This helped me with my para interview. Immediately got hired. Also add confidentiality questions in the interview. Especially for new people. There is confidentiality in Sped so no telling anyone about what a child is dealing with. I had to say I got stumped on that one

Are they going to ask you , what subject you convinient to help the student w/ the disability ? Because I’m trying to apply to be a teachers aid sped , but I am comfortable with the pre school . What I’m gonna do , not really good in a computer or math but I have the experience w/ the day care and nursing home . Kindly pls….help me and answer my questions . Ty and have a blessed day !
I’m currently a university student majoring in Human Development and Family Science and for one of my classes I need to interview someone in the field where would I like to work need to come up with at least 20 questions any help on what type of questions I could definitely ask

You have a bit more of an advantage than most teachers for a elementary position especially. You're young, bonus, and you are attractive, bonus. Older and or unattractive male or female teachers are at a disadvantage (male teachers in general in elementary, better suited for MS or HS). I have worked with two female older teachers, one in her late 50s and one in her late 60s, both very good, very mentally quick and high energy, but the schools tried to get rid of them due to their age, I am assuming, nothing else really that I noticed. If they had been young mainly and especially with bonus of attractive, I feel admin would have left them alone, even praised them, raised them up position.
How do you become a paraprofessional? I have 48+ credit hours between two colleges (dropped out for a year then returned) and currently full time student for elementary education and would love to get a head start of working in a school.
LexiJesse Marie What a wonderful background!! All you have to do is choose the district you’d like to apply to, access their hiring portal, and check out their paraprofessional positions! If you click on the position, it usually shows you the requirements! If 48+ hours of college credit is the requirement, all you have to do is show proof with your transcript. GOOD LUCK❤️
I have had about 7 interviews so far for paraprofessional positions but for some reason nobody wants to hire me. I don’t understand.

Hey, this is a awesome video! Can I become a SPED paraprofessional even with no college experience? Alot of the job descriptions in my area do not say I need college. I'm 21 and beginning classes in March for an associates degree in Human Services. I'm looking for a job to get me experience with children with disabilities and felt like becoming a SPED para would be the best option for me but it sounds like I may not be qualified.
Thank you! Depending on what district you apply to, you can be hired without college experience! For my district, they require either 48 hours of college credit OR a passing score on their paraprofessional exam! Therefore, if you take and pass the exam, you are hired! GOOD LUCK!! It is a very rewarding and information job!

I need help 🥲, so I know you said that you received several offers from different schools. And well my question is, how did you tell them that you had other interviews lined up? 😭
At the end of the interview the interview personnel usually informed me that they will get back to me in “x” amount of days or that they would like to proceed with hiring me. At this point, I would notify them that I have upcoming interviews and would like to honor my commitment to those interviews before making a decision! Thanks for asking!

Baby Joe I am SO glad you asked!! Men in the education field are some of the best and most powerful educators!! A pair of dress pants/slacks and dress shoes would be most appropriate. I would recommend a button-up shirt with a collar and a tie! These should be of neutral color as well! GOOD LUCK

What is IP
An IEP is an individualized education program and it’s a legal document that states students present levels, goals, services, accommodations, etc.
It is an extremely important document in the SPED field!

Loved the content, but as a professional, I see a lot of young women neglecting their nails. Nails like yours are glamorous but are not professional because they would be considered distracting. They are too long and too squared. Always ask yourself when you look at women who want to be taken seriously, just like the hair and makeup are recommended to be subtle so are the nails. Be careful with the length, the shape and choice of nail color. Also, if you can avoid it don't wear big, long fake lashes.
