It's the victim mentality. No matter what the situation, somehow, someway, they are a victim of the circumstances and didn't do anything wrong.
It seems as though they always want you to feel bad for them and reinforce how they got the short end of the stick.

That depends. If someone was always looking for sympathy then yeah, maybe. My life experience has taught me it's not that strained. Too many nuances to make any overly certain statements about the motives of others. But I probably wouldn't want to hang out with someone who complained all the time.

That describes people like my sister to a T. What's worse is, if they do actually fix the problem, they have a replacement problem within a day or two. Such people are like vampires on your energy.

There was a comic strip cartoon, it may have been Dilbert (can't remember) that satirized that sort of behavior. The character didn't want his coworker to offer a solution, he wanted to be mad. Being mad was the desired state.
      It was funny.

I recently gave away an old microwave oven. First person that asked for it had a family of 6 and not much money. After a few excuses how they couldn't afford gas, I drove it over to there area for a hand-off and they pulled a no show. The person that eventually took it showed up with a truck full of other various appliances and was most likely going to sell it for a few dollar. My initial reaction was that it was a shame it wasn't going to that needy family. But, upon reflection, I'm glad it went to somebody that put forth the effort and found a way to make some money.

Some people never learn from the past or prepare for the future. They just seem to know comfort or lack of it. If in the moment they are not hungry they do nothing. Sooner or later when they get hungry there will be nothing for them to eat, no one to do the work they needed to do for themselves and no knowledge on how to fend for themselves.

Jennifer - a beautiful [flower] garden is never pointless; you might be saving the lives of thousands of pollinators, for one thing. Also, you will lift your own spirits as well as those who experience the fruits of your labors. Third, anyone who cannot appreciate your garden may not be healthy to have in your life.

    This is an inspiration
    As are you
I lost my family to a toxic woman
And she took my son from me
One year in ( I’m in NYC)
I bought 5 acres for him
Hoping to break the trauma bond
    He comes and goes
    She gets worse
    He’s trauma bonded
    Now 5 years in
    The 5 acres sit
As I am still in court dealing with a psychopath
    Who won’t quit
But I keep envisioning the land
    Worked
    Loved
    Bountiful
    In my son’s future
    He’ll be 18 soon

🌳 I think your video got recommended to me based upon the word 'Garden' in the title 😁 "Cast not your pearls before swine" is still good advice, all these years later.
Where I live, Eastern Redbud trees are so common, they are essentially weeds .. I could never dig them up and sell them to my neighbors .. but elsewhere in the country, these are highly prized landscaping trees, valuable for feeding early pollinators .. and for the adventurous, a source of a few meal's worth of 'miniature snow peas' plucked from the limbs just as their beautiful pink blooms fade.
There is always going to be someone out there that will value what you have to offer. 🌻🌎🕊

My aunt is a prime example. She is 69 and never does anything wrong. But yet she is banned from one of the local hospitals and only if brought in by ambulance in am emergency situation is she allowed. But she did nothing wrong. She only tried to complain about a G.I. doctor who performed a colonoscopy she believes she heard him telling the nurse how difficult of a patient she is when trying to talk to her when she has office visits. After numerous times going to the hospital demanding that she speak to the administration person in charge of the hospital to lodge a complaint. They are forced to give her trespass warning and banned her. She is the victim and want to hire a lawyer and sue the hospital because she did nothing wrong to be treated this way. They have a process for filing complaints that she didn't want to follow.

It's like when people say crime exists because of poverty. No; crime exists because of ethics, morals and mindset. People aren't trash because they are poor. They are poor because they are trash.
Obviously there is the exception and some people are poor because they were dealt a bad hand, but that is the vast minority. The vast majority just sit around and let life happen to them (and complain about it) instead of getting off their butt and happening to life.

I accepted a long while ago to "guard my meat". I, at that instant, then gave God my impossible to ever fulfill wish list in a woman. I then went forward celebrate working on dismantling what everyone else wanted me to be (for them, not for me)... with the assistance of the Spirit (Force). As I did, I kept praying. As I did I kept having to crumble the towers that society made me to be over the many previous years, not for me, but for them.
Now (well actually mid last year) God offered me my woman. And there was for her immediate acceptance that I was her chosen man, and that I was her man hereon out. Her prayers and my prayers were manifested with tremendous due diligence. We together are making our own path, not someone else's.

Thanks Jennifer for not portraying a glamour image, certainly so with the lack of toilet paper story from your early adult time. It takes courage to tell that story! It’s hard for folks, especially women, to ever be content in our highly possessive society. Men often get viewed as a means to get the woman to fiscally what she secretly aspires to, despite the Bible directing us to be content with what we have. It’s as if the first husband is a ferry boat or a bus to move the woman up to the her next rung/stage of her life’s financial accomplishments, and then repeat. The end comments in your video were refreshing when you spoke of caring about how your husband’s viewed in his peer group, instead of just focusing on how your husband can make you look good in your peer group. That’s a mature feminine mindset!

One of my greatest delights every day is to practice beauty in my words, actions, and appearance. However, the greatest beauty I witness daily is in my work with mathematics and it's symmetries. Hope that there are women, who are a one man woman, who has morals, and ladies that if there is any problems, they want to solve the problems, not bail out, because their girlfriends think, you deserve better.
In my opinion, family, friends, and her girlfriends, can be the ones who can break up good relationships. I'm not saying all women all like this, Some may need to vent, but not to all their friends. And their friend that they vented to, doesn't tell everyone of their friends what's going on. And those that are told, keep it to themselves, and not give the guy, the evil eye like, how dare you.

People like to help those who are already trying to help themselves.
Also on Hypergamy. Hypergamy itself isn't bad, it makes complete sense. The problem is when it is used as an excuse for cheating, and breaking commitments. The "oh well she was married but some richer dude came along who she was more attracted to so she was unhappy, and since she is unhappy she just had to cheat" no date up, that's fine and makes sense, but don't divorce up or cheat up, still not ok.
On lowpergamy. There was an old radio show called love line with Dr. Drew. he said that women who grow up in chaotic households get used to living in chaos and drama... that becomes familiar to them, that feels normal. Then when they get a good guy who is stable and life gets stable, that peace and lack of drama feels weird and uncomfortable, they begin to panic because they don't know where the problem is, they feel like there must be a problem they don't see and they feel out of control of their life, so they will sabotage their good relationship, or leave a good yet boring guy for the bad boy to get back into that chaotic environment.
Dr.Drews advice to the women who did this was essentially, "your emotional guy picker is broken. Don't trust it. Date a guy you are not attracted to and you will have a much happier better life. This feeling will never completely go away, this will have to be something you need to learn to live with the rest of your life, and go see a counselor to deal with your childhood trauma if you can.
so yes Low-pergamy is definitely a thing. It's bad for women, and it also destroys good men. That's how you create those toxic bad guys who treat women like crap, by making them give up on treating women well.

Hi Jennifer. For your compacted clay soil I would recommend tilling in sand and compost for a few years to amend it,as you're tilling this in you can also begin to terrace the ground for a more level garden. Now as for the value of a garden......Why do people go to art museum's? Some may go to kill time but most people there go to feel the emotions the artist's put into their works. Such is true for gardens. Anyone with a little bit of yard can create something beautiful. Not everyone may think so but that shouldn't matter to the creator of the space. What matters is being able to put ones inner feelings out into the physical world. Remember the saying, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" . Just have fun creating. Your friend, Bill.

Gardening can be very rewarding and here's some suggestions. Start small because your excitement may fade when you realize the work involved. First plant things that take time to grow like gooseberry and currant bushes, if you like making jam. Asparagus takes 3 years before you get your first harvest. Consider tomatoes, radishes, pickles, carrots, and herbs which are way better than anything you buy at the store. Grow rhubarb, lettuce, peppers, parsley, peas, and red cabbage. Corn and potatoes are cheap and may not be worth the effort. Imagine snapping off a stalk of asparagus and eating it raw - its very good.
In addition to water and sunlight, think about pests. The dog is good for chasing away rabbits and squirrels but slugs are hungry too and can be handled with 1/4 full cans of beer. You may need to spray to keep away caterpillars. If you have fruit trees, bears, deer, and squirrels will offer competition. Bears will break off limbs when eating from peach trees. Birds go after berries, so you may have to cover the bushes with a net.
If you're mostly on your own building the garden, I would plant in boxes filled with topsoil mixed with cow manure. If you have a tractor with forks, you could plant a little bit of everything in each box and rotate them between the garden and your house. You can extend the growing season with a green house. Composting is a good way to get rid of waste. Tomato plants need to grow on sticks, held in place with twine. Plant seeds over a time period to expand the duration of the harvest. This is especially true for lettuce that grows bitter when too large.
I would put flowers near the house where you smell the fragrance and watch the bees. Consider a variety of flowers that bloom at different times, so there's always something to look forward to.
You can do everything right and still get a bad harvest. For example, too much rain may ruin the tomatoes. It takes time to be a good gardener so be easy on yourself.

17:03. A beautiful garden is absolutely NOT pointless. Beyond the value it provides to inserts, bees, rodents, and birds. Our mental health is as equally important as our physical health. If seeing your plants in the morning and before bedtime makes you happy and maintains your mental health, you can't set a value, irs priceless.

Glad at least I can watch you talking about important matters with a vibrance that keeps things calm and "light." Great video and happy you are doing well. I grew up in southern WV near the VA border. IMO, per other posts, check with the WVU agriculture extension office and get soils samples. You may need to amend your soil with composted top soil, manure, lime, etc. Agreed you could use terraced planting in the corral area. The upper slope would be ideal for fruit trees, i.e. apples, cherries, plums, etc. Also, that area would be great for blackberries and raspberries canes. For veggies; corn rows, potato rows, cabbage, etc. Your lower garden area looks great for other vegetable types. As always, I wish you the best and happy you are posting again.

You can take fallen branches and lay them, so they're level on the hill. Anytime it rains the leaves etc. will wash down and get caught. It won't take long for a nice black soil to develop that you can add to the next suggestion. You can use a hose and water and a few other things to map the terrain an create what they call swales. That is almost like a terrace, but it is designed to capture runaway organic material and water. It can drought proof your garden. You garden on the tops of the swales. Geoff Lawton can teach you a bit look him up and use the word swale and permaculture. You were delightfully random. Enjoyed the video. I was fortunate my wife and I met and were engaged on the second date which was the night after the first one, and we were married 3 months later or so. I had dated and known enough aholes that I knew what I wasn't looking for. I have a video on levelling called 'level like and egyptian'. That's on my rumble channel. The link to my very political channel is on my profile. Hope I helped.

Good to see you again, an added bonus that your family is settled in my home state. I agree the county extension agent is a valuable resource for any of your agricultural questions. In WV deer damage can be a pervasive problem. Preventative measures can be exhausting but deterring them is easier than getting rid of them. Good luck on your beautiful homestead.

Grapes and raspberries will grow on a slope. Alpine strawberries make a great border for a garden. They don't have runners, they grow thick enough to prevent the weeds from going through, and they produce tasty strawberries. Thomas Jefferson recommended that people grow alpine strawberries.

Soil for you can be easy, I am dealing with same. Take a leaf blower in the timber, blow loose leaves from an area then rake up underneath. Till that into your beds, if predominately oak, high acidity so adding agricultural lime to it when till under is HUGE! You can send soil out or do your own samples. Leaf litter is awesome source for your gardens. Adding sand for root veggies really helps also, sometimes is just a bit of work to dig buckets full at the creek if you can't afford to buy bagged or have some hauled in, depending on how much you need. Here is a big one since you have wooded areas, if you enjoy asparagus, all parts of the hasta plant are edible. When they first come up, say 4 inches or so, cut some from multiple areas and do like bake veggies, they are awesome like asparagus and then can randomly use leaves for salads or cook as greens. Of course, later on, you have them for admiration, win win. Hasta's look nice, so easy to whack a chunk of root and start new plants from. I am working on planting them all along our wood lines so they still get shade.

On the situation of understanding Topographical maps .... give your husband several different colored, low cost, lip sticks (eye liner/make up "pencil?", something that will draw easily on and wash off skin), and have him explain/draw Topography, during adult time, using your natural "curves". This is the best, easiest and honestly most comprehensive, TESTED way to learn. Yes, seriously, just saying, it works.

I have also been there before so the difference between sympathy and empathy is Great. Yes the pursuit of happiness and greatness when it's coming from a genuine place peak human motivation and happiness. Not every day and every moment but the ones the you will remember will make you the person that you are in a more positive way.

I have a suggestion for the garden you want to build by the stable in the big open field. The only problem is you might want to get some help because I don't think you could do it alone. I'm sure you're a strong person, but lifting railroad ties and setting them up for raised beds is not going to be easy unless you have a tractor to carry them and set them in place. Anyway, maybe 3 to 4 squares across in boxes of ties, with clay mixed really well with compost, earth worms and nutrients. That way you don't have to terrace the whole lot, and still be able to grow more than you need.

Having a similar conversation just yesterday, about leaving relationships with people who seems 100% neutral about your presence, then after the breakup hit you up with things like "you felt like the right one" or "I wished we could have worked it out.", yet they spent a whole-ass relationship being perfectly 'meh' about you.

  • @John_Conner222
    @John_Conner222 ปีที่แล้ว +3

What you are describing is your perception of our societies scarcity mindset. Everyone is being tired of being screwed over. No one gives away quality meat for free without a scam catch or some implied disrespect. At least that is the thought process. Women who look for bad relationships are wounded and look for things that expose that wound so that they can try and fix it instead of not going after it to begin with. Guys do it too. The manosphere call it a terrible name (Captain Saveahoe) My grandfather used to tell me back in the day before WW2 that people would line up on the streets and hitchhike. If you had a car you just naturally picked up people like you were a taxi or a bus. Eventually buses and taxis were invented to fill the need but it was commonplace nonetheless. Sometimes people pitched you a few coins sometimes they didn't, but it was a way of life for a long time until unscrupulous people started taking advantage of it and robbing those that helped. It's been a downward spiral ever since. The problem is that when you raise your vibration you can no longer truly interact with low vibrational people. They just cannot understand that what you are doing is helping and that you are trying to trick them. Telling you there is no time to get free meat is a polite way of saying no thank you because they don't trust you because they don't trust society in general.

Beautiful property, there is nothing like growing your own food. Plant fruit trees, you will love it. Plant berry bushes, plant strawberries, raspberries, blackberry but make sure their thornless. Any soil can be made better with good compost. Just make sure it does not have chemicals in it. Check your local dairies get a truck load. It's always good to have food sources you control.
