I like Flats a lot because he usually keeps his cool even when he is doing the best he can in a game and he doesn't win. He doesn't really complain but points out where his team could be doing better. 👍
In the first shatter, from flats perspective the shield was down but from bowie's perspective the shield was up for a few miliseconds already. Must be a latency issue.

@@dazey856 yeah that’s the struggle with playing any hero, if your team is seriously not playing well, no matter how good you play. There’s no way to win.

Compared to Flats being respectful and calm regardless of whatever the outcome of fights/matches are, Bowie seems to just hard tilt.

@@springy319 The point is to keep your cool despite losing. Be mad after not during the game. I got gold even though I suck by not flamming my team and trying to encourage them to keep going.

He claims he killed over half the team on defense,, then he says he killed 4. So he killed flats whole team and we all missed it or?

what I got from that shatter is that it has two separate hitboxes: the shockwave starts from your feet and the hammer is a little ahead and does the 250 dmg with knockdown but without traveling. bowie blocked the shockwave but was close enough to get caught in the hammer hitbox
I would agree with that, however, before they made the 250 crit shatter box it still would fail shatter past the first target. I've had it happen to 4-5 times in the past it mostly happens when you shatter through a shield though. has a bit to do with ping dif too.
I learned that when i was one shot at full health by a shatter XD

As a rein main for years and just now getting into plat/dia, the team make up and synergy is huge. Usually play with a buddy or 2..need a full team.

I can definitely relate to how the other top 500 rein main was arguing with his teammates.
I feel a big difference between you two that might have ended up having a big influence on the outcoome was most likely mentality. Bowie wasn't having that much fun from what it seems like, fighting with his own team, while flats was having a good time & laughing with his friends.
Remember that you should be playing to have fun!
If you're inside a building and Lucio is on the outside riding or the other way around you can see a lil image of lucios wheels through the wall and be able to know exactly what lil whole or window he will pop up in next

Man Flats I just fund your channel a few days ago I think and have been dying laughing and loving the content lol. Just off you roasting everything bronze it's helped me dig my way out after the latest patch in just one night lol. Well not all the way, I started the night Bronze 5 and finished Bronze 1. I was high gold low plat in OW1, I need to do whatever you do to keep so level headed cuz I can get like bowie at times which is why I don't always have mic up.
I would have loved this video back in Overwatch 1. Sadly, there's only 1 tank in OW2, which means I can't love this video as there's no Zarya to go with the Rein. I miss my Rein duo friend from OW1 man.

Atleast lower ranks are more fun and unpredicable than just standing in a corner and swinging your hammer for 5 straight minutes.

Addressing the weird shatter in the beginning, I’ve documented a few of my shatters not popping off correctly, at first I thought it was my fault, but after some very clear hits, I’m starting to think there might be a bug in the game. Idk maybe I’m crazy 🤷♂️ either way, gonna contact Blizzard tomorrow.

I've had that shatter rein but not the rest of the team thing happen before. I think it may have something to do with landing the new shatter crit on the rein at just the right angle... Not sure honestly.

He was kiriko when the shatter in question happens IIRC. And it was neither of their fault tbh, flats just made a really good play there.
Think the hammer part of shatter went over shield but maybe shock wave originates from center of your model? Could explain how you hit him past shield but your body was behind the shield and shock didnt go through. Weird Rein interaction.

I'm afraid to make a formal complaint because it would mean two weeks of my fav character getting removed, but rein is SO BROKEN.
Shatter often misses people if you're too close.
Charge still has a horrible hit-box/hit detection/whatever.
Firestrike's animation lags intermittently (though out of sync animations are present on a quite a few characters that I've noticed)
Shield takes so much longer to register server side than client side (also a problem with other shield characters)
I have 40ms ping.
None of this should be happening.

Is it just me and my plat brain or does Flatts pick the weirdest times to shatter? I’m trying to understand to improve my own gameplay but I’m having a hard time
At 4:10 for example he holds shatter all through the enemy teams push while their rein is swinging then finally shatters at 4:30 into a shield? Do masters players ult only off reads or something?
for me it looks like he dont intentionally hold shatter anyway, he got shattered 1st at 4.17, coincidentally. if you look closely, right before enemy rein shatter, its a decent shatter for him. had flats not shattered, he will probably do it. but since he lost his opening, there's just no good reason to shatter, until he shatters the kiriko, which is a gamble i guess.

Im sort of new to the game(playing since free to play), why the pre-emptive swinging like at 0:57? i play rein quite a bit and never do this really
If they choose to rush in or try to push past they will catch at least one swing in while walking up to him. Also helps a lot if there is another rein and they want to take that corner from you and duel because you want to get your first swing in before the other rein can, building your ult faster than the other rein will.

there is nothing wrong with doing that. Swinging your hammer does not decrease or increase your movement or have any effect really. Since there is a chance where someone could just walk infront of your hammer randomly.
