I just changed my major from English Education to Special Education. I'm very excited, but I'm very scared of having to manage students and a classroom by myself. I deal with mental health stuff (depression, anxiety). How would this affect a new teacher? How did you learn to manage a classroom and students?

Hello! I totally understand your concerns. One of the most important things is to have a classroom management system in place from day one. I use a classroom store and created a TH-cam video all about this that you can watch. For me, managing paras was one of the hardest parts of being a sped teacher. I also have a TH-cam video on that if you are interested.

Hi, is your salary enough to live in usa?

Great question! So this is different for everyone. When I taught in Iowa I made 50k which was enough for myself and my husband. When I taught in Missouri my salary was only 30k (3 years ago). The cost of living was cheaper and at the time we only had one kid so we did have enough to live on. However, now I don't think that is enough to live on; especially if you have a family. It really depends on the area, but teachers 100% deserve SO much more.
