Candle Creek Campground is located on the Metolius River in the Deschutes National Forest in Central Oregon. The campground is the furthest downstream in a series of campgrounds that sit on the banks of the famous Metolius River and is the only campground located on the west side of the river. Candle Creek also parallels the campground as it meets with the Metolius River.
The campground can be accessed by a series of dirt roads and offers 10 well spaced out campsites to choose from. Campsites 9 and 10 are first come, first served while the others can be reserved online. There are pit toilets and no potable water at this campground. While the sites are spaced out well, Candle Creek Campground is not ideal for larger RVs or trailers due the small size of the parking spaces.

Ya I saw that spot as well someone was camped in it when I was there. Tons of other dispersed camping options in this area too
