In my honest opinion, one of the best Batman games ever made, based on the second movie. And its awesome how this game was made by Konami in the style of a Double Dragon type beat em up. And the game's soundtrack is pretty solid too. Its very reminiscent of the movie.
I rode on my bike to Blockbuster Video...rented this game and rode back home. I will always remember how that first level track hit so hard. Like many other OST's this has stayed on my playlist. IMHO it ranks as some of the best music that the SNES has to offer. Fantastic for a 16 bit system!
Spencer Nelson didn't composed the soundtrack to this game. He only did the Sega CD Batman Returns which is an entirely different game. The composers for the SNES game is Jun Funahashi & Harumi Ueko!
*Sigh* This game was so accurate with it's music right up to 26:47. They gave the Penguin Catwoman's theme. When I saw this in the game I couldn't believe they made such an obvious blunder. If only patching had existed than.
This game *and movie as well* was one of the first things I was exposed when it comes to Batman *along with the animated series* I really love how well the ost was made to be as faithful to the film itself 😍🙏 to the point where in a few cases I actually prefer some of the tracks here more than the movie itself *the opening intro especially, after the konami logo, things took a turn 😁 a very well made intro* konami did a great job with this game *even if it is only single player, but fun nonetheless* and an honorable mention to the nes version as well *the music, while completely far from what the movie offered, was unique for that version* I miss the golden years of konami making great licensed games 😭😭😢😢
I first played this when it came out. I was about four or five and after hearing that baby crying in the intro I NEVER let it play that far again. That creeped me out so bad. It's funny because now I'm an adult and my first baby was born just two weeks ago. Now I have a baby crying directly into my face whenever I change him and clean his little butt. Lucky for him, I won't toss him and his baby carriage into a Gotham City sewer.
My favorite Batman game of all time. Based on my favorite Batman movie of all time.
story track: birth of the penguin
the zoo (bonus track) snes its ambush of gotham plaza
Agree.

This composer clearly put his life and soul into making this SNES conversion sound as perfect as possible.
Sega: *makes funky music*
SNES: *Makes music that sounds accurate to Elfman's work*
good point
Especially disappointed in the Sega CD version. Would’ve been worth the money to license the soundtrack.
elfman should see this

I'm bad at this game and I always have been, but I love its OST, graphics, atmosphere, and enemies
Spencer Nilson knocked this one out of the park!

Need to name him Oswald :P
Not all the stunning music in this game is featured on the original Batman Returns film soundtrack sadly.
