If she doesn’t understand basic game theory of pace, keeping pressure on your opponent to make a mistake and the risk/reward assessment of when to use your time by now, she never will. Using 80% of your time in first 25%of the game is just a serious flaw and illogical to the importance of the game. If you just used 45 minutes on move 15 ( which is still too long in a risk/reward assessment) to adjust your strategy, move 16 should already been analyzed instead spending another 10 minutes. She needs hope this commentator will coach her and study chess instead of playing until she really understands and addresses her serious flaws.

for me gm hammer is the best chess comentator because you can see the current position in game when is streming, because gm hammer dont show too much analize for the game.

Two games playing higher rated player where you where ahead for part of the game and played over 60 moves, also could have found better moves if you had more time. Hammer's analysis on time control looks to be great insight to draw on. Knowing when to spend time on the moves is such an important skill. Still very impressive!!!! Great game to watch and learn from as well, another excellent commentary!!! Maybe think of getting your opponent into time trouble as important as good moves. In California the cows get free foot massage.... ;-) Won two games with the cow today.

You were playing an over 2200 level person and still almost won the game. Just go back and look at thinks you could fix, like you said the time thing. You still got this, what's the rush ya know ;)
Not quite, she lost a game against a higher rated opponent that was poised for a comfortable draw were it not for her abysmal time management issues.

I'd love to go to Norway, meet Hammer somehow and talk about chess and other things with him lol. I just find him so funny and witty :)
White should have played Nf3 instead of Ne2. Then that would allow her to go Ng5 where she would get taken by black Ph6-g5. Then white would take the pawn back with Bh4-g5. Then white goes Ph2-h4 opening up the Kings side and this is before castling so you still have your rook on H1( you don't castle). This gives white a triple attack on blacks King side coming up soon using the Queen, Light-squared Bishop, and the rook. Plus white still has the pawn moving up the H file. The black King is sitting in a weak position and will get exposed.

Good luck Anna. I hope you keep your focus on time and not results. I think you know which move to make, but your focus is on the wrong thing, result. When you make yourself move what you know to be the correct move and not focus on scratching your creative itch, you will also do better.

Probably the last game from her I watch. Just too agonizing when she loses the game by inaction - it seems so stupid to waste all your time instead of spreading it out... But it's not like people aren't calling her out on it already :).

No anna u struggled there was a literal hanging pawn and u used half of ur 15 left over minutes to take it when there was nothing else
