I feel like this is one of those movies where if just one thing went wrong, it would have ruined the entire film. The fact that nothing did, makes this such an amazing film.

I always knew the skunk was the real villain. The Predator itself was unfortunately a victim of bad circumstance. I've been preaching this for years only to be made fun by my friends who would taunt me endlessly. I was going to end my life. You saved my life Space Ice. You see people, Space Ice is saving lives!

Not only Predator is amazing, pure testosterone and thrilling '80's gold, but also your review is comedic gold that can make anyone to grow a six pack from all that laughter.
This is unfair to Space Ice, since that's not exactly an high bar to clear. I can tolerate Predator 2 because of how hilarious it is sometimes (Scorpio is readyyyyyy) and because the Predator tech and gadgets were absolutely top notch, but everything after that was worthless, including the last one with the feminist Indian.

I gotta say that one scene where they shoot the jungle, and poncho comes back and says the iconic "we hit nothing" is equivalent to the famous jaws "you're gonna need a bigger boat" line. Amazing.

We used to rent VCRs when I was a kid, we'd go get a VCR and five movies for the weekend for like $10. Predator, robocop, the road warrior, or terminator. One of those was always my choice
I absolutely love the humour of this channel. Its hard in this day and age to approach something fresh but the balls to the walls attitude of the jokes is perfect. Dont change a thing. Unless you're in a bar in Thailand and feel threatened by the local dance police.

My parents let me watch this when I was five, maybe six, years old. I've been disappointed by every movie I've seen since then because how can anything compare to Predator? Best movie ever.
My whole family went to see this in the theater when I was seven. I was kind of sick, and I remember having to leave my seat to throw up in a garbage can right at the end when the Predator self destructs. I came back in when the helicopter lands and Arnold is just standing there amidst all the destruction. Then I went to the hospital afterwards 😆 Couldn’t miss the end to such an awesome movie!

From Vandamme bowing out of the project to having to revise the look of the predator, this is one of those few movies that benefited greatly from the series of setbacks behind the scenes. I can only imagine this movie would have looked like one of those Scifi original if the original plans for the movie went ahead without a hitch. No offense to Vandamme but it's hard to imagine a giant roach like creature doing split kicks in the air...

Back then, after a few minutes, a ticket man would show up and ask you for your ticket, like they do or used to do in busses, etc. My father would tell me to hide below the seat until he left. I was so small that i fit there no problem haha Great memories!

Prior to that, Jean Claude Van Damme was hired to wear a suit to be the original Predator, but the suit was horrible and they fired him and hired this very tall actor and had a different artist do a different predator suit.
They did not fire him, he was not happy with his face being covered and he hated hot weather in the jungle. At least thats what Jesse Ventura said at one comic con I was in.
I remember seeing this movie in theaters when I was a kid and it was the first time I saw the faces of so many grown men trying to hide the tension and fear they were feeling as they watched for the first time a bunch of guys who were more than likely bigger and stronger than them, get taken out in such brutal ways by something that was bigger, stronger and had better weapons than them and there was absolutely nothing they could do about it. I believe PREDATOR was the first movie to put fear into the hearts of men everywhere.
My favourite thing about this film (and there are a lot!) is that they're a on a covert special forces mission and they roll in with a mini-gun, machine guns, explosives and grenade launches...and proceed to use them constantly! It might be the least subtle or covert special forces mission in history. Also, after they've expended all their ammunition shooting at nothing in the jungle, how exactly do they expect to get back after probably alerting every armed force in the country and the neighbouring four too and now having nothing to defend themselves with except quips and puns?
Little-known fact - Jean-Claude Van Damme actually did play the Predator in this movie. While he knew he could have easily fought Arnold to a stalemate, he didn't want to shunt his career before he made Terminator 2 and Twins, so instead of destroying Arnold's career with alien spin kicks, he blew up the entire Amazon, which was much less devastating. Also, neither died in the explosion. JCVD had to fake his death in order to rush out of there and handle some very important business in Thailand.

In a completely non-ironic way, Predator is actually the best movie ever made. You can watch it 50 times and it doesnt get old.

I remember seeing this movie in theaters when I was a kid and it was the first time I saw the faces of so many grown men trying to hide the tension and fear they were feeling as they watched for the first time a bunch of guys who were more than likely bigger and stronger than them, get taken out in such brutal ways by something that was bigger, stronger and had better weapons than them and there was absolutely nothing they could do about it. I believe PREDATOR was the first movie to put fear into the hearts of men everywhere.
I didn't see any of that. I couldn't peel my eyes off the screen.

My favourite thing about this film (and there are a lot!) is that they're a on a covert special forces mission and they roll in with a mini-gun, machine guns, explosives and grenade launches...and proceed to use them constantly! It might be the least subtle or covert special forces mission in history. Also, after they've expended all their ammunition shooting at nothing in the jungle, how exactly do they expect to get back after probably alerting every armed force in the country and the neighbouring four too and now having nothing to defend themselves with except quips and puns?
The mission was blown. The hostages were dead, so they had to scorch Earth.

Little-known fact - Jean-Claude Van Damme actually did play the Predator in this movie. While he knew he could have easily fought Arnold to a stalemate, he didn't want to shunt his career before he made Terminator 2 and Twins, so instead of destroying Arnold's career with alien spin kicks, he blew up the entire Amazon, which was much less devastating. Also, neither died in the explosion. JCVD had to fake his death in order to rush out of there and handle some very important business in Thailand.
