    Lalique is so underrated

Lalique is truly a master house when it comes to fragrances. I think any of the fragrances mentioned could easily be “niche”. Hommage à l'Homme is one of my signature scents as well- and it is such a groundbreaking fragrance that is tragically under appreciated. Great list! ❤

Appreciate the comment and you, for watching Michael! And yeah shame it didn't really get the love it deserved and looks like its going the way of its Voyager flanker (one I unfortunately haven't tried) to discontinuation.

Great house. I personally prefer encre noire over à l'extrême. Also, I think perles can be pulled off by masculine audience too

Yeah really glad I ended up getting that one even though its marketed toward women, really amazing stuff and for incredible price!

Pour Homme Lion is awesome. My go to for15 years alongsideTom Ford, different price points, equal quality.
Never had a lady not comment on it when I'm wearing Lion!

So strange, I get a lot of cypress and smokey vetiver from OG Encre Noir, no inkeyness what so ever to my nose, like at all🤔. Great review tho. Got me interested in a few Lalique offerings!

Great, you should do more of these house tour videos.

Thanks appreciate that! And I do plan on it! Lalique was an easy house since they're pretty affordable. Don't have quite as extensive of a collection from other houses such as Dior or Chanel since they're quite a bit more expensive but will definitely do a house tour as I get more into more houses!

Love Lalique... if I'm being real Lalique and Issey Miyake are all I really need.

Id like to try some samples from this house i used to look after the beautiful glass artefacts in the national gallery in my city of Victoria.

Definitely would recommend! They have an incredible selection and I do love their glasswork too so their bottles add often times a nice aesthetic touch to the environment as well.

Cancelled my order for Equus edp after seeing this video. Had also ordered the Robert Talbott. Now I'm wondering what your opinion is on edt vs edp of Equus. Also wondering if you've had a chance to smell Afnan Highness III (green) and, if so, how it compares to Equus.

    • @tzfragrance

Haven't quite gotten around to exploring the middle eastern market as much as I would have liked to thus far so no reference for the Highness Green, but the two Equus offerings are almost identical, slight bit a more richness and more pronounced spices in the EDP which make the EDT a bit less challenging but the differences are very nuanced but yeah I actually bought the engraved EDT on eBay after getting my EDP in and seeing the printed horse. Lol really loved the glass finish one and had to have it when I noticed the EDP didn't have it! And hope the Robert Talbott treats you well. I just ordered a back up of one myself!

    Encre Noir a l'extreme 👏👏👏👏

This house is THE one that I try to let people in the US know about. They have so much to offer that people will love.
It's so hard to pick a favorite - both original and Equus pour hommes are great, and almost completely different from one another; my favorite EN is actually A L'Extreme. I think of EN as the prototype with all its impractical weirdness and no comforts for passenger or driver and the Extreme (despite the name) as the production version, the same general idea, but with all the bells and whistles added to make the driver and passengers comfortable.
White in Black is so good I stopped looking for deals on Layton. Ombre Noir if you can find it is one of my winter favorites. And like I always have said, L'Insoumis is "what Sauvage would have been if it had been made by Tom Ford" - a good amount of patch, without the ambroxan overdose, and smoothed out with some more aromatics. It's basically "my" Sauvage.
Actually I fibbed. by the time I got them all on my head it's clear that Hommage is my favorite if I could only keep one. It's by no means a crowd-pleaser - I call it a "bookish" floral woody musk as it somehow always makes me think of being in a library. It appeals both to my olfactory side and my nostalgic side. It makes me think that my mom when I was growing up just HAD to have a violet-wood scent when I was young, because in addition to the library feel it triggers a lot of childhood subconscious feels for me.
And while pricier, the "elements" line is AMAZING with my bottle buys being Silver, Gold and Zinc.
