Hahaha, lol. This show is nowhere near one of the best shows of all time, it literally has two terrible endings. How can a show with a terrible ending be considered one of the best? The acting is not consistent, Michael C. Hall is obviously the best performance, by far, but there are others that aren't great, the dialogue is not great a lot of times, especially in later seasons, the storylines are super repetitive and lazy written, hell, the whole character of Deb is getting a new boyfriend each season to turn out bad. Then, after the first two seasons, the show, for some reason, gives pointless and boring storylines to the supporting characters, etc. This show is nowhere near the best in any aspect, nor acting, writing, cinematography, etc. The first two seasons are the best ones. Better Call Saul, Breaking Bad, Mr. Robot, Dark, True Detective S1, Succession, The Leftovers, Sopranos, Lost, The Bear, The Wire, Hannibal, Sherlock, Fleabag, Atlanta, Barry, Mad Men, Arcane, Boardwalk Empire, Severance, and many, many more shows are leagues better than Dexter, you'll never see Dexter in the most awarded or nominated shows of all time, you'll never see Dexter in any article or critics top 15 TV shows of all time, it's literally nowhere near one of the best.
@@reynaldolorenzo8409 the shows you mentioned I would find quite boring or I do like but I wouldn't put them on Dexters level. As for critics, awards shows and all that, why would I care for those ? Not only are they rigged and biased, they're useless when it comes to actual user consumption, best way to know if a show is worth watching is if other normal People whether on real life or TH-cam recommend it.

What I think a lot of people like about this show is that we see someone take out people who truly deserve it. Many people get away with crimes and never caught. Dexter pulls some batman detective skills and does what the dark knight won't do. Also Vince is like one of the funniest characters and he's another reason I kept watching this show
During the series Dexter learns to love and protect, the best is at a certain family dinner with another serial killer and Dexter shows his true self to protect
i started watching dexter some months ago without knowing anything as well, i'm in season 6 now and it's so so so good, i can't believe i never heard even a word about this series before but i'm so thankful for that honestly,, i hope you love it as much as i do !!
I absolutely love Dexter. So glad it is getting a revival and is being enjoyed by a new demographic. I have met most of the main cast of the original series and they are all very kind people. Very deserving cast for all the love it is getting. Excited for the prequel that is airing this December and the New Blood follow-up that begins shooting in January.
It'll surprise you how fast you get used to gory stuff. My cousins used to drive the ambulance a couple of years ago and one time they were called to a motorcycle accident. They found his severed head inside the helmet but that didn't prevent them from buying kebab on their way back.
