Your channel should have WAY more 'subs... Yall are one of the largest dealers of the Tremec stuff! Good video, I'm still waiting for my checkbook to catch up to my desires. lol
I'm seriously looking for a really strong transmission for my 5k lb truck. I know this transmission is new, but, I'm looking at 800 tq and I don't want to be rebuilding transmission every time I launch it at the strip. what is the projected max this trans is capable of. I would like updates when someone tries to use on of these in a 1000 hp drag car and see it survive.
i had the same problems with my hemi/440 trubo swap in my rear/2 wheel drive car, and i ended up picking the 2014 tr6070 ( with some adapters to make it a ~2016 Chevy Camaro style transmission but kept the 6th and 7th .42 over drive gearing ) same as the magnum ish and tr6060 my car with people and luggage is 6k LB ish and 26-32in tall tires 3:2 rear rpm ish @ 80 mph is 1500-2k is your truck 4X4? if so gorge at rockland standard gear makes a adapter for a corvette c6 and c7 transmission to transfer case and you will still need Camaro parts for the shifter and or after market mid location and the clutch and flywheel ect. plus in your case maybe the right mid plate for the hydraulic parts. if you have any more questions im happy 😊 to help as i was looking at doing the same thing for my Chevy truck too but im busy with my car right now
@Ragingbull340 Thanks! To answer your questions... It should be good down low. Not sure about lugging of engine, but I imagine 2000-2200 range should do well in OD. It is a Pontiac 400 block, which many consider to be big block. The cam is a Comp Cams XE274H with 230/236 Hydraulic Flat Tappet Cam for Pontiac 265-455. High performance street, Very strong mid-range, RPM Operating Range: 1,800-6,000
8000 rpm shift points? I'll hold my breath until i see people slamming gears on the track without pro shifting them, the tko 500/600 was a NON SHIFTING DUD when it was redesigned, it was worse then the 3550/tko and most wouldn't hit third for shit.

Good info & vid. Just eliminate the background music.
Awesome! Can’t wait for mine to arrive!!!!!
Cool except it’s impossible to get a tkx right now
Unfortunately so, supply and demand. And the demand is huge.
Just grab a TR3650 if you can fit it. The TKO should have had this synchro tech honestly. What is the counter shaft weight?

These have been getting proven how tough they are. Ive seen rides that were smooth shifting at 7k rps with this little tranny.
