Even to me, a 39 year old from Houston TX, it has helped me face my self get help and be courageous enough to leave a 12 year abusive relationship and live a happy life i never knew existed!!! I know most people can agree, but this song really hits differently. I can hear the pain and rawness of his experiences. When I didn't know anything about BTS, the first member that drew my attention was Yoongi. Something about him gravitate me to him and I am glad to be in this same lifetime as BTS. I love your guys discussions at the end bc it means you focus on the lyrics and being open and honest and genuine. Thanks guys

that song rereally hurts but it's also so cathartic to listen to... my heart soars every time when he switches in the middle and goes full in, no matter how much i've listened to it btw i know lyrics videos are the only easy way to listen for a reaction but i hope you guys are aware of doolset if you're ever curious about some lyrics and want to go more in depth in your own time! especially for rapline songs, there is so much that is translated weirdly on lyrics videos, plus you get no cultural context, doolset really is the best ressource if you're a lyrics person 💜

This has mr torn this song is a masterpiece but is is so raw. And talked me back to seeing his pain as an open wound how he was living day to day about to give up and die. The emotional torment the physical pain and the fear that was almost melting his brain. He recently said that the D1 was not as familiar to him cause it was 2016. I also hope he means this in his state of mind as well.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but I believe in another translation video they put that when the doctor asked Yoongi about himself that it was regarding whether or not he thought about s**cide. I don't want to give wrong information, so please let me know. But I think that's what that part was implying but ofc Yoongi couldn't completely put that in the song. This song is always so heavy on my heart and it makes my heart race when I read the lyrics again bc I can't imagine how hard it must have been to release this song. I struggle just telling my parents about things I go through mentally. He's so personal with his emotions in his voice when he raps, but this is why Yoongi's music has always resonated with me for this reason.

I don't know how else to explain it other than I understand the pain that he has went through even if our pain and trauma aren't the exact same.

Suga has always been vocal about his depression and how he saw a doctor for therapy. He always wishes that depression should be talked about like it's just a cold and not judge people going thru it or be ashamed of it so he can help others always to pull themselves up as well the way he did it. I'm one of those who related to him as a depression survivor and being mocked about it by my family, being gaslighted even when I wasnt talking about it and was only hiding inside my room, having had all my parents died and ur siblings telling u & talking about that u're crazy & even posting about it.
