  • Making a detached body and then tying the fly. A Norvise was used for this demonstration.

    I love this video, where else would us Brits tie flies but down the pub, it warms your cockles!

    hi lovely fly but can i ask what fitting that is for the norvise

      sorry Andy, just noticed your question. The fitting with the needle is from a very early Norvise (one which had aluminium hubs) and unfortunately they do not make them anymore. You can make a needle to do the same job, Norm demonstrates it on his channel. cheers........Phil.

      I like the old Nor Vise with silver hubs better because you could fit a variety of different jaws or needles in the hole without having to buy the entire hub, The new vice makes more money :)

    Nice tutorial ruined by the background babble and inane questions. I watched this again with no sound. Better!

      Thanks for the comment Stuart. We always have trouble keeping the audience quiet when we do demos. Next time I will remove the sound and add a commentary separately...Phil
