I'm glad I finally took a look inside the compressor's tank; it wasn't as bad as I thought. In hindsight, the drain valve has been failing for at least a couple of years. We have the same compressor. My brother replaced that valve with a right angle plumbers fitting coupled to a ball valve via a short nipple. It make draining the tank very easy.
I have this compressor as well. Any thoughts on how to get the 3 way check valve off for replacement? I have the replacement check valve, but there is no way to get any type of wrench on it for removal. Thanks!
I’ve got the exact same compressor. I need to get a boroscope and take a look inside mine. I’m afraid to run it up to full pressure right now. Thanks for the video!
I think I came across a treatment being sold online that allows to re-coat the inside of the tank. I don't remember were of course. I'm sure a google search my lead you to it. Thanks for the video!

How do you check for leaks soapy water
Soapy water should work. It's usually audibly apparent when there's a leak, though.
I’ve got the exact same compressor. I need to get a boroscope and take a look inside mine. I’m afraid to run it up to full pressure right now. Thanks for the video!
Yes, it was a relief to see that the tank is in decent shape.
Do you have a link for the boroscope?
Sorry, I thought I had included a link in the description. It's there now. Thanks for checking out the video!

@@timlewis2211 Yes, the borescope put my mind at ease regarding my compressor's health. A link to the scope is in the video's description.
Just broke mine.
This is over kill
What is overkill?
@@DIYApprenticeapparently, being safe is overkill
No it’s not. Great video
