Tie in the hackle where the fluff ends…do not remove the fluff! With hackle pliers at the tip, wind the hackle fibres towards the thorax and pin the hackle securely there with thread. Wind the thread back thru the hackle you just wound and towards the hackle tie in point towards the eye…leave space here, secure the thread. Grip the stem of the fluff with pliers and make a collar with it, make the head. Secure and tie off. Lacquer the head. The fluff is very mobile in the water and adds movement! Love the idea of the silicon tube on the bobbin holder as I find trying to hold them back with finger and thumb a real pain! Great job
Well illustrated! One could add a thin coating of SH HANs (or similar) over a good thread base just prior to winding the peacock rope an rib!

Nice patten. I will give it a try. Glad to see someone using a Norvise. I’ve had one for years and enjoy it. Excellent bobbins but on the pricey side.
