I literally grew up with this song and Tarja ended so many concerts with it, so it‘s original melody is carved into my brain like a tattoo. 😅 However I love Sharon‘s quite different version, her lovely voice adds a new beautiful flavour to it. I usually do not like when people cover Tarja‘s songs, because the result is usually freaky, But this one I love, love, love! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Tarja’ songs covers, as well as all NW songs during Tarja’s era will never be close to their original. That is because of Tarja’s unic voice. The best covers i’ve ever listened to are performed by Natalia Sarsgård (Tsarikova), whose voice, imo, is closest (yet far) to Tarja’s one. However, this cover is pretty good. Way far from original, yet pretty good.

Listen for example to Doro , you would really compare a woman like Doro with her particolar heavy metal voice to Floor?. Doro is one of greatest in her genre. Floor is listenable but there is no comparison. Love her songs with After Forever and Revamp. She's good but not as high and exaggerated as you think. In all symphonic videos it seems only Floor Jansen exists. She's really overrated. Lori Lewis you probably don't even know who she is.
