Best way. 1 foot on each side of the kayak bend down and put butt in seat then place feet in cockpit 1 at a time. 26 years as a sea kayaker. Then before paddling make sure your all the way back and sitting up straight. Then set your spray deck(skirt) then off you go

I cannot have my feet in and butt on seat AND still slide my knees down. I get in the kayak very simply, feet first, slide forward until butt is in
