    You just hate the fact that your car lost 20k value so quickly because of Tesla's price change. I would rather hate the inflation due to Covid pandemic. We all lost 20% value of everything we own because of the inflation. Your car is just one of them.

    • @Life_of_IvanPOV
      @Life_of_IvanPOV  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I rather not talk or comment about inflation, covid and what it could be or what it could have been. But 100k vehicle at $20k loss is normal. But $40k lost due to the current price drop isn’t normal.

    Same thing happened to me. I bought mine in May of 23 and 3 months later the price dropped 40 THOUSAND dollars!! I have the same exact set up as you but mine is white. I love it! Minus that price drop LOL . How unfortunate for us!

      That will all determine where you live (market place). If you are super attached to your Model Y or any vehicle as the renter could be bad ones, although many good ones in my experience. I did have a hand full of very bad ones and that’s with over 100 renters. So if you’re in love with your car don’t do it. If you want to make money, leverage an item and your ok dealing with random people your good to go.

    How would you compare the Road noise on Highway between Model Y and Model X? Are Model X a lot quitter?

    • @Life_of_IvanPOV
      @Life_of_IvanPOV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The model Y is much louder dude to a few things. I have a Model Y performance with the very thin tires. So we feel and hear the road noise a lot more. But we had a 3, Y and X, all of them have vibration during highway driving. Overall built issues. Which one is more comfortable driving daily and highway, I would say the X over the Y.

      In majority of vehicles depending which ones they don’t. Now I don’t expect Tesla to be one of those things. But when an automaker continuously discounted 3-4x a year of course the previous buyers weeks before or months before even some days before the price drop we take an even bigger hit versus other auto brands. Knowing and understanding the 10-15% hit driving it off the lot is one thing. This is a 25-40% hit right off a brand new discounted car.

    I picked up my X April 2023 @ 90K, I currently have 18000 miles on it
    Ride is amazing. Supercharger network is great, time will tell how that experience goes with most manufacturers going to tesla and the ports are in the wrong place. Mine has been in service 3 times. Falcon wing doors are amazing for me, its great in Florida rain trying to get passengers in and out with a nice big shelter over them. Tires are holding up well. No wind noise or rattles.
    Would I buy another Tesla absolutely not.
    Yes it sucks they change prices all the time but that’s not the biggest reason, my Explorer has lost 20k since October in deprecation. Its because of the exaggerated range. EPA is 326, from Ft Lauderdale to Bucees in Daytona is 231 miles, I pull in at 10% driving 75. Since I have owned it they have destroyed the driving experience, you have about 10-12 seconds to look at the screen to check for traffic or a different charger before you get nagged then kicked out, I am on the new update where the nag is supposed to be better FSD 12.5. Also it is not cheaper to drive the Tesla on a long road trip then a 4 cylinder Explorer. 1100 miles in the Tesla $112 in the Explorer $97. Home charging yes super cheap 100 miles is $4.12.

    • @Life_of_IvanPOV

      Good morning from FLORIDA! The cabin noise when all the rattles from the corner or floor panels is address or when I first picked it up from delivery is prefect! Over time when the heat melts the glue or something goes loose, you will have vibration noise. Now the other European models they are much better on this as the build quality is much better but they do not have the range miles in comparison to Tesla or lucid. If I had to pick from a X5 which we had a X5 M50 not too long ago, I would still pick the Model X.

      On the same vein here, rotating through a vehicle every 8 months or so almost makes leasing sound like a better option for you. Idk much about it personally but I always hear that leasing is for people who like to switch cars often.

    • @Life_of_IvanPOV
      @Life_of_IvanPOV  ปีที่แล้ว

      The service on BMW if it’s out of warranty the bill is quite high. With a Tesla yes in the beginning usually you will hear all the things you typically don’t hear on a ICE car so you schedule a service. It would be inconvenient for the first 2-8 weeks as you want to make sure you’re buying a vehicle with expectation with its price tag. Tesla you buy a $100k, we would compare it to a BMW M5 or a S63 AMG. It’s tough.
