@@sender5804 I'm one of those people that don't care for the newest and greatest. I just wanted a more spacious car. Only reason why I even got the Y is because of the .99 APR. Ok, so other than the interior spaciousness, two screens in the front, and a screen in the back, noise cancellation and much quieter ride, auto shifting into drive and into reverse, the smoother ride, the adjustable suspension, the captain's seat layout, the falcon wing doors, the longer range, the faster charging, the auto closing doors, and the ventilated seats, there's really no difference compared to the Y. yes, you pretty much are correct. As a MY owner for about a year and new MX owner, the MY is more practical at a lower cost, you don't miss much if those you listed are not important to you. In terms of driving experience, I can't say MX is above MY by a large margin, just refinement in many aspects. I am still very happy with MY. One complaint about MX is the signal light on the steering wheel instead of the stalk. Most of time this is fine, but when the steering is turned and there is no way to find the right button to push! One other thing that I don't like about the MX is the display at the front is not touch screen and can't be duplicated to the large screen, making it difficult to make selections sometimes...
I agree with you. Everything you mentioned is a huge plus for me, and I've enjoyed every bit of it since purchasing mine in January. Not to mention, the acceleration feels smoother and feels faster than my MYP. It’s basically a luxury SUV with the performance of a sports car. Also, given its luxury price tag, I don’t see 10 others like it on the highway, unlike the MY and M3, so I don’t have to blend in with everyone else. I think if people don’t see these as big advantages, they should simply go with the MY or the new M3. Ultimately, it’s all a matter of personal preference
The suspension is significantly better than the refreshed Model 3 and expect it will still be better than the refreshed Model Y unless Tesla puts in air suspension.
For the same configuration 2024 model X ( long range / white interior 6 seater , FSD and 3yrs free super charging I paid $93K on road ( including tax) . Incentive -$1k (Tesla owner), $6500 one feature free deal (as I took FSD), $3k off of $5k supercharging for 3yrs free . Finally to my surprise Vehical got delayed by a week ( in transit ) . They adjusted $2700 off the total price . So a total of $13.2 incentive / reduction . Excellent Vehical . Got delivered 3 days back !! Very happy 🙏

I just pick up a 2024 Tesla Model X Plaid...I am so happy with my purchase. It is much better than my Rivian R1S Quad Motor; better active suspension, better ride quality, better software, better hardware, more powerful, superb acceleration, and yes, those falcon wing doors are the icing on the cake. I love it.

I had a similar experience with an EV6 rental. Very good car on its own merits, but trying to use the CCS network was a challenge I never faced in a Tesla.
My next EV will likely be a Model X. I'm a few years away from that so we will see what upgrades, if any, happen in the next few years. I love my 2024 Mustang Mach E, no complaints about it at all. Great build quality, fit and finish is great, overall amazing car.

Excellent review with spot on comments. My opinion differs a little bit, however. Model Y owner for four years. Fantastic car. Still have it. However, I wanted a new electric car for my birthday number 65. Looked at all of them, including Mercedes, BMW, Rivian, Lucid, Rivian, Ford, Chevy, etc. etc. My kids are all grown, and I do have five grandkids. Even though I am retired, I drive about 40 miles a day for my various activities. So most of my driving is by myself and occasionally with my wife. After multiple test drives, I decided that I wanted a top-of-the-line Kia, EV 9. Fortunately, the local dealer was right around the block and I was able to do an extensive test drive. The over long landscape monitor was kind of fun, but cumbersome to use. Even without the air suspension, the ride was good. Acceleration was certainly adequate, but not in the same league as Tesla. Lots of room in the Kia with a third row bench that can actually fit adults. Heads up display and vehicle to load charging possibilities were enticing. I had some extra time on a Sunday afternoon and decided to schedule one last drive of the Tesla model X. This model has been around essentially for 10 years with some minor changes. I was ready for something different and newer. I scheduled the test, drive online with no human interaction. I arrived at the closed tesla service center, found the demo car in the parking lot. As soon as my appointment time arrived, my phone app had complete access to the car for one hour. So I open the door, sit down, and immediately felt like I was back into the future. The Kia, by comparison, felt old. The legacy underpinnings and old style SUV architecture became very obvious in the Kia. The Tesla model X is a very smooth, big vehicle with top performance, comfort, and technology. Additionally, the supercharger network is currently without parallel. I do travel with my car a fair amount and the supercharger network is critical. This was in April 2024. Price for both vehicles was essentially identical. The advantages of the Tesla model X included better performance, adjustable air suspension, better computer interface, much more useful big screen with much better software, super charger network, better range, and charging speed, and overall a much more modern vehicle. Oh yeah, the sound system is epic. The advantages of the Kia include more people and cargo space, massaging seats, and it is a vehicle that is not a Tesla. So I bought the model X and I’ve had absolutely no regrets.
I really wanted to like the EV 9. Gravity looks promising. Meanwhile I will enjoy my Model X. Just returned from a 1500 mile trip- charging absolutely no problems. Oh yeah, FSD is really working well- spouse does not like it when I drive without it!?!
I definitely disagree with almost everything mention in this video about the Model X. The car is NOT outdated and still turns heads, especially with the Falcon doors go up. I have a 2022 with yoke and I still love it to pieces.
Rumor is there is going to be a bigger Model Y with 3 rows for the refresh along with the regular 2 row. Apparently it’ll be available in China first . Do you think that will replace the Model X?
I currently have a 2024 model y performance. I love it alot but being a bigger dude with bolstered seats isnt ideal. I did some research and i want to upgrade to an X-Plaid but maybe an update my be worth waiting? 🤔
You would appreciate the falcon doors if you have to car seat young kids. Really. And the look and speed(XP) alone leaves the Y in dust. This is as pointless as saying why go for iPhone pro max when there is SE?
Hey Chris, I always love your videos and appreciate the thought and time you put into creating them. I have a big family and have wanted to get the Model X for a long time. I've test-driven it at least four times over the past few years. I recently did another test drive and finally decided to get it because they now have a lower anchor on the 3rd row. This is huge for me since my kids are young, and I can put them in car seats on the 3rd row when we have visitors. However, I do agree with you about the two screens. It feels like Tesla put more effort into one screen UX. You can't press a spot to park for the auto park feature on the X, and can't show tire pressure and trip details like other Teslas can by swiping the audio player, which makes the Model X and Model S feel outdated. Also, since I've been driving my Model 3 Highland for a while, I find the Model 3 actually more comfortable than the Model X. It's crazy! I would reconsider getting the X after watching your video. Thank you, as always!
Went from Model Y to 2024 Model X during first FSD transfer period. While the price is higher it is better than the Y like it should be. Ride, drive, sound system, panormaice windshield, features etc. It feels like Im driving the future. I love the Steam Games option, playing a quick classic arcade style game while waiting to charge or someone to get back to the car. Tesla should release an option to open up the middle screen like the 3/Y and maybe only show the speed in the front screen.
I still think Model X is the best family EV available, hate the look of the traditional boxey Rivian, plus nobody beats Teslas UI and style. Model X looks & feels like a spaceship. Love my 2024 six seater !
I mean...they decided to buy a car during the chip shortage in the pandemic and all cars were overpriced at that time. I waited to buy my used MY 2021 at the beginning of this year for 31K and saved so much.
As a parent of three young children, the model X is the best family car .. I have the six seater and I was driving the model Y five seater before that. For a parent of young children , it seems like X is THE right Tesla. Enjoy yours.
I bought the 2022 Model Y Performance including Full Self-Driving (FSD) and includes a number of advanced driver assistance features new after long waiting for arrival. For me, it's the best looking model of all Tesla. The 2022 is much better than 2023-2024 Model Y & you can find out why after you own it for a while & doing lots of research & listening to the news update from short live news of internal changes. Imagine eating one special order at the restaurant which costs you $100 per plate. The customers love that menu & it becomes a regular order for them. Somehow the restaurant is not doing too well & the owner decided to reduce it to half price. Do you think the half price of $50 will have exact same quality as the $100? Of course the owner would have to reduce some ingredient in order to make up the loss in order to stay in business. Then everything else is depends on the advertisement & marketing. If people fall for it, then that piece of junk becomes popular like a hot cake. Somehow the Model X doesn’t do so well & it’s because coolness cannot replace the practical unlike the Model Y.
got the model x LR with $7500 tax credit applied and I'm very satisfied with the car. Not to mention it accelerates as fast as Model Y performance and it rides like butter. Unlike Model Y and 3, this is how a "luxury car" should feel. Worth every penny and not regret at all. We have a Model Y and a Model X, and will get Cybertruck next year. Will definitely sell the model Y instead of X because once I get used to the ride quality of the X, I just can't go back to the Y
An X would be great to add for our growing family. We have a 3 and love it. For the right price, I would go to CA and drive it back to TX. Great videos. Lee them going and stay awesome
I bought a 1 year old model Y, low mileage for 27K. My only complaint is the totally shitty way that Tesla does software updates; especially when it comes to FSD. The car itself is absolutely great and I'm totally sold on electric cars but there is no way a Model X is worth it at that price.
We are looking at the Model X too. I have a teen in a wheelchair. It’s impossible to put him in a regular car. The falcon doors make it possible for me to lift him without the chance of bumping his head. We have a van for his chair already. However, the can only fits 5. We want to be able to do family trips with my in laws so we need 7 seats.
Please help. How can I open all 4 doors at the same time when standing outside my cat. I have a the Tesla 3 and it's real embarrassing when my guest have to wait outside my car while I open my door first and the press the car button
I replaced my model Y 2024 Tesla with a model X Tesla 2024 in September 2024 and I can tell from experience that the model X is way better than my model Y. I have three young children - even they prefer the X. So much more fun and space in it.
I’m waiting for the 2025s and hoping that some of those features and refinements will be on the 2025+ also I want bidirectional charging, so I’m crossing my fingers on that too
$5500 for some wheels? $2000 for a decent interior color but ruined with Walnut. $10,000 FULL SELF DRIVING CAPABILITY - that shouldn't even be that much.
Thank you for your effort.. in my opinion probably the worst thought piece or review or whatever you want to call it.. asking for all of those gimmicky things and not reliability, physical buttons and things that actually make your life easier. It's like it's nothing from a hardcore driver is just something that a tech note enthusiast would ask. And I appreciate your video and I liked it.. I just didn't find myself in it at all. Thank you anyway.

No mention of the 5K towing capacity - much better than Y. No other EV than a truck or the EV9 top trim offers that.
Huh??? I bought one last week and love it
As a parent of three young children, the model X is the best family car .. I have the six seater and I was driving the model Y five seater before that. For a parent of young children , it seems like X is THE right Tesla. Enjoy yours.
how do you fit your 3 dogs in the cybertruck?
I just had my third and im picking one up in two days :) so excited :)
Where did you place the tape ? To stop the rattles ….
Chris it’s nothing like supporting your country product (Kia)
I bought a 1 year old model Y, low mileage for 27K. My only complaint is the totally shitty way that Tesla does software updates; especially when it comes to FSD. The car itself is absolutely great and I'm totally sold on electric cars but there is no way a Model X is worth it at that price.
Chris which insurance company you use
Love my X even with the FWD issues
Wanted a KIA EV9 fully loaded but as a regular person with debt I couldn’t do an 80k car
Want the X for the air suspension. If they add that on the Y, it would be a game changer
Your videos are so good man lol I immediately subscribe!!
Yes 7 seater model x!
Yes. Thats what we want. Hoping prices might still come down a bit.
Im thinking with the model Y refresh model X might be a steal
I think it makes more sense to lease EV's nowadays since they change so often.
I'm still gonna buy it
Nice!
Don’t. Wait for the new one trust me
Don’t impulse buy
How much you selling your x for?
the EV9 is really nice but the cargo room is not even close to the model X.
Same price, brand new model y or used model x with 18k miles
Brother where did you get grey large dawg bed 🐕 🐕
COSTCO
Awesome video awesome channel
Please help. How can I open all 4 doors at the same time when standing outside my cat. I have a the Tesla 3 and it's real embarrassing when my guest have to wait outside my car while I open my door first and the press the car button
I think you need to turn off Driver side Unlock in the vehicles display. It happened to me
OO that's what you mean. Yes @teslaoutage is right. You have driver door unlock mode enabled under LOCKS.
Model X remains as my only and favorite Tesla that I would love to drive and own 🙌
This guy has too much money. Spending almost 60k to drive a car for a year is wild
Oh man! I want to buy, but not at these % rates!
I got 2023 model Y. Waiting for the new model x, hopefully they release by end of 2025. I’ll wait till end of 2026 if I have to.
I replaced my model Y 2024 Tesla with a model X Tesla 2024 in September 2024 and I can tell from experience that the model X is way better than my model Y. I have three young children - even they prefer the X. So much more fun and space in it.
Tesla has missed a lot of market in not providing its car owners ambient lighting and heads up display, that’s all about the experience⚠️
More range like 400 miles.
model y 7 seater and done. its cheapier then the X and fit all the kids.
Isn't it pretty tight in that 3rd row?
@@lashlarue59 Yes but around 1819 they normally have their own car if it's a family car
I mean... you CAN put a kid in a crate like a dog... but probably not for too long before someone comes knocking...
I’m waiting for the 2025s and hoping that some of those features and refinements will be on the 2025+ also I want bidirectional charging, so I’m crossing my fingers on that too
Thanks for the honest review. We are considering replacing our 3 with an X but probably a used one. Good insights shared.
excaclty why i went with Y over x
waiting for my lucid gravity grand touring
Nice!!! Good car
@@EverydayChris hope you do a review on this next year!
Tesla has only one real killer feature over Rivian or Kia Ev9 - FSD. I use it every day and really like it after 12.5.
Can I buy yours with 60K
Love your honest thoughts and feedback for X
thank you!
Got a MYP in May with 0.99% financing. Still waiting and wishing for a X with .99 financing.
$5500 for some wheels? $2000 for a decent interior color but ruined with Walnut. $10,000 FULL SELF DRIVING CAPABILITY - that shouldn't even be that much.
The back seat of Model X, even with 6 seat configuration, is so tight. Not comfortable at all. I’m sticking with Model Y.
Maybe a good idea to buy this car used then. 😊
Was contemplating about buying a Model X, but wife convinced us to put the money towards principal payment for the house instead.
I have one I totally disagree I love it no complaints
Me watching this after buying a new Model X last month after using your videos as research 😮
hahaha. Don't get me wrong it's still a good car especially if you have a family
Sorry but I wanna buy every single Tesla model there is, gj on the video Chris! 😂
