    Great video! I like watching videos like this of Bergen, to see my city from a different perspective! Oh, and the "tram" are actually a light rail-system, not a tram line

    Wow, what a fantastic video. I live in the Scottish Highlands so there is a familiarity to the countryside which has so many similarities. However I’m almost in tears looking at how a country should be. Amazing roads well cared for. Clean and tidy everywhere you look. Buses and trains we can only dream of. We so poor by comparison in Scotland, the roads are falling to bits here, our trains are ancient (nearly 50 years old) and literally falling to pieces. Rubbish all over Scottish towns, cities and countryside. The Highland Council cannot even afford to cut grass in parks or roadsides. Norway is what Scotland should be like

      Our traincars are 50+ year old too, they've just been refurbished regularly.

      I agree. I'm from the North of England and each time we go to Norway, I think this is so like the UK, but how it should be. I guess Norway was luckier with the oil - bigger area of oil than the UK, far lower population, and a proper plan to use the money from it wisely

    I took that bus last year in summer, but in the other direction. It's really stunning, nice to see a video about it.

    We avoid buses because my partner is disabled
    and now uses a wheelchair
    so it is interesting to see a nicely appointed bus
    doing the coastal route.
    You were lucky in Bergen
    It has rained every day we have visited
    and I used to use in my classroom
    the example of Bergen
    for the effect of the Gulf Stream
    and the chances of precipitation
    increasing with mountains LOL
    We even have an umbrella
    I bought in Bergen
    called the "Bergen Brolly"
    because it rained so much there.

      The city was (and might still be) europe's city with the most rain days in a year. Never too heavy rain, but always rain

      I wonder if Shakespeare ever visited
      (I know he didn't)
      but this line from Twelfth Night
      "For the rain it raineth every day"
      could have been written about Bergen LOL.

    Beautiful video. I've been to Sweden, but never Norway. It's on my Top 3 list for my next vacation. Unfortunately, I'll have to use a less-sustainable method of travel...my car. Why? Because I travel with my 3 dogs! Keep these great videos coming! 👍

    Great trip. In my country we have long distance bus with 2 or even 3 Ferry crossing.

    Useful information these power outlets at Bergen busstop doesn't work

      Ooohh really? Okay good to know. I always go fully charged on board of a train or bus, especially in a bus (also car) charging on board costs relatively a lot of fuel, so I always use powerbanks for that.

    We've done the trip both ways twice, and I filmed every metre! It is a fantastic journey and as you said, it's well worth paying the bit extra for the front seats on the top deck. Link to see the full journey th-cam.com/video/NzEQWQ7fExI/w-d-xo.html. There are other great road trips in Norway as well. We went from Bergen to Ålesund and it took over 10 hours - fabulous scenery and 3 or 4 ferry trips (we had to take a long detour on the journey up adding a ferry). Love the information you give in your videos - for example, when we went to Copenhagen for Eurovision, we spent ages trying to get our cases in the lockers - test lockers like in Bergen station would have saved us a lot of time.

    The official website says that the minimum transfer time should be 30 min for busses from a same company.... I book a trip that Nor-way buss provided for me. it has one transfer and the transfer time is 5 min... even consider that no need to walk to another buss stop, is this trip solid and safe for me to get oslo from odda? Thanks... truly worried.

      If it is one booking then they are responsible for the transfer. Tanlk to the bus driver and they will make sure that it corresponds if your bus is delayed

    Thank you for the video! On which side of the bus do you recommend to sit for the best views?

    • @Trainviking
      @Trainviking  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Actually it's all pretty, I recommend to try to take the seats in the front, these are called panorama seats. You have to pay a bit extra for this though.

    • @timsharp
      @timsharp หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Trainviking I second that - the view from the front (either side) is spectacular and well worth the bit extra - it transforms the trip entirely

    Can you take a bicycle on this bus?

    • @Trainviking
      @Trainviking  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      As far as I noticed no, best thing is to look this up on the website of the bus company, nor-way.no

    • @fyivid

      The ferries are free for passengers without cars, so you can bring your bike in those cases at least :)

      You should be happy he's talking and giving information - in my videos I don't talk at all, mine are just the trips with written comments (e.g. th-cam.com/video/eP4bBAR45Ro/w-d-xo.html)
