Do you appreciate the synchronized clocks in the corners?
Yes!
Great thinking from the editor
Yeah good idea..
very much
Yes
His mental strength is insane. I find it so hard to stay calm and carry on without doubting myself after a mistake.
How dare these guys playing chess during a coughing tournament.
It seems louder than it is due to the Mike :)
You win lol
Unoriginal comment
Chess coughs for its self
"End Game" that's what makes magnus the GOAT.
It’s not really the ‘end game’ it’s the whole game setting up for the end game..
@@zeekzeek9088 shut up lil bro
Thanks for this format! I really like that they show the players close-up and that their emotions are visible💖💖🌷
regarding tracking each move: bit of a time delay in showing the trail. Also i prefer a yellow trail to see the move faster & more clearly
Thank you for your input! Good idea :)
Thanks for posting these!
You are welcome!
The part where that dude went hmhmhmhm and drank a sip of water was fucking legendary
3:37 holy smokes i did not see that move 😱 look how the body language of rapport changes from before to after
Yes I do appreciate it
Thanks for sharing.🙏
You are welcome!
I never surrender. They either checkmate me or beat me by time.
true words
somewhat common behavior at the lower levels
It's easy to look at the game with an engine and see what Richard missed, but there was no mating the king with his rooks, he was focusing on that and missed the EASY win by just pushing his g pawn, nothing Magnus could do to stop it
As a spectator with engine evaluation it's always easy. You are right - He just missed the g-pawn push under huge time pressure...
Exacto 👍, lo que pasa es que tenía terror a dejar el rey blanco descubierto, no entendiendo que las torres lo cubrían mientras jaqueaban al rey negro
Exactly. Its easy for us to see, but we could never get to this position against Magnus , we’d be theoretically lost by move 15. No doubt about!
@@lionmane1979not really unless you don't know opening theory, I can hang with any Gm for the 1st 15 moves as can many very good players , ( by good i mean at least a 2200 ) yes magnus would probably take a much lower rated player out of book much earlier ( maybe maybe not cause it doesn't matter your going to lose no matter what so he might just play main line shit anyway , and quite a few mainlines go beyond 15 moves. So to say everyone would be theoretically lost by move 15 is rather silly against really good players .

It is a bit like Sumo ringing.
😅😊
That is the beauty of classical chess.
Richard would be a really good poker face because you can’t tell if he is happy, angry or sad.
42:28 Magnus was going to play Qd2, stopped himself and realised instantly, shaking his head later
He could have take one of the tower after the check tho
@@dailydoseoffoose3806 qd2 check rook to g2 pinning the queen to king
Even GM can miss such a simple move to win the game under time pressure. Probably that is what differentiate those in 0.01% with 0.1%.
Which simple move?
I wonder if there's no time limit style of gameplay, who would actually be the #1
@@Viettzz Fabi or magnus.
@@aytaccevik9693 fork with the king and rook

Yes, the clocks are very good, they are adding a useful information. 😁👍
Glad to read this - Thank you.
Very irritating that the end game are never clearly stated who won or drew. The formalities of chess end game must be changed to allow viewers to know how the game ended !!!
Use your eyes omg..
@@MotoCats-mj6bsno asumas q todos los q ven el juego tienen la capacidad de ver inmediatamente quien gana..! aunque para la mayoría sea obvio ,es necesario que confirmen el resultado..
It was a draw
@@tianzhou1244 that is not the point i don't care what it was, the etiquette in Chess sucks. The end game should be clearly visual by toppling the king piece when resigning.
@@ericastier1646 bro nobody resigned, it was a draw
Rapport at the end: sorry
Whoa, would love to hear the reason or the background for saying that.
Same; tbh I’m still figuring out if it was a draw or what
He often says sorry to his opponents after finishing a game if they can’t win. After beating Pragg he even said sorry. What a gentleman.
@@lindastina thanks!
Yeah, I'm always rooting for my man Richie :)
it's draw?
@@Hascienda27he forced a draw by threefold repetition
The Man is a Machine.
true
I am a 1500 elo player and i found Ng4 under 3 sec and after Bb3 it's all over. A 2000 will finish Rapport with ease after Bb3. I really don't know how Rapport could have missed that one. But ok it is always easy to talk about others mistakes. I guess all the stress played tricks on him. Still that was a really easy (bad) one!
I am only a 1200 and I saw it right away too and had to rewind a few times to make sure I wasn’t missing something obvious. It has to be the time and stage pressure combined with the thing I struggle with all the time…. In timed games…. I assume my opponent will make the best move and am only prepared to counter that move not a mistake or inaccuracy. I have figured out how to avoid missing most blunders finally but alas the other two are what must be pounced on the most
Ng4 does not really work because of Qe7
12:05 why not Ng4
That would be nice. I guess he was too scared do attack...😮
لقد كانت نقلة قوية لكنها في الوقت 12:23 ,وبدل نقلة الابيض Bb3 المتراخية،
Why not ng4
I'm also wondering
This is loosing for calsen

Thank you! Best wishes to Indonesia!
Richard is something special. I mean that in a really good sense. Once he learns to have more confidence...look out!

This is a coughing contest
@44:10 richard made a blunder. If he moved his king up one square. He had good chances to move his castle to g1 and it woulda check mated. Idk what his thoughts were? Maybe magnus queen to h8?
interesting idea
@@GRENKEChess QH8 check and endless checks until draw.. think richard was looking for a win there at the end
Magnus is a machine and Rapp isnt. Computer had rapp with a big advantage but he could never take advantage of it and he cough cough choked. Which is sad i wanted to see more games played. Least Hans won in his tournament held in the same place future world champion! Hans would of made it a much funner game to watch.
Hans was called out by the arbiter during his game (unheard of) and returned looking perturbed. Something DEFINITELY happened and no one is saying
Richard review your game why the pawn is free why your move like not pro

Magnus Monster in engame
It's insane how he is holding here...
the cameraman should respect the player by not moving arround to close, its so annoying. Bobby Fischer would angry if he still alive.

El peón blanco debió avanzar, era peón pasado, la dama negra sólo debía frenarlo, mientras tanto se le daba jaque al rey negro
Doesn’t rapport have Rg1, Qe1 forced, RxQe1# checkmate at the end?
The rook on g3 can't go to g1 because it's pinned by the queen
He should have taken Pawn at B7 @35:35 then try to double up Rooks and try to checkmate or trade 2 Rooks for the Queen. Still up 3 pawns to 2 .
Are you SERIOUS??? The other rooks falls WITH CHECK. STUPID MOVE!!!!
After Magnus played g4 Richard was way up
its a tie?
20:52😂
that black castle destroy only using bishop 12:11
How? Write the move!
They repeated the pieces 3 times or 4 times.
Both very handsome men considering they the top of the chess world.
especially rapport
For a cush person like me , time will end 😂😅😅 up relapsing thinking it is magnus who is playing
At 8 minutes 31 seconds , rapport missed knight g4
Why did the clock on Richard's side change at around 42:03?
And Magnus time at 42:33?
they get a few secs after every move
What a superhero trying to defeat such an ogre!

La expresión de Rapport luego de las tablas fue como "me salvé" jajajajajajaja
Why did he said sorry at the end ?😂
Porque repite la jugada
It was a gentleman act - He knew that Rapport deserved the win in this game. Magnus defended a lost position to a draw.
Berabere Richard melek yüzlü katildir😅
42:33 why didn’t Carlson move queen to D2? Check and takes rook on F4? Am I missing something?
As I posted this comment I realized the focus was on the G4 pawn. It all makes sense now.
Block check with Rg2 and white gets the queen for rook
you just hung your Queen!
Rg2, Queen pin.
Plugs in board are for what
Transmission of the game into the worldwide web.
the pieces have some sensors so with that you transmit directly how is the position in the board.
That was utterly embarrassing...
Was it a draw?
yes
I think it was draw after same three moves
yes
Why did Magnus not fork the rook and the king with queen d2 checking the king and attacking the rook? Free rook surly?
What timestamp?

Actually raport can win, if he forward the free pawn
This was the winning plan.

I'm just a noob but I think so yeah, 3 moves repeated. Not sure why Rapport did that. If Carlsen was ahead in games, maybe he only needed a draw to win.. I don't know if they have to play again tomorrow.

What would be your winning plan in this game ?
42:32 Magnus se da cuenta de su error y ve la partida perdida. Raport increíblemente no se da cuenta que pude coronar y ganar...
The camera man needs to quit moving around. Talk about an annoying distraction for the players. Put the camera on a tripod and go get some lunch.

He is like a Neo The One in Matrix of chess 😂😂😂
Poor Rapport 😢😢😢 Sorry for that 😢😢😢
Rapid is not chess. I hope he comes back for a long time next year.
Classic takes too long
It's 45 minutes. Cannot really say it's rapid. Not classical either. Perhaps fast classical.
Rapport should have won that ngl
He has to earn it
@@melzz he would have with more time 🙄🙄
@@alybruh8670 Time is also a factor in chess, it’s his own fault that can’t manage time well enough
@@alybruh8670spoken like a true Magnus hater. Keep crying kid. “Should have won”. It isn’t over till it’s over, imagine someone automatically resigning when they’re in a losing position in chess… if you’re ever in a losing position, just surrender your game if you think like this. “He would have with more time”. Dumbest thing I have ever read, you can either think fast and play Less good moves, or take super long to think and play better moves… but that means you’re obviously going to have less time in the end. Keep crying kid, Magnus the GOAT.
What was the move? After Bd3 something else?
all these backseat gamers in the comments lol
Even I saw the winning sequence and I'm a 2000 player... the fact he had NO clue what to do was just embarrassing...
Amazing! Hoping to see you in Grenke Chess next year!
I'll be seeing you next year in these finals, I guess.
Oh no, what's he gonna do now?!! He's so embarrassed!!! Lmao.. get a life dude
I think you are severly underestimating the pressure he is under
Totally embarrassing...guess I'll see you there in his place next year from the sounds of it!!
Play with me,if you win then you will good player, otherwise how?l don’t believe
Richard was so weak and poor in the finals. His nerves failed him. He didn't deserve to be in the final. MVL had a better chance than him. Richard should give walkover every time he faces Magnus.
how did he not deserve to be in the finals? he fought for that place, and got 2nd. that's it. also he beat Magnus in their first game of this tournament
carlsen intimidates opponents. richie won it. ✌🏻
carlsen can't just sit stably, and distracts opponents. he is a cheater! his facial expressions and too much moving is disgusting. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 even a four yesr old is more gentle than this narcissist. richard, bravo!✌🏻
Chill bro😢
Baits used to be believable
If you're distracted by these, you are not a true chess player, sorry.
I don't feel like Carlsen moves much more than the average player at this level.. although ive seen him twiddel the chess pieces in his hand obessively, that i imagine could be annoying for the opponent... but may chess players do this move... and done in a certain manner and not to much, it is probably acceptable.. Perhaps some of Carlsens peers move more during matches..? truely youve got to make this comparison in order to make the statement you do...?
@@erikvinnes This guy is obviously trolling. Magnus doesn't move excessively whatsoever, this guy just want's a reaction.
