There are some really great off-screen comedians that worked for Tim and Eric. The people who built this set, and the people in charge of their costume and makeup department are geniuses.
I like that this particular "commercial" doesn't go too overboard with its effects, etc. Some Tim and Eric sketches lay it on too thick for me. It rests nicely in the uncanny valley of commercials.
The shit they do with their mouths is unreal. They eyes remain completely dead and the glossy lips are either held slightly apart in a loose, wet smirk, or the little teeth show in a lifeless grin. It's perfect daytime TV parody acting.

I think you have to actually watch the full episode to watch it because it it's split up into parts during the episode. I think the second half is the funniest because it has a chat with an avatar that only has one response, since it's not connected to anything or anyone to get a real response. The part you're talking about is where they order non parachute pants right after they offer over 101 songs to listen to.

The product and decor are directed at seniors retired in Florida or Arizona, and preys on the senior fear of things invading their computer / home etc. My Mom just started on this route... she will no longer hire a cat sitter but insists on conscripting her friends and neighbors to do it, annoying them to no end. The Innernette.

a funny thing about this sketch that i dont think anyone's mentioned is that the set is a near-exact remake of the set from the vhs tape "the kid's guide to the internet". some of the patterns are a bit more tropical but the layout is almost identical
