For those with an older boat (without a surf gate), an aftermarket surf gate wake shaper like a NautiCurl will allow you to turn your wakeboat into a surf machine. Allows you to evenly distribute ballast and easily switch from regular to goofy foot. Some great tips in this video about dialing in the ballast and creating a clean wake by shifting ballast (front/back and left/right). Cheers from NautiCurl!
Yep, our starboard side wake is noticeably better, too. I've heard that's due to prop spin and not much you can do about it. Bad thing is out of our crew we have 1 person who surfs goofy footed, so he gets all the benefit of a better wake.
you need to have a driver and an observer aka a spotter watching you. if you fall and hit your head with the surf board this person can swim and save you.. if you fall and there's a different boat coming your way this observer will flag down the oncoming boat with an orange flag.. its super easy to become sushi if you don't follow boating safety laws..
What happens to the cottage owners shoreline with these waves? I will tell you from my own experience it destroys it. ....I am all about new technology and growth in watersports, but this should only be done in larger bodies of water, and in the middle of the god damn lake. Should be mentioning that in these videos, as these are 180K boats nobody is going to want to hear that they cannot use them in bays and smaller lakes. Really dig into the sales #s for Malibu/Pavati ETC
Tim Clark hello i myself have a old malibu (it has not that kind of wakes but they are a little bit smaler) from my experience the waves “brake off” really fast and you almost have normal waves after a few metres. I dont know if thats whit every malibu but i think the waves are fairly do able on small lakes from my experience.
Malibu and most wakeboard boats these days have special exhaust pipes that funnel the fumes underneath the swim platform. The fumes just go right into the water and you'll be okay. However this option isn't on all boats. Usually the higher end boats will have this. Our 2016 Axis T23 just has a standard exhaust and you do smell a little bit of exhaust, but nothing like our older boats where it was really bad. I hope this helps.

Do these have a remote kill if you want to surf alone?
Not advisable. One should not do that.

What could be easier, just buy a $100,000 boat.
lol more like 160k after taxes etc. but go with axis. same shit just cheaper and no touch screen
I've been looking for a WS boat and found that Heyday has a decent one for around 65k with popular options.
*Just go surf the ocean and u ain't have to spend 100k*
*Problem solved*
Highly recommend Moomba boats. Great systems
@@thomaskeefe3869 we got a 05 mobius this summer, added a wake shaper and more ballast. She surfs like a dream!

Are you serious?
