from my experience so far. I’m only keeping them up until Halloween, enjoy!
Did u forget the hands, stone throws, and misforgotten great axe users, beast, and warriors, and especially the farum azula godam wombo combo geal misfit beastman. And the crucible knight have predictable attacks and easy to get used over time but u not alot openings, I almost forgot about the worst in the series revenants that gives everyone ptsd
Revenants are the most horrific and annoying opponent in any FromSoft game for me, kinda disappointing to not even get a mention tbh. I’d take on an army of crucible knights before facing another one of those bastards.
the ones at the bottom of the haligtree brace are so infuriating. Not only do they have a teleport they can do on react to your heals, they have a one hit kill combo, insane speed and aggression, constantly run in and out of combat, a lot of health, and cant really be cheesed there because they only spawn in when you hit the ground. Yes you can one hit them with an aoe heal I know but not every build can do that and killing them with an instakill cheese doesnt make them acceptable it just means you can skip them if you want.
Definitely agree! Crucible knights are actually really well-designed and pretty fun to fight imo (especially the spear ones), my biggest problems with them is that you can't stun them at all. But revenants really fucking suck, they're way more mobile than they should be since they only show up in places you can't summon torrent, they do a million attacks at once, they can teleport behind you, and they can poison you. The worst thing about them is that they rarely show up alone; if you find one revenant then there's likely going to be another one right around the corner too
I'm surprised the Winter Lanterns from Bloodborne didn't even get an honorable mention. Their song still gives me chills down the spine every time I hear it.
Im surprised there was no mention of the winter lantern from bloodborne, they build up frenzy just looking at you and have a punishing grab that always made me just run away
I got to the point where I could deal with the winter lanterns easily, but at the cost of a few blood vials. Any enemy that is a guaranteed resource drain is not great in my opinion.
Very enjoyable video, though I have to disagree on the Crucible Knights : yes, you can't stagger them and they often punish you for healing, but their design is awesome, their moveset is pretty consistent and predictable, and once you get the timing right to dodge their attacks, they are amongst the most enjoyable ennemies in the game. ALSO : No Runebears ? No Revenants ? Those were by far the most frustrating ennemies for me. Tell me in the comments if you agree guys !
@@EmberPlays That's fair, I guess everybody has their own experience with the game, and that's what makes this game so awesome. Keep up the good work, I really enjoy your videos !
Rune bears are passive most of the time so it doesn't really bother me when I have to fight them. That and we don't get ganked by them. But the revenants!!!!! 💀💀💀
Crucible Knights can be staggered with certain attacks. Off the top of my head, I know that Lion's Claw and Taker's Flames will make them flinch every time you hit them. Of course, I didn't know that when I was new at the game, but they were still fun to fight and learn their moves. Nowadays, on a fresh NG, I always run straight to Castle Morne and grab the Claymore, since Lion's Claw is my favorite AoW and it has that move by default. So I end up always having that on hand right from the beginning of the game to help me deal with any Crucible Knights I come across.
I love the crucible knights, they're super fun to fight in my opinion. for me the most annoying elden ring enemy are the royal revenants and it's not even close
The crucible knight was a nice, safe option for a mini boss, it looks cool, has a cool move set, and every time you beat it you can get a spell or armor. The revenants are just bad.
I feel like they're the best for parry practice in a Fromsoft fashion, they have large, obvious attacks whilst throwing in a couple of "wind up" attacks to keep you focused on less obvious parry opportunities.
I hate to be that guy but the Crucible Knights are very good design promoting skill. You can't bullshit your way with chained poise-breaks or status effects, but you can parry them and doing so feels great. There's plenty of bad enemies in Elden Ring, Crucible Knights aren't one of them
In a game with Runebears and... worst of all *REVENANTS* you chose the actual cool knight with a fair move-set. I do respect your opinion, these games have the rare ability to be hard for people in areas that are easy for others, and Vice Versa. But yeah... *Revenants*
@@thanasiselkas1021 platinumed the game and did a holy paladin on my last run. They were much easier on that playthrough with that heal weakness, but still one of the most unfair enemies in the whole series.
Crucible knights aren't even the most difficult knights in ER imo. Dual wielding Banished knights from Castle sol are pure cancer and thank god there are so few of them in the game
Revenants and runebears are the worst. At least you can kill a revenant before it goes crazy at times. But man those bears.. consecrated snowfield bears..
The Crucible Knights with parries are some of the most enjoyable fights in the game imo. The relentless aggression and massive health they have is pretty much irrelevant because of how easy they are to parry, which always makes fighting them feel like a power trip.
Yeah, Crucible knights with parry are a lot of fun and not actually *that* hard. Crucible knight without parry? Now that is pain. Especially if it's the duo. (Though at least one of them doesn't have a shield)
Birds in Elden Ring are by far the most annoying type of enemy. Worst Boss (Death Rite), worst normal enemies. The ones in Stormveil and Farum Azula are top tier fuckery.
@@mingQWERTY I have never had the dragonflies bother me to the extent any other enemy has. The worst I can say about them is that they lock me in combat while they refuse to come down or stay still.
The birds in elden ring weren't much of a problem for me since I used a medium shield melee build. All I had to do was wait for their attack, which would get blocked, and melee them while they're staggered. Although, I know a lot of people like to play without shields so I can understand how they can be annoying lol
The most annoying enemy in dark souls 2 for me was the explosion guys in the Dragon Aerie. They literally do zero damage and just break all your armor and rings. I spent like 50k souls reparing all my items during my time there 😾
I agree with most of the enemies you have chosen but dear god, the Winter Lanturns in Bloodborne are a pain in the ass. Every time I hear their voice I am just running for my live and hope 😂
That Drakekeeper is my nemesis. It took me forever to realize he can’t go down the stairs, and you can (and should) cheese him with ranged. I genuinely think he’s bugged and never got fixed. The is no pause if the AI spams his combo, and you will not get a window to attack if the RNG is bad.
The mini drakekeeper NPC that appears in front of Drangleic Castle on NG+ is probably the most horrible NPC in the series. That bastard ruined a least 3 of my No death runs
@@marcgw496 it's just skill. . . . (An skill called Tears of Denial saving my ass + "LIGHTNING" + incredible luck and a lot of practice + having covid and thinking I was done hahaha) I was obsessed with getting that ring on my main character but I had to do it over ng+7. I repeated the main path using bonfire ascetics until I was able to do it without dying. When I was ready and started the run, it was extremely stressful. I almost throw up my heart doing the jump in the pit to reach the gutter. Remember the mini drake keeper in Drangleic? The bastard actually killed me, but tears of denial kept me alive both in game and in real life lol. I even went to fight the throne watcher and defender right after getting the king's ring because they were the last real threat in the game, but when they finally fell, it was just a matter of not doing something stupid for the rest of the run. And I actually finish it. The ending was like happy souls with Nashandra getting lightning to her face. I even put happy souls music for the rest of the day.
I’m going to disagree with your last one. Crucible knights are a lot of fun to me. They’re hard at first, but they become an easy enemy once you learn their patterns. They’re one of the few enemies in the game with a reasonable moveset that I mastered. Parrying them is a lot of fun. To get a heal off. Start running back and when he does the forward stab dodge back if necessary. Then you can get a heal. The enemy is hard and they try to bait out your heals. I think challenging is a better term for them than annoying. Again, parrying them is fun/ learning their moveset, which wasn’t too hard for me. Awesome video as always. Just a difference in opinion. I hate those birds too. I agreed with the other choices too.
@@arvid67 I agree, I love that boss. Funny enough I posted a video recently parrying that guy. Not trying to commercial spam but just a coincidence. Anyway, I really like the crucible knights. They used to kick my butt and were so hard. Now, I’ve mastered them to the point that it’s easy. They went from hard and fun. To crushing so bad it’s fun.
For me it’s the black knife assassins in ordina… nope nope nope. Invisible without sentry torch. Quick, agile, big health, short and long range attacks and that grab.
@@BungalistMassive oh I forgot about those guys. I hate them as well. My best strategy was to keep running and never look back. Luckily the couldn’t climb the ladders.
honestly i would pick the judicators from ds3 dlc as the most annoying. Even tho theres only 2 of them that are a real threat the archers will probably oneshot you . And even if you get close they can still slap you for unreasonable damage and summon knights to fight up close
Technically there’s 4 total (beginning, streets, show humanity ladder, and spear of the church) but yeah absolutely a force of nature with way too much hp
Crucible Knight is such an odd choice. They're probably the first enemy in the game that I felt I knew their moveset 100% and after that they were a joy to fight. 2nd phase even has easier telegraphs for easier heals.
The Mind Flayers almost made me give up forever - so annoying until I leveled my winged spear. Honorable mention to the revenants in Elden Ring and those singing brains from Bloodborne that cause frenzy!
9:28 lmfao. That made me laugh Also, personally my least favorite elden ring enemy are those fanged imps. They hit hard, and move way too fast. I just hate fighting them. They get easy after a bit, especially with a holy build, but there’s usually up to 3 running and jumping at you impossible to dodge.
theyre one of the few enemies where i put on mandatory shield. in all other situations theyre annoying af but theyre the easiest to just block+R2 and 1 shot.
Would love to have you mention the input reading Elden Ring introduced, that's the most frustrating thing about the crusible knight, he knows you're healing therefore he has a move to punish healing
Demon’s Souls - *those* skeletons Dark Souls - Zombie dragon legs (or whatever those fuckin things are meant to be) Dark Souls 2 - reindeer in frigid outskirts Dark Souls 3 - Jailer Elden Ring - misbegotten
you forgot the haligtree knight, literally the most op common enemy in FromSoft games they have great bow, long sword, shield, magic, lightning and can even heal themselves the worst are 2 knights next to putrid avatar
I would like to add the little dwarf assassins for Sekiro and the hands for Elden Ring. They pretty much check every box you listed for annoying enemies: they come in numbers, spam attacks with unpredictable animations that can stunlock you and have a surprising amount of health.
Crucible knights taught me never to heal while an enemy/boss is in neutral. I'm 80% sure they input read, and run you down the second you pick the flask.
How the Revenant in Elden Ring didn’t get (at LEAST) an honorable mention, I will never understand. If you aren’t a faith build they are a nightmare, especially in Elphael
ds2 also had those ice soldiers in the dlc, specifically the shield and spear dudes that you can't back stab. They always come in large groups to either spam missiles, poise through your attacks, or more
Crucible knights become pretty trivial when you get the counter down, and the eagles are easily dispatched by a guard counter. The invisible assassins are the worst. Grab you out of nowhere and force you to offhand a torch just to be able to see them.
for bloodborne lots of people mentioned winter lanterns but i think the worst is those massive shark guys in the fishing hamlet. fighting two of them for the Rakuyo is brutal.
I think the basilisks are a really good contender for ds1, since if you get cursed you lose half your health on every respawn until you cure it, and the cures are very hard to come by. On top of that in older versions curses could stack, meaning you could be left with 1/16 of your max health if you got cursed enough
For Elden ring imo it’s between the Giant Blood crows (area before Mohg) and the Giant Lobsters. The Caelid crows were manageable at best but damn I got my assed kicked beyond belief in the later game off them
The Lobsters really suffer from being up in its face which is why it's always trying to get away from you. If you can dodge its claws and stay on them, you really can't lose. Trying to get into a shoot out with it is where they can mess you up. With the Mogh crows, jumping attacks are its worst enemy especially when its crawling around. And don't fall for that critical hit fakeout.
3:20 No, they don't spawn infinitely and you can even kill them so often they won't ever come back in that run etc. I did and tried it myself after reading about it since it was just too annoying for me dealing with them over and over before Lud & Zallen x-x
Crucible Knights are hard but i don't think that they are that annoying. I think that the birds are worse than them. The dogs and rats are also more annoying if they manage to gang up on you. But the enemies that i do avoid as much as i can are the Rune Bears.
I don’t hate crucible knights, but fighting them isn’t really engaging, it’s just wait for them to attack so you can hit them once or twice and repeat for 2 minutes or just repeatedly parry them over and over and that gets mundane. If you asked me on my first playthrough what the worst enemy was I would’ve undoubtedly said revenants, BUT now, I actually kinda like revenants, I’ve gotten so much better at fighting them and I can appreciate them way more now. Imo the worst enemy in ER is the invisible black knife assassin, who ever thought an invisible enemy that just repeatedly spams grabs over and over again was fun should be suspended without pay, it’s one of the few enemies in soulsborne that I would actually classify as truly bullshit
Personally surprised you didn't mention Ulcerated Tree Spirits, considering they LOVE to jump and flop around their arenas, making it hard to keep track of them, which especially sucks when in the early game their grab attack is a guaranteed one-shot, also there are so goddamn many of them
@@BBQcheese i would agree but only for the ones you fight in the open world. There is nothing fun about fighting something when you cant see half the shit its doing. Whoever came up with the idae of putting tree spirits in tiny ass rooms needs to be fired
@@BBQcheese for me its not really the camera but the fact that whenever they are bosses in catacombs (starting hero grave, the catacombs in radahns arena and the giants hero grave) For me they start going partially into the walls and shit and you are forced to be so close that its gets difficult to see what attacks its doing. The only attack i can always see coming is the grab but only because it screams before doing it.
Hammer drakekeeper in ds2 is straight cheap, unlimited stamina, no delay, hits like a truck, almost zero opening for you to attack unless you use thrust weapons like rapier otherwise he'll immediately doing his combo again.. For that i presented to him 4 poison arrows to his face and watched him slowly die, i don't care it's being dishonorable duel, since he isn't even fair to begin with lol..
I'm shocked the Alonne Knights in DS2 didn't even get a mention, holy smokes the speed on those guys was ridiculous. Coupled up with the terrible boss runs (smelter demon, Sir Alonne) they were just an insanely annoying enemy, definitely my worst
I would have to disagree with you on the elden ring worse enemy, I'd say the worst of them all is those long lanky bustards that rise from the black and gold rings that scream like a horse, so many of their attacks are just a constant barage of hits, there seems to be no recovery times, no good times to get attacks and even when you try to run from them, they can literally teleport behind you without noticing and kill you from that. And if that wasn't enough, when you get to the later ones in the game, they all start throwing poison at you, which does a stupid amount of damage if it hits you first, and then the lingering damage is also insane. Basically I've never had an enemy I've been more afraid of to fight in that game
One more enemy I can think of in DS2 is the Alonne knights from Iron keep, the fact that they can spot you from 2 miles away and they come running at you in groups with pretty fast attacks that cause bleed, plus you have to fight all of them every time you die to smelter demon make this area the most frustrating and annoying.
Crucible knights are really fun once I learned the parry timing. The birds really only get better when you have enough damage to burst them in a few hits, for some reason you can’t riposte them when they fall on the floor.
I don’t know why you didn’t mention the torch hollows since they pretty much have the same issue as the demon souls enemy that just flails at you and you fucking disintegrate
I love crucible knights. Cool moveset. A good number of them drop gear or magic, and offer a challenge. Anything that you can't backstab, charged heavy/jump attack and repeat is appreciated.
I know everything there is to know about Crucible knight and have fully mastered his entire move set because of his gael in the early game, I didn’t even level up at that point and just stuck to it til I beat him as a lvl 10 samurai
It's probably because I've recently been exploring the sub-terranean shunning grounds, but by far the most annoying enemies in elden ring are the omens, they have way to much health and have annoying ass magic attacks, plus they can climb ladders, how great
Some other honorable mentions for the games i played: Dark souls: the giant skeleton dogs were the first most annoying enemy that came into mind, the ''running'' attack with their jaw can most of the time one shot you. Another one in dark souls is the demon with the lightning spear and the small wings, they are somewhat easy to kill but they are super annoying when they start dodging and flying. Dark souls 2: About the reindeers in the worst zone ever made, the trick is too have a big bonk weapon and R2 them, they always stagger and you can just smash them to death. The most annoying is the invader that runs away... not an enemy but good damn it sucks. Maldron the name? Otherwise the one i hate the most is the pretty rare one called undead aberration, for the love of me i cant read that enemy attacks. Honorable mention to the pyromancer in earthen peek, simply because they can be super dangerous while being somewhat very squishy. Dark souls 3: So many tbh. I always had mixed feeling about ds3 for many reasons, this is one of them. Everything mentionned in the video and i would add corvian enemy in ashes of ariandel dlc... If you dont stagger them first they can be very very very annoying. The hand monstrosity, though being in one very spot their grab attacks just deals too much damage. The 2 hand sword cathedral knight, with the proper build they are not that bad but they dont tend to leave enough opening for punishing, you end up trading blows with them mostly. Sekiro: Spot on. I feel like they were meant to be air deathblow but it is not even easy to pull off... Elden ring: People mentionned it, the revenant and the birds. Something about the enemies that keeps getting away is very annoying. Like the dragons sometimes too, they are pretty easy to punish but it is frustating when they get in a loop of flying around. Great video! Keep it up!
Crucible knights are some of my favorites in all Of the souls/borne series. No joke, they have incredible move sets, each set is very predictable once studied, the timing to the parry is huge, and if you remember the black knights in DS1, it should feel like a modern twist to on old favorite. They are stylish and just absolutely fun every time I find one!
You can actually stagger the crucible knights in Elden Ring. I've done it before to the evergaol one in Stormhill. I think I just got lucky though because it requires an extreme amount of aggression that 99% of the time, they simply won't allow you to have.
The sharks in bloodborne are my nemesis, for me, getting rakuyo for the platinum was almost as bad as the entirety of the chalice grinding and is several hours of my life I will never get back
Still complaining about my outros being too short LOL I wasn’t expecting the vid to just end there that was a nice touch. But by far I hate the jumping gruus from DS3 the most, I kept dying to the ones in the smoldering lake and was furious to the point I broke a monitor so I definitely hold them as my least favorite enemy to see ever
I only had trouble with the sword crucible knights, I felt like the ones with the spears had an easier attack pattern to avoid, plus they didn’t have a shield so you could do better damage
Kind of odd how the Shark Men from the Bloodborne Fishing Hamlet and the Royal Revenant from Elden Ring didn't even make it on the list, both are contender for most absurd enemy in the entire series.
So many annoying elden ring enemies. The sniper lobsters, the revenants, the birds, The archers that defend the rooftops to get to the halig tree, the invisible assassins in that same area and the underground aimbot ghost archers.
Been watching alot of your videos and I can see why your channel is growing so fast. You always have great footage good audio quality and read scripts very naturally, not only that but you have a good mix of genuine takes and humor, good work man
Winter lanterns, demon dogs and bell maidens with their infinite spider spawns that home in on you from miles away are by far the most annoying enemies in bloodborne.
If you're having trouble with Snatchers, they're really not too bad if you fight them the right way. Their damage is very bad but they have one response to most situations. When they spawn near other enemies, their default aggro "approach" behavior is so slow you can kite other enemies or the snatcher and deal with them independently. Likewise, these attacks have a really long wind-up, if you stand back and bait out a punch or a kick, it's an easy parry. Once you've done so, get back again, if you're far enough away they'll do their rage, which they do with taking damage, then immediately, with almost no startup, do a jumping punch attack to close distance and clobber you. If you know that it's coming, because the timing is always the same, you can parry them again, and then usually they're either dead or close enough to it that they can't get back up and live to swing again. If not, you can back up and they'll usually jump punch again, just rinse and repeat. Even if you don't know the timing yet, their jump punch is fast enough that if you gun spam while they edge walk into jump range you'll usually catch them even if you get tapped.
For Bloodborne (my specialty) I strongly disagree. The bodysnatchers aren’t horrible, as they have low poise and their transformation lets you get in massive damage, potentially killing them. The worst enemy would probably be the Winter Lanterns, with obscene health and major frenzy aura, or the Brainsuckers, because what you forget is that they permanently drain your Insight, which is only infinite if you’re willing to grind Chalice Dungeons
It's amazing that after 7 years, people still haven't learned how to get through Frozen Outskirts as easily as possible. You should never be fighting more than one. It's a tough enemy, sure. It's not any tougher than any other tough enemy in every single one of these games. All you have to do is run as far as you can to each safe spot before the blizzard comes, kill the reindeer, and keep moving. You should never be fighting long enough to spawn another one.
Hey I like the jokes you fit in the videos! I didn't think you did that in your previous ones, or maybe I just forgotten about them. Anyway keep up the great works!
Crucible knights are one of my favorite enemies to fight ever, they're so telegraphed, well designed and it feels so satisfying to learn their pattern, becomes like a dance. The birds defenitely takes the cake for me, not explenation's needed.
Some other contenders: (Didn't play demon's souls yet) DS 1: The little dudes in Blighttown shooting toxic blow darts at you DS 2: DLC giants with massive maces and lava that periodically falls from their shoulders, who also don't stagger. Ever; the exploding hollows where some can even petrify Bloodborne: Winter Lantern; the summons in and before the fight with the witches of hemwick; the giants that throw instant-kill boulders at you, where even the debris still counts as a hit; in the dungeons, those ultra-fast and aggressive scythe wielding women who will sprint at you at breakneck velocity DS 3: Dogs Sekiro: The enemies with the twin blades before you fight the 4 monkeys; this one specific dude in the fountainhead palace that has a personal issue with you swimming; also the nobles that enfeeble Elden Ring: the 50-armed screaming abomination that thinks spam attacks are mandatory; albinauric archers in the consecrated snowfields; giants who can use unendurable frenzy in an inappropriately large area around them (also consecrated snowfields); pests; those ballista operators in Miquella's Haligtree; lobsters; the small stone gargoyles in the dungeons; wormface
I feel like the royal revenants are the hardest ones in elden ring simply because melee builds struggle ALOT against them and not many people know that they'll die with heal incantations.
After playing Elden Ring for over 500+ hours I can say from my experience that the kindred of rot annoyed me the most, not just because of pest threads but because of the annoyance of the delayed thrust attacks they do with their weapons. Also I actually like Crucible Knights you can shield block parry them and that is really satisfying.
Fun fact: Bonewheel skeletons are in DS2. A couple spawn after the last Skeleton Lord in said boss fight has been killed. They aren't that dangerous since they take forever to fully assemble, which means you can easily kill them before they can attack. I don't know if they are as dangerous as 1's or neutered like 3's since I never had them hit me because of what I said.
Yea, the reindeers from the Frozen Outskirts are a mess, so it’s best to just cheese them with a great club. Using R2 charged, you’ll pancake them every hit and combined with the capable NPC summons in the Scholar Edition, they make this area a lot less of a chore to get through. Still wise to take your time though, so as you don’t spawn too many to handle at a time.
I disagree with the crucible knights, I thought it was a fun and engaging fight every time I fought them. Revenants on the other hand, not so much. The only actual good way I have found to kill revenants is to use a healing over time spell next to them and chip down their health while dodging them. Straight up almost impossible to fight one head on
The Winter Lantern is way worse than the Snatcher. I have come close to dying right after killing a Winter Lantern. Because it's not even their physical attacks that beat you. They cause frenzy just by being near you. I've gotten used to taking out the Snatchers but, I still dread fighting the Winter Lanterns every time I play Bloodborne.
As everyone already mentioned... Winter Lanterns. They don't actually cause frenzy by looking at you. Rather, the moment they notice you, they've essentially already caused frenzy. I can kill the ones in Nightmare Frontier in 2 hits, but even with 0 Insight, that's still long enough that the frenzy procs.
Kinda unrelated to the main topic, but man I LOVE how easily FROM games can humble you as soon as you start getting sloppy, especially when facing common mobs. And I say FROM because even though I've played other soulslike that may kick the main games' ass in some gameplay department (Nioh's insane combat depth), none of them in my experience have come even close to that "when the fuck did you learn that move??" or "of course you pull that out when I'm out of stamina!" hilarious A.I. moments in FROM's series.
To be fair the crucible knight is actually a teaching tool for the game. It teaches you that not every enemy can be staggered or traded with and you will at some points you will have to dodge unrelenting attacks without healing. It’s a test of endurance as a prelude to tougher enemies you fight later in the game.
My personal list - (annoying doesn't necessarily mean hard/difficult) Demon's souls: Mindflayers Dark souls: Mosquitoes or Oolacile Residents Dark souls 2: Archdrake Pilgrims Dark souls 3: Ghru Leaper and DOGS. Bloodborne: Winter Lanterns and Snatchers Elden Ring: Iron Virgins, Albinauric Archers (the ones on the rooftops in the evergoal), Hawks/Eagles/Bats
In my opinion, the most annoying enemies in elden ring are the bell bearing hunters, those with the weapon that neons red and starts to swing midair. They're tank because they're bosses, they make tons of damage, they have insane range and are hard to stunlock. If they get you in the middle of a weapon swing art you might as well be dead. they also feel very overpowered for the areas they are in.
Thanks for watching :) Here’s the link to the shirts: emberdrops.co/products/dont-give-up-skeleton-tee

I got to the point where I could deal with the winter lanterns easily, but at the cost of a few blood vials. Any enemy that is a guaranteed resource drain is not great in my opinion.
@@vantablack794 SoulsBorne Series Dogs*
The solution for Winter Lanterns is to parry their grab and i-frame through the Frenzy proc
Runebears I considered, I honestly didn’t remember having too much trouble w the revenants so I didn’t even consider them tbh
@@EmberPlays That's fair, I guess everybody has their own experience with the game, and that's what makes this game so awesome. Keep up the good work, I really enjoy your videos !
@@jean-baptisteboucher6465 very true :) thank you!!! Glad you enjoyed!
Those revenants at the bottom of haligtree are the hardest enemies in the game.
Royal revenants and those huge hands in mountaintops of the giants
Exactly
The crucible knight was a nice, safe option for a mini boss, it looks cool, has a cool move set, and every time you beat it you can get a spell or armor. The revenants are just bad.
I feel like they're the best for parry practice in a Fromsoft fashion, they have large, obvious attacks whilst throwing in a couple of "wind up" attacks to keep you focused on less obvious parry opportunities.
I hate to be that guy but the Crucible Knights are very good design promoting skill.
You can't bullshit your way with chained poise-breaks or status effects, but you can parry them and doing so feels great.
There's plenty of bad enemies in Elden Ring, Crucible Knights aren't one of them
The crucible knights are annoying as hell though if you don't wanna parry.
In a game with Runebears and... worst of all *REVENANTS* you chose the actual cool knight with a fair move-set. I do respect your opinion, these games have the rare ability to be hard for people in areas that are easy for others, and Vice Versa. But yeah... *Revenants*
You can one shot him with any heal incantation. Oh you are melee yeah... I feel you
@@thanasiselkas1021 platinumed the game and did a holy paladin on my last run. They were much easier on that playthrough with that heal weakness, but still one of the most unfair enemies in the whole series.
Crucible knights aren't even the most difficult knights in ER imo. Dual wielding Banished knights from Castle sol are pure cancer and thank god there are so few of them in the game
I just wanted to roleplay as the thicc thighed Brazilian samurai I didn’t want a crusectomy
Dont you love when you have to run past ten birds while also getting bombarded with rng lightning? weird...
This is objectively correct
Edit: This include the dragonflies. Basically any flying mobs
The birds are absolute dog shite especially if you don't have any ranged attacks
I spent like 50k souls reparing all my items during my time there 😾
Just remove all your rings and armor in that area.
@@Shashank7170 That's what I did after repairing all my stuff 3 times xD
Not as bad as Hollow Pyromancer in Shrine of Amana for me, at least those explosion guys can be spotted by their glowing chest or chain sound...
They run and they explode!
@@warcoder yeah. That npc is the one enemy that I’m always dreaded to fight against in NG+
@@warcoder it’s honestly impressive that you’re able to get that far without dying considering the amount of BS dark souls 2 throws at you

(An skill called Tears of Denial saving my ass + "LIGHTNING" + incredible luck and a lot of practice + having covid and thinking I was done hahaha)
I was obsessed with getting that ring on my main character but I had to do it over ng+7.
I agree I love the crucible Knights, the one in the evergaol early in the game is one of my favourite bosses. Theyre always fun to go against
@@arvid67 I agree, I love that boss.
Now that I think about it. I hate the birds, those dual sword spirits in castle Sol, and I hate revenants so much. I can never get a hit on them.

I love how the run to Pinwheel is WAYYY harder than the actual fight
honestly i would pick the judicators from ds3 dlc as the most annoying. Even tho theres only 2 of them that are a real threat the archers will probably oneshot you . And even if you get close they can still slap you for unreasonable damage and summon knights to fight up close
What's crazy to me is that they respawn
For me it's Millwood Knight because they don't know what stamina is..
Second is that corvian knight with unlimited knives throwing..
i view them more as an obstacle than an enemy and i find them alright, would rather they be in than the dogs or corvian knights
Protip for the Revenants. Cast a heal spell near them.
That Riley Reid comparison was WILD 💀
You cannot unsee this now but DS3 Thralls are the base of the Elden Ring Stone imps
Similarly as tree avatars are basically asylum demons and omenkillers capra demons
I couldn't unsee it at launch tbh
9:28 lmfao. That made me laugh
Also, personally my least favorite elden ring enemy are those fanged imps. They hit hard, and move way too fast. I just hate fighting them. They get easy after a bit, especially with a holy build, but there’s usually up to 3 running and jumping at you impossible to dodge.
Honorable mentions:
Those Lobsters
Revenants
Marionette Soldiers
& Runebears
theyre one of the few enemies where i put on mandatory shield. in all other situations theyre annoying af but theyre the easiest to just block+R2 and 1 shot.
Dont forget about the bleed build up that gives them the ability to kill you in 2 hits in early game with light or no armor.
Would love to have you mention the input reading Elden Ring introduced, that's the most frustrating thing about the crusible knight, he knows you're healing therefore he has a move to punish healing
Demon’s Souls - *those* skeletons
Dark Souls - Zombie dragon legs (or whatever those fuckin things are meant to be)
Dark Souls 2 - reindeer in frigid outskirts
Dark Souls 3 - Jailer
Elden Ring - misbegotten
you forgot the haligtree knight, literally the most op common enemy in FromSoft games
they have great bow, long sword, shield, magic, lightning and can even heal themselves
the worst are 2 knights next to putrid avatar
God those three with the damn balistas are harder than malenia
I would like to add the little dwarf assassins for Sekiro and the hands for Elden Ring. They pretty much check every box you listed for annoying enemies: they come in numbers, spam attacks with unpredictable animations that can stunlock you and have a surprising amount of health.
Crucible knights taught me never to heal while an enemy/boss is in neutral. I'm 80% sure they input read, and run you down the second you pick the flask.
The ones with the greatswords absolutely. The tree-wielding ones are easier to heal against it seems.
The garbing Cthulhu guys from Bloodborne; that is the pain I will never forget.
for bloodborne lots of people mentioned winter lanterns but i think the worst is those massive shark guys in the fishing hamlet. fighting two of them for the Rakuyo is brutal.
The giant runebears and revenants for sure. But let's also not forget. Those teleporting knights in castle sol
Crucible knight is my favorite enemy in the game... Theres an awesome rhythm to the fight if you dont suck. Revenant and rune bear are the worst lol
3:20
No, they don't spawn infinitely and you can even kill them so often they won't ever come back in that run etc.
For Bloodborne, I think winter lanterns and the giant fishing hamlet sharks are way worse
Can vouch. I spent a shameful amount of time dying to those sharks and running back past the lanterns
Watching this video with my little cousin...He just asked me who Riley Reid was...goddammit
My bad 😂😂
@@EmberPlays He would have learned anyway :P
The dogs are 100% more annoying than the crucible knight
Not only that, but there so many of those damn things.
Revenants are fucking scary ngl
9:10 wait, are you saying you don’t roll whenever they go for an attack (even if you know it won’t hit you)
One more enemy I can think of in DS2 is the Alonne knights from Iron keep, the fact that they can spot you from 2 miles away and they come running at you in groups with pretty fast attacks that cause bleed, plus you have to fight all of them every time you die to smelter demon make this area the most frustrating and annoying.
But at least they can be staggered and have low hp, even tho can be overwhelmed if 3 of them come at you in same time lol..
i vote the glitched scarlet rot dogs as the most annoying. Getting 4k damage stacked on an attack thats as fast as a dagger is lame.
Only the real ones know that the real most annoying enemies are the dogs
I love crucible knights. Cool moveset. A good number of them drop gear or magic, and offer a challenge. Anything that you can't backstab, charged heavy/jump attack and repeat is appreciated.
I know everything there is to know about Crucible knight and have fully mastered his entire move set because of his gael in the early game, I didn’t even level up at that point and just stuck to it til I beat him as a lvl 10 samurai
Demon’s Souls: Dogs
Dark Souls: Dogs
Dark Souls 2: Dogs
Darks Souls 3: Dogs
Bloodborne: Dogs
Sekiro: Dogs
Elden Ring: Dogs
Every time I encountered a new Revenant I started sweating.
Hope you do best enemies in every souls game next video
It's probably because I've recently been exploring the sub-terranean shunning grounds, but by far the most annoying enemies in elden ring are the omens, they have way to much health and have annoying ass magic attacks, plus they can climb ladders, how great
Some other honorable mentions for the games i played:
Dark souls: the giant skeleton dogs were the first most annoying enemy that came into mind, the ''running'' attack with their jaw can most of the time one shot you.
Keep it up!
Crucible knights are some of my favorites in all
Of the souls/borne series.
I’m just now getting into DS1 in 2022!
Can’t wait to play the rest of the games
You always have great footage good audio quality and read scripts very naturally, not only that but you have a good mix of genuine takes and humor, good work man
Aye thanks I really appreciate that 😭⚔️
@@EmberPlays np man it's true
Winter lanterns, demon dogs and bell maidens with their infinite spider spawns that home in on you from miles away are by far the most annoying enemies in bloodborne.
Those blood dogs are a nightmare. 2-3 hits and you're running to get your runes back.
For me in DS1 is toxic darts throwing cloaked guys.
I agree
I love the Snatchers, they are just Bloodbornes version of Santa.
Some other contenders:
(Didn't play demon's souls yet)
DS 1: The little dudes in Blighttown shooting toxic blow darts at you
DS 2: DLC giants with massive maces and lava that periodically falls from their shoulders, who also don't stagger. Ever; the exploding hollows where some can even petrify
Bloodborne: Winter Lantern; the summons in and before the fight with the witches of hemwick; the giants that throw instant-kill boulders at you, where even the debris still counts as a hit; in the dungeons, those ultra-fast and aggressive scythe wielding women who will sprint at you at breakneck velocity
DS 3: Dogs
Sekiro: The enemies with the twin blades before you fight the 4 monkeys; this one specific dude in the fountainhead palace that has a personal issue with you swimming; also the nobles that enfeeble
Elden Ring: the 50-armed screaming abomination that thinks spam attacks are mandatory; albinauric archers in the consecrated snowfields; giants who can use unendurable frenzy in an inappropriately large area around them (also consecrated snowfields); pests; those ballista operators in Miquella's Haligtree; lobsters; the small stone gargoyles in the dungeons; wormface
I feel like the royal revenants are the hardest ones in elden ring simply because melee builds struggle ALOT against them and not many people know that they'll die with heal incantations.
Honorable Mention for Elden Ring: Those Big Ice People in the Ruins on Mountain of Giants
I'm surprised the toxic blow dart hollows in Blighttown didn't even get an honorable mention
You got the outro just right this time. Its perfect
Hahahaha thanks man
Everyone's all "Revenant revenant revenant" but nobody's talking about the fcking HANDS
I would of just put dogs for all souls games
Demon's Souls: Mind Flayers (Tower of Latria)
Dark Souls: Giant Cats (Deeproot Garden)
Dark Souls 2: Frozen Reindeer (Frigid Outskirts)
Bloodborne: Winter Lanterns (Nightmare of Mensis)
Dark Souls 3: Monstrosity of Sin (Profaned Capital)
Sekiro: Headless (Various Locations)
Elden Ring: Revenants (Various Locations)
The little Plague babies in demon souls for me. They trapped me in that filth so many times
To be fair the crucible knight is actually a teaching tool for the game. It teaches you that not every enemy can be staggered or traded with and you will at some points you will have to dodge unrelenting attacks without healing. It’s a test of endurance as a prelude to tougher enemies you fight later in the game.
My personal list - (annoying doesn't necessarily mean hard/difficult)
Demon's souls: Mindflayers
Dark souls: Mosquitoes or Oolacile Residents
Dark souls 2: Archdrake Pilgrims
Dark souls 3: Ghru Leaper and DOGS.
Bloodborne: Winter Lanterns and Snatchers
Elden Ring: Iron Virgins, Albinauric Archers (the ones on the rooftops in the evergoal), Hawks/Eagles/Bats
Crucible knights are awesome but not being able to stagger them is the worst pain because at low levels its hard to challenge them
