- The Jury is a British television serial broadcast in 2002 (with a second series in 2011). The series was the first ever to be allowed to film inside the historic Old Bailey courthouse.
This is an excellent series. I watched it all back to front, never heard of it til lately and happened to buy a dvd of series 2 on the off chance. It's such compelling vieiwng. thanks so much for posting...

This is the first time I've seen this and it is scary to think that the jury members represent "a jury f my peers" with all of the excess baggage they all come with. It is impossible for them to concentrate on the trial. The stuff that goes on behind scenes that we are never aware of that causes the jury to come up with the wrong verdict expecially when the facts read something else. How sad
If you ever served on a Jury it would really shock you, bigots, racists and just plain stupid for the most part. I saw a couple of good fair people just give up, in the end, to get out of there before they went crazy.

in answer to SpectralInferno he asks her age, she says you can't ask me that and he says 'ah no you're right, oh shit,ok", He's speaking with a Scots dialect.
Because he is Scottish! Speaks with his accent throughout!

At 17:01 he asks her something, and she responds with, "You can't ask me that.". I just can't make out what he's saying.. can someone tell me?

Quite apart from the technical errors in the trial procedure, for instance the milk-man held the Bible in his left hand, the plot/story is just garbage. What a complete utter waste of time, money and effort.
