I know I've said this before--but you've us spoiled by having so many great ideas--and how-to and samples all neatly packaged in about 30 minutes. That's so fabulous. I have to admit, I've strayed recently (lol) and have been watching/exploring other channels and when I see them making something I've seen you do in a half hour and their vids are 60+ (some 1.5 hours!?!) to do the same thing--mind blown. I also greatly appreciate the 1/2 hour segments for longer tutorials-one bit at a time--makes so much sense and is "digestible".
70s stationery sets: remember the tri-fold, all-in-one sets? Where the writing space folded onto itself and that was also the envelope? All those "groovy" colors and designs, Holly Hobbie, Ziggy...the boxes or folders they came in were a big part of the fun =0)
This design also reminds me of a "lap book"--I've long been fascinated with those too--since I was a kid (in the 70s) the original "laptop"--everything all in one place: notes, papers, info, pens, clips, pics, etc. etc. That's a project that's high on my own list of things to make--as soon as my "play room" is done (goal for today).
PS: there are "mirror" apps that you can use to project what your phone's camera is seeing to your laptop = see without moving ;0)
I love the fact that your videos are 30 minutes, that's the exact amount of time I spend on the treadmill 🏃♀️ Thank you for making my exercise time so productive 😅😅😅
Born in the 50’s I loved getting stationary kits because I could then write to my Grandma. Wish I had kept her letters. This is such a great idea. Wouldn’t it be fun to start getting letters in the mail again? Hugs and blessings, 🤗❤️🇨🇦

I love writing and sending letters, postcards and cards that people love receiving. I have been pals and we delight in finding happy mail in our post boxes instead of just bills and junk mail, especially now when people are home more and the world's stressors are even higher than normal.

I was born in the early 60's and remember getting a wax and stamp set to close my letters when I was 10 and loved it.
So was I,born in 1960, in France. Writting to friends and family was a real pleasure and hobby... Crafting now reminds me this past time...😉

I'm finding that I have most of the tools needed, so I am having a great time watching these tutes and trying to come up with something similar to yours. @@ThePaperOutpost Thank you. I got sidetracked last night and found it was 1:00 in the morning. Slept til 10:00 this morning, after I take my breakfas, er....lunch...er...brunch. I'll be back on, looking at more.
I leave my glues lying on the side so the glue is closer to the opening than when it is standing upright. That way I don't have to wait quite as long for the glue to come out. Works pretty well.

Thanks so much for this! I was born in the mid 60s, so I remember well those writing sets. I even found an almost-new one that was left behind, when I moved into a new place! I’ve taken your idea and run with it. I made mine out of an old file folder and then glued the colourful pages onto it. It’s strong enough to send in the mail to someone that I want to get to write to me more often! If it works, I’ll credit it to you! Keep up the great work!

I inherited my mother in law’s Edith Holden stationery set and love just looking at it. Thank you for your videos. Your cheerful voice and enthusiasm have helped me cope with shielding during our lockdown here in the U.K. I’m starting to eye clothing nowadays... nice velvet blouse fabric, nice journal cover... husband’s old ties, cut into strips and use for closures... oh dear. I’m hooked!!

Watching you, I learn so much about flowers: Crimson Clover…Texas Buttercup…Evening Primrose…Medicks…Medicks? 🤔 That’s a new one to me lol. About the glue - you could play the Game of Opposites by telling us that it's been leaking all over the place and then when you are filming there won't be any leaks! Yeah? Yeah? Letter writing has always been my gig and I love love love anything stationery; the paper, pens, envelopes. I used to make my own envelopes years ago out of magazines and old calendars (still have the kit with the template for the envelopes) and just recently was making some with the grandkids. My letter writing took a hiatus for a few years while I struggled with neck injuries messing up my ability to use my left hand (dominant); I lost the ability to write (I'll never take that for granted again!!). Since I have regained a portion of strength and dexterity, I am delighted to once again be sending off quick notes and postcards to loved ones. Once again, you are inspiring and a delight to spend time with. I just wish your videos were longer (maybe put a vid cam on your Wishlist 😉) Oh and the story of Holly's Song is incredibly adorable. We love it when you share. 💜
Great video, Pam! Always loved stationary sets! I remember receiving them as gifts and they were always so pretty. See, we were trained early to fall in love with paper that folds and bends. Whew, so glad to know it was just good strong training and not a habit of paper hoarding, lol. Have a beautiful day.

Yes Pam, I not only remember giving and receiving those sets (still have a few stashed away), i put some of my "most precious paper" into the challange like you asked. 😊 I had saved it for 53 years waiting for something special like writing to Grandchildren or...! Another thing came to mind from this video. My Aunt Priscilla majored in Literature/English and when my Uncle moved his family back home to Idaho from Seal Beach/Pasadena, I remember being glad to have her close as she was a very special Aunt, but also because until they moved to Idaho where I lived, every letter i wrote to her would get a prompt response along with my letter to her . You know I love making my cards and writing little notes in them to my friends. They all tell how much they love them while they tell me that they just can't bring themselves to write a letter to anyone and that I should forgive them. Which I do and go on to make another card for them. I just think they it's so much more personal and I appreciate the person who takes the time to do it. It's a lost art.....to bad.
So stinkin cute and genius idea Pam. In the 1960's in elementary school we had pen pals, I kept up with mine until I was in my late 20's. I wonder what became of her often. My first grade teacher wrote until i was 27. I loved her letters too. I also wrote and received letters from my family and friends until social media took their letters away. I now have a friend who I met on u-tube who's channel I follow. We are pen pals. I enjoy getting letters, but postage is getting crazy. 😞💞😘💓

I can see so many possibilities for this project. I can remember my moms stationary sets and I can also remember loving them. I have had a paper fetish, lol for as long as I can remember. I am “of the age” that letter writing was the way you communicated. I recently joined some pen pal FB groups. It’s really fun to actually get something in the mail besides bills!

Great idea! It would make wonderful gift idea to have on hand AND we know it can be made in 30 minutes!🤣🥰 yes there are lids for the glue bottles...sold separately on amazon...they’re blue. I didn’t see them when I ordered my bottles so I just use a pin.
I loved getting the stationary sets. Haven't got one in years and years. I am thinkingni should make a bunch of these sets for Christmas and give to family and friends as Christmas gifts and kind of wink wink nudge nudge to them and maybe I'll get a letter or two next year. About the glue, when a glue stick is almost out I get annoyed but when I'm at the end of a glue bottle I get excited too and almost over use glue just to finish it. 😁😁
