    Before watching this video I definitely did most of the mistakes you’ve shown. I was terrible at the teaching interviews and didn’t get any offers. After practicing with this video all night yesterday…I actually got a job interview! I used the questions you gave in the end for closing and they were impressed!!!!!!! Thank you so much! You don’t how much this means to me! I really needed to start my career as a single mom and recent graduate. Thank you!

    Love, love your approach with the live "not what to do", could you please record your live responses to your 7 questions on "WHAT YOU SHOULD DO.." The text answers are helpful but think you speaking the answers , as if you were in the interview, would be even more insightful!
    Thanks!☺☺ Great video.

    • @NoodleNook
      @NoodleNook  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey @Ebbie! I had thought about filming responses, but it differs so much between grade levels, delivery model, and content taught. It would be hard to make a response that would work universally. I will have to mull over that one and see what I can put together!

    Hardest ones for me were Tell me about yourself and How do you handle conflict on the team

    • @NoodleNook
      @NoodleNook  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @MS.E3 - And as an interviewer, the 'tell me something about yourself' questions is so much of your first impression... if you don't have some talking points ready (and fumble through that section), you will be digging yourself out of hole then entire rest of the interview. Best of luck on yours!

    I think the conflict one might be the hardest 🤔 I love your voice and clear structure in this video! I didn’t have much interview experience (only about 2 or 3 times) and always secretly had this deep fear that all my words will stuck in my throat during the interview or I couldn’t find the right words/sentences to make a point. Most of my friends said that I am the talkative kind of person, but somehow I stammered in interviews 😞

    • @NoodleNook
      @NoodleNook  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Yuchen - Interviews are so hard and super stressful! They are totally nightmare worthy IF you are not prepared. If you have some good talking points in your head and feel like you're prepared, you'll do great.
      Technology questions are starting to be right up there too, so prep for that as well. Best of Luck🍀!

    Question 5 “How do you resolve conflict within your teaching team.” Managing relationships with well intentions among your peers can be equally as difficult as managing a relationship with a challenging student.

    • @NoodleNook
      @NoodleNook  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    What program should i take to become the SPED teacher? Is simple education alright?

    • @NoodleNook
      @NoodleNook  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey @Ridda Butt - no matter what, you'll need a bachelor's degree. With the critical shortages in education, you can master in nearly anything and then complete an alternative certification program after graduation. Otherwise, yes, as you do your education coursework, look for classes that support teaching in special ed or make that your targeted focus.
      Either way, we're glad you'll be joining the ranks!

      Hey @Marus Chu - I would never disclose personal information about any health conditions in an interview UNLESS you think it will have a major impact on your ability to perform the job.
      I have known tons of teachers with ADHD who are perfectly capable of doing their jobs... so, unless asked directly (which would be weird), I wouldn't.
      -Good Luck 👍🏽

    • @NoodleNook

      I don't think so. Sometimes the interview team knows what they want and gets a feeling about an applicant right away. I hope you get the right job for you @sumaya arif 👍🏽

      @@NoodleNook Thank you thank you! I got the job as a special education co- teacher for the 22-23 school year! My first interview was 3 weeks ago, then they called back a week later to schedule a second interview which got me so excited...then they wanted me to send them my college transcripts (because I applied at a different state), and they called me the next day and said there is an open position for me...YAY! Thank you for your help. I took notes from your videos as well as others but your videos helped me the most. Thank you!

      @MMI GK - I wish I could... but the answers will be different depending on if you are applying for an ECSE, elementary, middle or high school job and if you are self-contained, push in, or pull out AND the severity of the students you'll be working with. Sorry.
      I hope the video at least gets you thinking about what may be asked and how you can answer. Best of Luck 🍀!
