Good for you and your energy is incredible. There is a vlog “Portugal from Scratch.” And this young woman is also tackling her farm, growing fruit trees, set up an irrigation system for them. I think she’s on her own as well. Todays vlog had her working on a small cement ,plunge pool. Very interesting.
Hey Maya Fantastic progress....love love love the new steps...which hopefully will make life a little more comfortable for you...I loved the use of the flat stones from the river....Great Job.....Paradise is looking more like paradise if that is possible!!!!!❤
Hi Maya...So pleased you are getting the stairs in. I have been worried you might slip and break an ankle or leg with no one around to come to your aid. So kind of all your helpers especially Paul. Before you go to Switzerland will you show us the forest area after the clearing lorries came - hopefully they did!! Take carexx
Oh Maya when you bought this place did you ever think what muscles you would need for such a renovation? Bet you did not. So everything at hand and locally sourced and with help of friends a continued process of rejuvenation. Give it 6 months and you should be able to move about without feeling tired and constant back ache should reduce. Thanks for sharing.
I worked nonstop like you on 5 acres in Alabama in the U.S. Then I worked 12 hour shifts in a Cotton Mill weaving Denim for 15 years. Please be careful with all the heavy repetition on your wrists. That Carpal Tunnel will creep up on you before you know it. It is very painful and I was told by well meaning seniors to slow down as I usually worked 60 hours a week, sometimes more. I can see that your work ethics are the same. Be careful !!
Good morning if it was me I would’ve use that wall to build steps on I would have used wood 2x10 x 24 inch stairs mount it to the concrete blocks on each side and the top with A brace and concrete screws
Nice vlog. Well filmed and edited. Personally, I found it not to be a complete torture watching your backside move around. But then again, The Three Degrees made a song about me: Dirty Old Man.
Thank you to all the Present, Past, and Future Volunteer's for helping her. You all are the most amazing, kind, loving, Human beings out there.
@Maya you should continue to do the stairs all the way to wall... big stairs, I think they would look good. ❤

The stairs are beautiful! How many days did it take? How will you secure and landscape the rest of the hill?
Viver junto á ribeira é viver num pedaço do paraíso, tudo de bom 🐞🦋🐝🌼🌴🇵🇹
