14:26 *Skips over the Mookie Betts 86’* so it would be 8 total 86’ cards adding up to 2 86’ cards in each blaster.

Maybe it's nostalgia, bringing me back to when I was a kid opening packs, but I absolutely love the 86 cards in this set.

I'm a fan of blasters because it's a lot easier on the wallet if I can pick up a blaster here and there for $20 rather than a hobby box for a bunch more all at once. But it all comes down to preference. Some people enjoy the guarantee that a hobby box can offer (even if it's just a relic). I like blasters because if you do get a hit it just feels more exciting and rewarding than normal. Plus you can stock up on rookies at a better clip most of the time and I'm a fan of that.

I've actually opened exactly four blaster boxes so far and found that this video seemed fairly similar to what I got in my packs. For my money, I would take the four blasters over the hobby box. Thanks for sharing and kudos to whoever recommended doing this video

Hey Jabs! I would vote the blasters the winners. More rookies and love the 52 inserts. Though those silver packs are the wild card. If that was a bigger hit then maybe hobby.

I think if you're looking for the quick flip to get your money back on the cards, the hobby is the best value and also the most likely to "reward" you with a big hit with the autograph / relic or in the silver pack. If you're looking more at the cards as a collector and more long-term holds, I would go with the the blasters all the way because of the increased chance to get the base rookies and especially the '52 set.

  • @karlepaul6632

I pulled a Major League Materials Evan White Auto/Jersey card #05/25 in my hobby box. Blasters I got squat. One thing I noticed on the odds list for the blaster box/packs: There's no mention of odds for autos/relics. What's up with that?

The hubby and I generally stay away from retail especially in this day of flippers. It is all about luck at the end of the day, but at least your guaranteed a couple of hits in hobby (even if the odds are shitty). Good luck finding any retail by the way. My LCS was at 120.00 for about a month. The price has since went up considerably.

I read many of the comments, but not many people brought up the fact that some people don't have a choice. I live in Philadelphia, and have been looking for Blasters and Hangers since the 9th. I got lucky, and was able to pick up the last (2) hangers at one location. The rest were sold out. I purchased a Blaster on FB Marketplace, and I did better with the Hangers then the blaster, and got way more cards (134 vs. 99), and got better "hits" (I got a Juan Soto #/299). So while the hobby box may not guarantee better hits and may let you down, chances are you can actually order them.

I like my LCS, but they gouge worse than flippers, retail boxes they buy from flippers then sell for 4x what they pay for them.
