Plaskett Creek Campground is located in Big Sur and has 44 campsites in a beautiful park-like setting among many mature Monterey pine and Cypress trees which offer nice shade. Most campsites (38) are reservable and are suitable for tents, trailers and RVs (from 35 to 50 feet). Group camping is also available. Each campsite also has a paved parking pad, table, fire ring and pedestal BBQ. Plaskett Creek is just south of San Dollar Beach, which is the largest sandy beach in the Big Sur area. Outdoor recreation includes biking, hiking, beach combing, surf fishing, swimming, body surfing, sunbathing, ocean kayaking, picnicking, horseback riding, and wildlife viewing.
