Brotherhood follows the manga to a T where as the original goes in a completely different direction and is loosely related to the manga. The humor is gone from the later episodes of Brotherhood because the manga got seriously dark later on. In my mind the series are equal as one is manga canon and the other became its own separate continuity. One is not better than the other as they're both good in different ways.

Fullmetal alchemist is one of my all time favorite anime ever: The one anime TV show from the early 2000's. Edward elric as a character is great, he's my absolute favorite character in this show.

I know right. They even got a movie for it, which is kind of boring, because it doesn't really relate to anything, but we never get to see the elrichs go back to imestrus. Personally, I kind of liked the bitter sweet ending, even though they could have just gotten someone from Germany to blow up the portal after going through it with a rocket.
I have heard a theory about that they are the same storry because when 2003 fma ended the truth was dissapointed but because the truth has god-like powers the truth just smiled and said "again"... and so the storry started all over and that's why the first op is called again :)... Yeah Brotherhood was good at first, but got less funny later on.
Brotherhood follows the manga to a T where as the original goes in a completely different direction and is loosely related to the manga. The humor is gone from the later episodes of Brotherhood because the manga got seriously dark later on. In my mind the series are equal as one is manga canon and the other became its own separate continuity. One is not better than the other as they're both good in different ways.

Fullmetal alchemist is one of my all time favorite anime ever: The one anime TV show from the early 2000's. Edward elric as a character is great, he's my absolute favorite character in this show.
No joke, I still have a hard time seeing this as *just* a fan cover, cause I still swear I heard this version open an episode to FMA 03 on TV as a kid.
Still, it's definitely an amazing cover of, in my opinion, one of the best FMA openings.

I know right. They even got a movie for it, which is kind of boring, because it doesn't really relate to anything, but we never get to see the elrichs go back to imestrus. Oh well, at least they have each other in Germany. Personally, I kind of liked the bitter sweet ending, even though they could have just gotten someone from Germany to blow up the portal after going through it with a rocket.
I have heard a theory about that they are the same storry because when 2003 fma ended the truth was dissapointed but because the truth has god-like powers the truth just smiled and said "again"... and so the storry started all over and that's why the first op is called again :)... (I know it's probably more logical that there are just two diffrent storrys but I just think that this theory id a really cool concept :) )
