i built my first pc last year at the age of late 20. all that was thanks to lots of google, youtube and LinusTipTips as well as parts planning all within 2 weeks.
It’s just a bit of knowledge, in less than half a year I went from not knowing where my motherboard neither my gpu were, inside my case, to being able to build my own pc+being able to fix some stuff+being waaaay more aware of software+being waaaaay more ware of hardware+knowing a lil bit of reballing, if you actually have the interest to search for it, you’ll get it quickly (obviously I’m not saying I’m a pro, I’m just an amateur guy who know a thing or two about it, but it’s useful and fun, at least for me) -her pc is probably better than mine tho :’) mine isn’t bad, it’s actually good, but isn’t at the top, plus, my monitor is still 144hz, and I got other with 60hz, she has 3 if I remember and one of them with 240hz, I’m looking to get one of those- Edit: well, seems like my gpu is a bit better than hers, if it isn’t the TI version, she has a 1080 and I have a 2070 super (in the country I live, don’t ask me why, but the 1080 and 1080 TI were more expensive than the 2070 super, and 2080/2080 super/2080 TI were crazy expensive, so I went with the best deal, with a great performance and better price compared to the others)
>Fractal Design Well, that's a legit brand alright. If she's not using a Noctua fan, I'll be surprised. Also, testing systems outside of case first makes her Tech Jesus (Gamer Nexus' Steve) approved. And using 1080 for her new build? Hey, at least she has better foresight than 2080 Ti buyers lol
I got bad news for you bro. 1080 is what's in her current PC; she already has a 2080Ti on standby for the E-ATX build. But then streamers using OBS on the same PC generally need a lot more graphics power than the games alone typically require. a buyer remorse from me that i hope others can found helpful of, is that if your PC is going to be placed on your desk, and you have like 22inch or 55cm space in length for your PC, you don't need to buy any smaller cases like mATX, assuming your ceiling is like 7ft/213cm tall, and your table is only 28inch or 71cm, you can basically buy most cases, there are also ATX cases with good cable management space and wide space for big GPU or CPU cooling solutions, that's only like 5 inch or something wider than an mATX. Don't buy a god damn mATX with suboptimal airflow, limited GPU/CPU cooler size, or use mATX motherboards with only 1 PCI-E 16x slot (iirc, intel CPU's mATX motherboard do have options that comes with 2 PCI-E 16x, but you must use a very low profile GPU that only takes like 1.5 slots). Just don't do that to yourself.
