Cullen is by far my favorite romance in the game. Not only is it the only romance where there’s actual issues that the couple have to work through, but in terms of an overall character arc it’s insane. Cullen has gone from being a tortured Templar we saved in the first game, he established a moral backbone and stood up for what was right for perhaps the first time in his life, to being the Commander of the Inquisition, and a man who has finally fallen in love. Adding on top of that the fact that he GAVE UP LYRIUM, which no one has ever done successfully, and that he suffers from PTSD from being tortured and driven almost insane... He’s got enough raw willpower to top Hal Jordan. Character development gold.

Well he does this whether you romance him or not lol long as you choose the right decisions. I get what you mean though, he's definitely one of the healthier, happier romance options. Unlike Solas - which I prefer due to its complexity and his character depth and involvement in the story, but not a happy Romance option for Inquisitor really... Wonder if that romance will even matter in the next game. Hopefully Inquisitor doesn't die.

i'm late to the fandom party too but I absolutely dig Dragon Age Inquisition, but more importantly, I dig the romance between Cullen and a female Inquisitor (human or elf).
That is my problem. The same with Dragon Age 2. I try to romance someone else and always end up with Fenris lol. Alistair, Cullen and Fenris I just can't romance anyone else in my games lol.
I always thought Romancing Cullen with a circle mage is perfect given his history with circle mages and the Hero of Ferelden if you choose to be a Female Amell
My first play through I did a female elf mage so he could finally have his female elf mage. It's a shame depending on your choices in Origins that you couldn't bring her back for Inquisition if you didn't end up with Alistair.

I always romance Solas. Dark broody elves are apparently my type, but that romance is seriously seriously lacking in a throw everything off the desk and do me scene. Seriously. Even Fenris puts out.
Zevran the humorous flirty assassin bad boy and Fenris the serious romantic glowly former elve slave bad boy had both gave you verbal love and physical love compared to Solas who was lacking for my personal romantic taste for bad boys. I had more of romantic deeper pleasure with Anders the flirty romantic mage bad boy , Morrigan the serious mage bad girl or Isabella the flirty humorous rogue bad girl over Solas. Heck , Cullen the tormented sweet yet agressively passionate good guy had more romantic development than Solas. I had preferred Cullen , Dorian and Iron Bull who are my romance go to over Solas who was disappointingly in romance for me in DA:I. Heck , Garrus , Jack, Miranda and Thane in Mass Effect are delicious romantic bad boys in romances over Solas.

I looked up Cullen's romance. It was everything we could have asked for in this game. Especially the hug at the end after the final boss... It was too sweet and heartwarming that he could finally get his happy ending after everything he went through. Also, side note: 57:57 wtf is in the background crawling up Cullen's stairs??

Alistair was awkward former trained Templar warrior who sweep you off your feet in romance. Anders was flirty playboy mage who sweep you off your feet despite his tormented soul twisting bad boy ways. Commander Cullen was awkward shy yet agressively passionate ex-Templar warrior who shows you passionate embraces and swept on top of his desk. Three of my top favorite DA romances.

Cullen and The Iron Bull are my favorite Romances. But I must say...romancing the Dread Wolf just to knock his teeth out in the DLC is soooo satisfying too I guess Josephine and Casandra are my lwast favorite ones.
First time I played I romanced Cullen. I mean look at him, but when I decided to play DA1 and DA2 cause my friends suggested it. I kinda wished I didn't cause Cullen was a whiny scaredy cat in DA1 and somewhat of an asshole I'm DA2. But I will say he did alot of growing up in this game and obviously looks a lot better. Anders was flirty playboy mage who sweep you off your feet despite his tormented soul twisting bad boy ways. Commander Cullen was awkward shy yet agressively passionate ex-Templar warrior who shows you passionate embraces and swept on top of his desk. Three of my top favorite DA romances.

First time I played I romanced Cullen. I mean look at him, but when I decided to play DA1 and DA2 cause my friends suggested it. I kinda wished I didn't cause Cullen was a whiny scaredy cat in DA1 and somewhat of an asshole I'm DA2. But I will say he did alot of growing up in this game and obviously looks a lot better. Is it just me or does a lot of people's female Inquisition are starting to look the same??
