Uuuh, I've never read a food memoir but now I want one! Mexico or an Arabic country would be perfect. Off to research that! Thanks for the wrap up, it's always lovely to sit down with one of your videos!
I've only really come across celebrity food memoirs so far but I did enjoy both Stanley Tucci's and Anthony Bourdain's. I read Julia and Julie a long long time ago and I remember enjoying that too. I'm on the hunt for more though, so let me know if you find any promising ones!
It makes me happy to hear that you loved the book by Stefan Zweig. He is one of my most favourite German writing authors. And I love how you pronounce his name. 😂 And yes, Herta Mueller's books are definitely bleak. I would recommend The Hunger Angel by her, but it is also not uplifting for sure.
Oh LORD apologies for the terrible pronunciation - I do try but I don't speak a lick of German 😂 I've added The Hunger Angel to my tbr for when I'm next ready to descend into misery.
Very impressed with your perseverance in your Euro project even though you're not loving the books 😅 I really enjoyed The Land of Green Plums by Herta Muller if you're looking for something a bit longer 😊
Probably the one and only time in my life I've been praised for my perseverance so if that's all I get out of this project it will have been worth it 😂 Thanks for the Müller rec, it's on the list!
living for this wrap up, I love a ramble ! thank you for sharing📚✨
Oh, thank you 🥰

Ok I was so confused by this and now I get it THANK YOU. (I had not remembered, nor had I remembered to Google it.)
@@hannahlosttheplot Yeah, I guess after talking about 15 books for over an hour a bit more context would have been helpful. Next time, I promise.
@@Nina_DP nah, keep me on my toes!
