    It must be awful living in such a controlling country

    • @geppy707
      @geppy707 2 ปีที่แล้ว +77

      For our pov yes but people in Pyongyang are brainwashed and they don't realize it. They are convinced that laws are made for their safety and again only for their safety. Leader always says "children are kings and queens of our country" but even Pyongyang citizens have no idea how it works outside of this capital city. Children everywhere else are dying, being forced to steal and make gangs because they're so poor they die in very young age. And if they're caught stealing even just piece of bread because they're dying of hunger, they are transported to camps where they're forced to work until they die because they overwork themselves. Or they're killing each other. Especially girls are making themselves ugly, rip of their hair, harm themselves, even very young ones like 6 years olds because patrols r*pe them. Pyongyang is "heaven" comparing to situations outside Pyongyang but of course they only live in lies, they're manipulated. They only get good stuff if they let government dominate their lives. And if they say just one wrong word, all their family (and i mean ALL including aunts and uncles and their children, grandparents, everyone) they just... Disappear. Government gets rid of all their stuff and pretend like they never existed. And the family's house buys someone else and live "happy" life without having clue. Or they get kicked out to poor regions and they slowly die.
      I recommend to read book of this NK refugee:
      *Sungju Lee: every falling star*
      He perfectly describes how it truly works in NK. Ofc there are many more ppl who write books, who tell their stories in social media etc. This is only book i read but it was very emotional and i realized how scary this is.
      Or this book:
      *D. B. John: star of the north*
      He isn't NK refugee but he wrote this book that is based on real stories and writer used many facts and researched alot.
