I'm a 64 year old veteran who spent my life camping in Wisconsin, mining in California. And I have to say you are doing it right no kind of criticism from me. Keep it up and enjoy your life.
Just this morning, I was camping alone, and as I sat to have breakfast, a family of porcupines walk up to me and start begging. As I shared, and made more breakfast, I realized that when you’re camping alone, you’re never alone. You had some nice visitors too. Thank you, and be well.
Riders are never alone. And some of us wish we were with you cooking breakfast in the woods. Never alone brothers and sisters. May seem like it. The rest of us ARE THERE. In spirit. Remember that. Always
BTW you are also an inspirational woman for man riders. Men often come to riding with baggage- we are taught that things men do are supposed to be risky, and if it isn't risky, we are shirking our manly duty. So even though motorcycling is clearly risky, a lot of us feel compelled to add risk, add drama. We act like it is a big deal and it takes extraordinary strength or skill to ride. We dismiss little bikes and go right for the big ones, even though they have serious drawbacks limiting the fun. All this drama scares a lot of people, women and men both, away from riding. Your videos show us the truth. The truth is that if you focus on the right skills, an practice frequently and carefully, you can be reasonably safe on the road pretty soon. And it is AWESOME! You model sanity, an easygoing, joyful attitude, careful planning, intelligent decisionmaking, and how gravel doesn't have to be a big deal. I am convinced there would be many more riders, including men, if they felt the permission to approach it the way you do.
The big mistake that a few of my younger biker friends have made is thinking that the icing on the cake is blonde trophy girlfriend with big boobs wearing a short skirt and heels that she cannot cross the road wearing. When they meet my wife and she cooks a stir fry with a steak or lamb chops, rather than run to McDonalds they soon see the error of their ways. If they are still not convinced, an evening discussing her enjoyment of outdoor life and her love of animals soon shows them that a like minded partner is what they really need in their lives, rather than a shallow minded bimbo who cannot think beyond the colour of her nail polish. It is a very common mistake in life and the price is often a very lonely existence, particularly when the blonde hair goes grey and the boobs start to sag.
You're camping in a camp ground, not in the back woods. Anyone that would criticize you for buying wood needs to get a life. This is not a bushcrafting video. lol I bought a camping hammock similar yours for my bugout bag and I have yet to use it! You've motivated me to find an excuse to just go somewhere and try it out. Life always gives you an excuse to not do certain things. Time to put my foot down. Thanks for your inspiring videos.
C P most campgrounds have rules against processing their timber. Not to mention they are so heavily used that they are extremely picked over of deadfall.

Depending on the girlfriend, yeah...... One of them, I used to say: - My girlfriend is "bi".... People would smile nervously, and ask: - Bisexual? And I'd answer: - Oh, no! I wish! She's bipolar!!

Great video! I’m 53 now, but started camping alone on two wheels as a teenager in high school. One aspect I really enjoy about it, is that feeling of self reliance, autonomy, and independence that I feel during those times. One way i up it to another level, is to find good boondocking locations, where I can go Repetivily. This really adds to my pleasure, and gives me a feeling of getting something for nothing, and giving the middle finger to society, society’s rules, and just how expensive everything is these days. Really enjoyed your video! I feel like I got away from it all, even if, only in my head. 😆🙏

I’m such a Moto camper & I just really enjoy these vlogs you make. You just get it Jess & when you vlog it people love to see the peaceful, relaxing outdoor wildlife experience we get when we Moto camp. You do such amazing job bringing it to reality of what it’s like.
I will never forget one-time solo camping, despite the monstrous winds at night, the coyotes after the wind, the deer after that, and then eventually dogs, I unzipped my tent to just see the forest and cooked breakfast and just laid there, the scene is still so vivid in my mind, soo much peace
All I can say is that I’m envious. You know how to relax with yourself and that is incredibly valuable and important. I need to take a page from your life book and weave it into my life. I

It's hard to beat a nice overnighter on a motorbike. It's a pure sense of freedom that more people should enjoy. Great video, thank you for posting it up.
Many of the parks in Texas and some of the ones I've been to in Arkansas will not allow you to use ground wood or chop up the trees to build fires. It's not as odd as some people think.
Thank you for sharing! Your videos are inspirational to women like me who are intimidated but interested in motorcycles and camping! This trip looks like it went a lot better than your first one (which was also still an awesome video)
Thank you for your informative camping tutorial, from going over supplies to setting up camp. Camping is so such a fun and therapeutic way to debrief yourself from daily routines with giving yourself the opportunity to chill in nature. And your photography music and narration is very well done, seems the dear also like what your doing. Thank you !
Damn that's a sweet hammock! I need to try one out, for some reason I never have. That looks like a nice campsite too, I have no desire to "rough it" so something like that is nice
I really enjoyed this video. Seems you had a great time even alone. I don't like me well enough to call alone lol. I'm hoping to get my wife into motorcycle camping. We have a 2016 Dyna.
I have a friend that has the Lawson hammock. He rolled over at about three am and ended up hanging face down on the big net. Almost couldn’t stop laughing long enough to help him out of his hammock. Best trip ever to Dolly sods, WV. Looks like you have a great night. Good job with the camera work.
I rode for 4O plus years. Seen the sun come up over the badlands; rode Pikes Peak; rode across the Rio Grande when water levels were low; crossed the Rookie Mountains and rode the prairies of Canada; dipped my foot in the Pacific, the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic all within one week - all solo rides. It’s the freedom and the connection to nature. You’ve experienced it now and the bug has bit you. Enjoy it. I don’t ride anymore. My new “steed” is a 15 foot carbon canoe and I paddle the beauty of my Canadian lakes. Less chance of getting run off the road. Ride safe, enjoy the freedom!
“More troubles than your ex” 🤣 Honestly, I think not having the wood-buying ride footage in between went well with the flow of the video 👌🏽 PS I friggin LOVE your hammock!

“You’re in a forest, why would you buy firewood?” There are some places here in Texas where you’re not allowed to gather firewood. Usually state parks and the like. Anyhow, you’ve inspired me. Road Hog i worked on jet engines for 23 years and riding motorcycles. My ears ring loud
add 40 years of listening to heavy metal and the tinnitus takes on a whole new level
The best noise for a biker, when you arrived with the wood -air cooled engine cooling cracklng. When I arrive home from a ride just open a beer and listening to my bike's spirit how its playing music during cooling down with me.
I wish the sun should shine on you
