My favorite Muse song is Map of the Problematique, and the way you reacted to it was awesome! Lol i feel that way whenever i listen to it! Seems like you're checking Origin of Symmetry next, i can't wait to see your reaction with Micro Cuts haha
Heard it on the radio in LA amongst supermassive black hole and starlight and it never ever released its clutches on me. As I grew up and could appreciate their earlier more complex stuff, this still remained at the top. So Happy to find someone who thinks the same. Banger for the ages. Play it at my funeral🤘🏼
Not going to lie - I feel Exo-politics is one of the most underrated of all Muse songs. But then i do like industrial music. I also love classical music and the early introduction of that 'waiting patiently' motif and how its built on through the song is just glorious to me.
I feel the same. The sheer power behind the "fully loaded satellites, will nothing conquer nothing but our minds" is so stunning. this album is pretty much a perfect 10 for me, theres literally not a single bad track
@@cavemanjack Yeah I think to be fair Most fans land on Origins of Symmetry, Absolution or Black Holes and Revelations Origins = Diversity of Sound and so much power and emotion. Absolution = I think would be where they sort of nailed down the "Core Muse sound" Black Holes = Production Quality and Building and experimenting from the previous Two albums
*old muse fans* consider it the best. It's far from their best. It's very messy, and the only real songs that are revolutionary are on the last half of the album cause most of the first half is repetitive. Absolution is objectively better in terms of creativity and artistry. BH&R to me is their best but I can argue why Absolution would be better. OOS just isn't the best.
i mean take a bow is my favourite song by muse ever, so ur reaction was perfect, it’s cinematic, dark, incredibly complex and the vocals are incredible
I love how joyful your reacts are! Always makes me smile to see people dancing to my fave band. Would love it if you shared even more of your thoughts on the music too. Also, the Phantom of the Opera shout out made me laugh. You should listen to Origin of Symmetry next. The last song features an actual organ. (Fun side note: because it's about losing faith, Matt had to lie to the priest and give him some bullshit lyrics before he got permission to use it.)
You don’t how much I envy you to be experience this first time. I went to a concert in Philly one time and proceed to follow this guys for the next two weeks catching 7 shows,,,? What a time,,,absolutely stunning live band
I loooove your reactions! This is exactly how I still feel listening to them after all these years. Their sound is so elevating and overflowing with the full range of raw emotions. I still get choked up and cry at certain parts of their songs. They are just incredible, and I'm so happy you are joining us all on the hype train, haha. Can't wait for more album reacts!
@@cavemanjack if you haven't already, try checking out Knights of Cydonia Live at the Rome Olympic Colosseum. I like it even more than the original because of the wicked intro they add!
I know everyone’s saying it but you’ve gotta listen to origin of symmetry. It’s one of the greatest albums imo, and new born is one of the best songs ever.
Loved seeing your reaction! It's awesome how their songs get people off their seat and moving. If you're looking for more muse satisfaction try Origin of Symmetry (this album was remastered, but I still recommend the original), or Absolution! Their debut album, Showbiz is also great, but lacks a bit of the muse identity as we know it today (synths and other stuff). People often compare it to radiohead, but if that's your vibe, feel free to check it out. I'll be here for any muse reaction/ review you cover!
Their 2nd album Origin of Symmetry is widely regarded as there best album. There is the original version and a 20 year anniversary Remix version which has some real nice changes to some of the songs but would go with the original first. I regards to rediscovering muse and their work. I would point out that can get experimental and like to dive in an out of style and influences of other music. You might want to give assassin another go but look out for the "grand omega bosses edit" They have a great live shows and worth watching some of them. I think you would love watching knights of Cydonia live @ Rome. A lot of fan don't like their newer stuff but as muse are alway evolving there music I think it is just jarring at first for some but doesn't mean it's not great music. Simulation Theory for example. Which not received that well by fans at first but made one hell of a tour IMO
Thanks for the comment! im very keen to check out origin of symmetry soon! I will for sure keep giving assassin a go, ill take your word for it! I definelty need to check out that live video from Rome
Your reaction for the whole thing made me smile loads haha, especially cause Muse is my favourite band. Makes me remember just how amazing and passionate their earlier albums were. Hope you enjoy reacting to their other projects! p.s. I think Hoodoo is an absolute masterpiece :D
Also I love that you can hear Matt taking in huge amounts of air and you can also hear their fingers rubbing on the strings of both bass and guitar,,,, most bands filter that out
What an album and Map of the Problematique Wow 💙 Went to see them this year at Wembley Stadium on this tour 👌 This and Killers, Sam's Town were my go to albums of 2006 👌
You should check out Origin of Symmetry next! With MUSE each album has its own vibe so it's kind of up to preference, but OOS is considered one of their best, if not their best album. While Black Holes and Revelations has more of a prog rock, heavy synth, somewhat western inspired sound with heavy political themes, OOS is more alternative with a space rock sound, still heavily electronic but more dreamy. Would love to see you react to it and hear your thoughts. Some tracks in that album are WILD, such as Micro Cuts, which is probably in my top 3 favorite MUSE songs of all time. Super experimental.
@@cavemanjack Do you think you might still do it? Your pure joy while listening to Muse is infectious so I keep rewatching the two videos you've done on them hehe
Love this reaction 😂😂this is how I feel every time I listen to Muse😅 For me Origin of Symmetry and Absolution are even better than BHAR, love to see you react to them🙏
Love watching this one! Definatly some hits in the first half for me. An album ill recommend is 'applause of a distant crowd' by VOLA. Firstly because thats an epic album title... haha but jks aside, its heavy rock, almost metal at times, but a little atmospheric and synthy. Very enjoyable listen and would be another broaden of the sounds on the channel so far.
If you’re a fan of some British rock and looking for something a little more underground I would recommend a band called False Heads. If all that grungy alt rock was brought into the modern day that’s what it would sound like. Their new album Sick Moon just released and I thoroughly recommend
Exo-Politics is my favorite track on the album, but it definitely didn't start that way. I think it definitely takes a few listen-troughs to really have it grow on you!
this might be a weird thing to add but this album makes me feel so camp, im not a flamboyant gay by any margin but this album basically turns me into a camp super villain and i love it so much!
Its rare that you get an original album that feels like a greatest hits compilation but Black Holes and Revelations pulls it off effortlessly
haha legit!!
My favorite Muse song is Map of the Problematique, and the way you reacted to it was awesome! Lol i feel that way whenever i listen to it! Seems like you're checking Origin of Symmetry next, i can't wait to see your reaction with Micro Cuts haha
Such an amazing song, really glad you checked out the reaction and enjoyed it! Super keen for origin of symmetry
their both glastonbury live versions are amazing, especially the 2010 one
I think I went to see them at Wembley just for Map of the Problematique 😂
Heard it on the radio in LA amongst supermassive black hole and starlight and it never ever released its clutches on me. As I grew up and could appreciate their earlier more complex stuff, this still remained at the top. So Happy to find someone who thinks the same. Banger for the ages. Play it at my funeral🤘🏼
Absolutely , Map of the Problematique is just SO F'ING PERFECT... That drum breakdown.. his gorgeous voice... harmonies... just epic.
The second half of this album is so amazing for me. City of delusion is in my top 3 muse songs ever
Every since I have read your comment I haven’t been able to stop humming city of delusions
So gives me a feeling it will continue to grow on me !
Such a crazy underrated song.
Absolutely agree, I still constantly go back to it!
The entire album.. flawless... ❣️❣️❣️
The fact that Matt Ballamy can give such an operatic lead vocal and synonymously be the lead guitar will always and forever blow my fkn mind

That second to last “hold you in my arms” in Starlight never fails to give me goosebumps. I cried when I witnessed it live.
Yeah , they're all so perfect , the hits and the underrated ones. Starlight is arguably THE most romantic song ever created.
Most muse fans consider origin of symmetry to be there best album so I would recommend that next
