Your videos continue to be an excellent resource for me. Just last night I found that my drivers side rear mount had torn and, thinking to myself how much work this is going to be to replace, I immediately went to TH-cam and found your video. Less than 5 minutes later, I fully understand the process to replace all four mounts. Thank you for doing this series, it's been remarkably helpful!
DIYGuys, thanks so much for your incredible S2000 DIY content. I don't wrench on my s2k much at the moment, but if I ever had to I would check your channel first for a DIY.
Thanks - This was very useful. I made the mistake in trying to do this without removing the exhaust. I get everything out but trying to get that one bolt in above the exhaust wasted an hour and I ended up dropping part of the exhaust to get to it. I'd love to see a rear differential fluid change DIY &, transmission fluid change DIY.
About to do this today! Did you reuse the center bolts + washers + nuts that go into the 4 bushings themselves? Mine look beat up and was considering replacing those as well unless you don’t think they’re necessary to replace . . .
I would like to see your take on spoon Ridgid collar install. I'm not sure if you have any interest on installing these, but if so, make sure you make it a DIY!
Hi man. Your channel is the best for s2000 owner! Can you make a video about headlight? I have one that don't move on self levelling and I want to know the procedure to check it and after that regulate the beam. Thank and keep it up!
DIYGuys I'm from Italy. Yes we have that... I was surprised too when discovered that.... And when I reset the "headlight centraline" move only the left one...
Would love to see a diy on how to regrease the starter as for mine is making a lot of grinding noise at start up but only on cold mornings. Its a common issue from what I've been told.
I’ve read up on that quite a bit and the only permanent fix is to replace the starter. From what I remember those that greased the starter had the issue come back within a year.
These mounts were replaced because the owner just wanted to as preventative maintenance. When we took out the driver rear it was actually starting to tear. I almost made an inspection video but I didn’t have quite enough footage. I’m looking for another car with really busted mounts so I can make a video on inspecting the mounts and what the replacement options are.
i just bought my first s2k yesterday. when i shift to 2nd and 3rd and releasing the clutch i hear some clunking noise under the car in the back. could be those bushings?
I would record a video of the sound and post it on s2ki. It’s hard to say anything accurate by just the description. What I can tell you is that in every car that I’ve driven that has had busted diff mounts, I can’t even tell unless I look under the car.
It is not necessary to remove the exhaust system, I replaced my rear mount today and only unbolted the diff at the front mounts but the 4 bolts that hold the diff to the aluminum brackets. If you are replacing the front mounts then your way is the way to do it.
I can definitely add a sentence or two. For these videos I like to keep them mostly as a reference and made separate videos to talk through common issues.
I saw a test OEM Dif Mounts' flex th-cam.com/video/gMJJPqdCC2c/w-d-xo.html M&M developed a Frame Damper for rigidity & retain OEM comfort th-cam.com/video/NcWAZMDb8YA/w-d-xo.html I doubt comfort is retain
Are you saying you doubt comfort is retained with the Spoon mounts? Honestly I couldn't feel the difference at all. Even when I installed 75A Innovative Diff Mounts I didn't notice a bit of difference.
Doubt towards M&M Frame Damper I wouldn't know for SPOON or other Producers, I have yet to experience outside of OEM mounts. Was SPOON best bang for the buck or trying something new?
jinn Nguyen this is my car, with diff mounts I can’t tell much of a difference, but they were old and about to tear. The price difference when imported directly from Japan and OEM is negligible. The engine Spoon motor mounts had a more drastic change. Just a little more NVH, perfect fit, but throttle response is nice.

This tutorial made the job so easy! Thank you.

Good to know! I have videos of both of those already!
About to do this today!

Mine look beat up and was considering replacing those as well unless you don’t think they’re necessary to replace . . .
I reused mine!
I would like to see your take on spoon Ridgid collar install. I'm not sure if you have any interest on installing these, but if so, make sure you make it a DIY!
They have been sitting in my garage for a year. Next time the CR needs an alignment they are going in! Likely within 6 months.
I have a DIY on my channel if your interested!
Hi man.
Your channel is the best for s2000 owner!

Thank and keep it up!
Thanks! Where are you from? I don’t think s2000s have self leveling headlights. Do you mean a DIY on how to adjust the headlight level?
DIYGuys I'm from Italy.
Yes we have that... I was surprised too when discovered that....
And when I reset the "headlight centraline" move only the left one...
We don’t have self leveling lights in the states so unfortunately I can’t make a video about that.
sad about that... thank for all the other video btw ;-)
Thanks! I've got my S off the road for a whack of maintenance and upgrades. Diff carriers are part of that. Thanks for the video!
No problemo.

DIYGuys oh no way? Interesting. But no worries. Thanks for the reply back. Happy holidays!
Actually looking back on the threads it looks like people have mixed results. I’ll add it to the list.
DIYGuys looking forward to it.
Nice job dude ! Will be doing these in the near future
Thanks buddy!
Can I ask what prompted you to replace this mount? Like what let you know that it was bad or going bad, was there noise, movement, etc?

Cool... have u heard of a "thump" sound from the rear when going into gear after coming to a stop at a light?
Yep. Pretty sure it is completely normal. You can read about it on S2Ki.
www.s2ki.com/forums/s2000-under-hood-22/loud-clunk-going-into-1st-gear-990858
That is great to know... I was already thinking I was gonna have to get a new diff lol Thanks for taking the time to respond!
Thank You!!! Very Helpful!!!
Just wondering how long did this job take? Thanks
Should always be on the description. Took me 3 hours while filming with breaks. Should be a 2 hour job.
DIYGuys thanks for the info and quick reply
Can you comment on the difference in driving between these Spoon mounts vs OEM? I'm debating between Mugen/Spoon or oem+collars.
No unfortunately I haven’t daily driven spoon mounts. I just went for a short test drive and they felt nice.
thanks. I love your DIY Videos. :)
Can you tske off the front diff mounts without removing the rear?
Hmm. Not sure.
i just bought my first s2k yesterday. when i shift to 2nd and 3rd and releasing the clutch i hear some clunking noise under the car in the back. could be those bushings?

Keep these videos coming ! Great Job
Hoping to learn how to do a coolant flush this weekend!

Maybe in future videos you can tell us why you're doing each job?
I can definitely add a sentence or two. For these videos I like to keep them mostly as a reference and made separate videos to talk through common issues.
DIYGuys other than that keep up the good work man!
Will do.

Wasn’t my car. Friend just wanted to go JDM 😁
oh shoot!
You did mention you have 75A
